Plumb Line
A plumb line is a simple but accurate tool used for determining whether
or not something is perfectly vertical i.e. upright. Used since very ancient
times, a plumb line consists merely of a line and a weight of some sort, at
first just a stone, but later a weight made from lead. The Lord also used,
and uses, a "plumbline," His Word, to determine how upright His people
truly are in His sight.
Amos 7
7 This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had
been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. 8 And the LORD
asked me, "What do you see, Amos?"
"A plumb line," I replied.
Then the Lord said, "Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people
Israel; I will spare them no longer.
9 "The high places of Isaac will be destroyed
and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined;
with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam."
Rise up, O LORD!
Let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before
You. --Num 10:35
Arise and have compassion on Zion,
For it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. --Ps
102:13
A plumb line is set in the midst of the LORD's people
Who will measure up?
When Jesus returns will He find faith on the earth? --Lk 18:8
Who will listen to the LORD's instruction?
Who will obey His word?
Isaiah 30
9 These are rebellious people, deceitful children,
children unwilling to listen to the LORD's instruction.
10 They say to the seers, "See no more visions!"
and to the prophets, "Give us no more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.
11 Leave this way, get off this path,
and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!"
12 Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says:
"Because you have rejected this message,
relied on oppression and depended on deceit,
13 this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
14 It will break in pieces like pottery, shattered so mercilessly
that among its pieces not a fragment will be found
for taking coals from a hearth or scooping water out of a cistern."
Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your
garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and
defiled will not enter you again. --Isa 52:1
Rise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion, the harvest is here. --Mic 4:13
You were forged a strong scepter by GOD of Zion; now rule, though
surrounded by enemies! --Ps 110:2
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him. --Ps 2:10-12
May the people of Zion be glad in their King
A plumb line is set in the midst of the LORD's people
Awake and Rise up with high praises and a double edged sword! --Ps
149:6

Yes, a plumb line is set in the midst of the Lord' people......... and it is time to awake.....rise up with high praise and a double edged sword
As He has spoken, many times it is NOW... to gather the outcasts of Israel, to be ready to go out, into the places so ordained by His command. Let us understand to not break rank, as the army of the LORD is now being set out, to go.. It is time to war.. and be in the places He wants us to be, and not where we want to be. We will conquer the places of the enemy now, with the double edged sword, in what He has given us, and take back the land...
The plumb line is set . . . . . G l o r y !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks all for the replies
:)
Christine -- it was interesting in your message to see Zerubabbel using
the plumb line too.
I was struck by how the plumb line is not only used to build the LORD's
house -- but also to judge it
anything that is not upright -- does not measure up is destroyed --
shattered, no longer to be used for taking coals from a hearth or water
from a cistern ...
You do not want to experience this wrath
Also that judgement is executed by those with high praises and a sword
-- the word of God.

Isaiah 1:18-20, 27-28
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are
like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best
from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the
sword." Truly the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Zion will be redeemed with justice {judgement} and her repentant ones with
righteousness. But rebels and sinners will both be broken {shattered}, and
those who forsake the LORD will perish {be totally consumed with
unquenchable fire}.
