In 2000, 400,000 people, both young and old, gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC to fast and pray believing the dream that a nation can change. Amen, Ron. I was there in Washington D.C. with hundreds of thousands others in 1980 as we knelt before the Lord, humbling ourselves and crying out to God to heal our land. Others are also doing this.

Just a clarifiation: These types of "bindings and rebukings" are to be done in the Spirit's Timing and direction. An angel from the Lord once rebuked me for "binding" the devil and His work apart from direction of the Spirit. He said "Quite binding the devil, you are grieving the Holy Spirit."
I know that doesn't "sound" right to many intercessors and warriors. But timing is everything. I've seen people destroyed getting into battles the Lord has not sent them into.
Believe it or not, some regions and people are given over to the Devil for a season to destroy the flesh so that thier souls may be saved.
It's not as easy as just rebuking the different ruling spirits. It's probably more important to see warriors rise up in true authority rather then the assumed authority I see many intercesors walk in. True authority has an element of rest and lack of worry and fear. Rest is the highest form of warfare!
Like one man said, Why do think think you can cast down principalities when you can't even win the battle of the knife, fork and spoon.
In other words, people need to win the inward battle over thier flesh FIRST in order to fight those battles externally.

Kriston, in spite of the fact that I am convinced the spirits about which I’ve written were impressed on me by the Holy Spirit through the Word, I will be the first the say that I see only in part and usually through a pretty dark glass. You have a very good point regarding ‘true authority’ and especially about timing…. I thank you for making it. I believe it’s actually a dangerous thing to take on warfare when the knife and fork, or any other thing for that matter, still reign supreme. Timing, too, is of paramount importance.
Having said that, I believe we, the gatekeepers, have been lax in our duties. While there is a company of intercessors who have been diligent as they have cried out before the Lord as He has led them, there are the rest of us who have not pulled our weight, so to speak. The intercessors on the front lines have been taking quite a beating recently from what I hear and they need recruits to come and battle at their sides.
As I read your response, I ‘heard’ the word gatekeeper. I looked up the definition and found this: “a third party whose consent or approval is necessary to effect a transaction.”
If we are the ‘third party’ as intercessors, gatekeepers or simply Christians obedient to praying for our countries, could it be suggested in our neglect we have given tacit consent or approval to a transaction....ie: the evil that has been flooding through the gates for years?
Each must pray as directed by the Spirit of the Lord but I believe I can say without a shred of doubt or misgiving that everybody better get praying…..and immediately!
On his church website, Loren Sandford has this:

I had the following sense: A mega-disaster is coming, like it’s edging closer, and it will strike before rising seas from global warming becomes a real issue.
Me: "If true, Lord, what to do?"
God: "Pray that they may see the true importance of it, that they turn to Me. Signs and wonders. Hidden tactics of the enemy. I am there to rescue you and you need have no fear."
Me: "When?"
God: "The near future."
Me: "Whose 'near'? Yours or mine?"
God: "Bush will not finish out his term before it strikes."
Please take the timeline (my question of "when") with a grain of salt. I humbly say that I haven't always been accurate with timelines, so please don't hold me to that, except the part about it coming before the rising seas become a problem. I have, however, been very accurate at hearing God for the actual facts.
So we are being called to prayer, not so much for disaster to be averted, but for the church to rise in the midst as a beacon of hope and healing and shine as it should. Please pray. The hour is urgent.
All I can say is we must keep seeking wisdom and discernment………and resist passivity.

Thanx Holly,
You certainly do have wisdom and a trumpet call for this hour. I hear what you are saying about gatekeepers. I tend to respond to things that "touch" on the things I have been given by the Lord to speak on, and I am sure for you it is the same. Spheres of authority regarding truths or works of the Lord are intergral part of the understanding of warring in these days.
I did not write to be controversial or competitive. In my opinion, the specific details of battles are diseminated more directly from the Holy Spirit. If there are those who need to be given direction from men for a battle, and are not given instruction clearly by the Holy Spirit, then usually they are not in a position to take on the fight. My experience interceding and working closely with intercessors is that they get specifics directly from the Lord, and understand thier assigned sphere of influence directly from the Lord.
I struggle with those that get a territory assignment from an "intercessor" network, and take orders from a "general" of intercession as to the spirits and issues to confront. I see some of these living in competition, worry, fear, and basic disheveled upheaval in thier lives as they are warring in the power of the flesh many times.
That being siad, this is the hour for these to rise up and take thier true callings and fight the battle of the ages. Priase God! He is the victor.
About gatekeepers. This issue is THE issue of REST. This has to do with spheres of authority and taking a place of confidence and dominion in the places we each are given authority.
Gatekeepers are those who "occupy" a place in the realm of the spirit. In each area of an individuals life where there is defeat, the place of occupation they are assigned also experiences the same defeat. In the same manner, when victory is made, and confidence and authority are reinforced, so the place of occupation experiences the same measure of freedom. So in reality the battle is not rebuking or doing, but BEING!
The battle really is within ones self, and once authority is exerted within, it requires very little to enforce it in your own sphere of influence. Truly you can get to a place where you don't even give the devil a second glance, and your REST authority just naturally dismantles works of the devil. This is not just a theory.
Many are experiencing defeat and frustration and rebuking every devil known to man. Yet it does NO GOOD, because the higher level of warring is found in gatekeeping. That is BEING the gate yourself, and occupying a place in the heavenly realm that doesn't take shouting or ranting, but simply being in REST, confidence, and victory in the inward life. This denies the work of the devil.
That is why I caution regarding the direction to rebuke a list of spirits. I have seen from experience that GATEKEEPING is the only sure manner of victory. this really is the Kingdom of God come. Kingdom authority is found in the reality of entering into rest.

I, too, sense the impending "something"...sooner than later. While I'm in 100 percent agreement that our battle is spiritual and our top priority in terms of preparation is drawing closer to the Lord, He has also impressed upon me a need for "natural" preparation, as well.
Lately, I have been stocking up on simple goods: bottled water, canned foods, etc.; "disaster-kit" type preparation, except on a broader scale. I sense an urgency to tell others about this, as well. I have a strong sense that the bulk of this type of preparation should be done by late this year...but of course, I could be wrong.
If I'm reading this right, then someone--if not my family--will be glad we stocked up on things. If not, the worst we end up with are items we will use anyway...items that I guess are about to cost more than we could imagine.
The storms are coming. It could be terrorism, natural disasters, or something else. But it most certainly will affect our economy and trade. Get ready.
Prepare, prepare, prepare. In EVERY way. Might giving a brother a bottle of water lead to him being open to a greater gift?

Gracious Kris, there’s not a whiff of either in your post. J If I’m to be a teachable person then gaining wisdom from a brother in the Lord is something I welcome.
“Under His direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing in love.” Ephesians 4: 16
So with that, as well as what you’ve written, in mind I sat and thoughtfully prayed. Very interesting. I immediately had a mental picture of Nehemiah’s wall and the people re-building with trowels in one hand and a sword in the other. While one was working and trying to wield his sword, another said, “you need to hold your sword this way” and proceeded to demonstrate so the work could be done more proficiently.
Precisely what you’ve done here.
Marsha Burns has this on the website….I think there’s a significant connection with the gate keeping concept. What do you think?
I see our walk with the Lord as being more of a flow, like a river instead of a series of starts and stops. So, this is how I currently perceive the spiritual and prophetic flow.
Five months ago the Lord began to speak to us about the New Plateau, which basically is a higher altitude of revelation and service in the kingdom, and the Lord is causing us to arise to this new spiritual level.
The first important revelation came regarding binding and loosing, opening and shutting, allowing and forbidding.
Matthew 16:19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Isaiah 22: The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open
Isaiah 45:1-3 "Thus says the LORD to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held––to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.
In our past Christian experience, we have used Matthew 16:19 mostly in this context as we pray: “Satan, we bind you in the name of Jesus, and we loose the Holy Spirit into this situation!” But, with fresh revelation of this concept, we took this scripture verse and began to rise up into the spirit realm and open and shut doors. The results have been astounding and miraculous.
Thank you Amber for posting this. I didn't post all of what I'd written initially because I had a bit of a spiritual check to wait to do that. However, with what you've written, I'm adding it now for I believe the time is right.
For those who are righteous God will be your refuge and safety.
During this time the Lord is expecting us to help other Christians who are in need. Offering food or shelter or hospitality to those who are struggling in their travels. Whatever we have, we’ve been given in order to share. But there will be the constant need for vigilance and especially for those in cities because of civil disobedience, gangs acting in unlawful manner.
There will be danger everywhere but just as the Lord protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, so the followers of Christ will be protected and this will cause many to turn to the Lord as they see the power of God demonstrated in our lives during such trials.
The Lord will preserve His remnant.
In America there will be panic. However, the righteous will listen to the Lord and follow His lead. Some are being led to move their place of residence and others will stay where they are….each must know the Lord’s voice for their direction as this approaches. ALL must turn to Him and walk in complete obedience.
So what can we do today to prepare?
If you don’t know Christ you are in the worst possible position for not only what’s coming to the world but for eternity. Repent of your sin and turn to Christ.
If you do know the Lord, examine yourself and ask the Lord if there is anything about which you need to obey or repent. Do not defile yourself with unworthy things.
If you haven’t received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, begin seeking the Lord for this.
Fast and pray. Get on your face before God! Consider a Daniel Fast because it may be a prolonged fast…but as the Lord leads you of course. Seek the Lord with all of your heart and do the warfare for your own life and the warfare over your country. Satanic forces have been unleashed but the army of the Lord is the most powerful on earth.
Be generous, now more than ever. It may be money to whatever person or cause the Lord puts on your heart but it may also be something with which the Lord has gifted you. All we have is His and that includes abilities as well as material things. Ask Him what He would have you do. The generosity you sow to others now will be something you reap during the hard times.
Will you need emergency supplies? Possibly. Probably. However, even that you must
ask the Lord about. The timing of what’s to come is unknown and only the direction of the Holy Spirit will tell you what you need to do in this regard. The most important thing though is that when and if you do begin to make preparations of this sort, it’s not for hoarding and only for you but in order that you can share with others in need when the time comes.
Educate yourself. First and foremost the Bible of course. Then start researching on your computer.
I believe it’s time to be a doer.
The Lord IS coming with signs and wonders. He will demonstrate His mighty power. He will also demonstrate terrifying acts. Throughout all of this there is going to be the most extraordinary revival -- many will turn to the Lord.
As this happens the judgments will cease and the Lord will pour down His blessings. Crops will be grown again and though we will have walked through the “Valley of Weeping” it will become a place of refreshing springs (psalm 84)
The land will be filled with His glory.
He will give leaders who are men and women after His own heart.
The nation will honour the Lord and in turn be a blessing once again to other nations.
“He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and He is the glory of your people Israel.” Luke 2: 32

Wow Holly! You basically took the words out of my mouth with this last post from Marsha Burns.
After I last posted you the Lord kept bringing back to me some things. First was the verse in which Peter was told :
Matthew 16:19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
It's important to remember that the Whole city of the New Jerusalem is a picture of the Bride. The BODY of CHRIST! Those gates represent people, just as the foundations represent 12 apostles.
Rev. 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
We are becoming the habitation and dwelling of God. The place Jesus is preparing for us is a realm in the spirit that we occupy and fill with the presence of God within us. Praise God!

There has been, for the past few months a stirring in my heart that something is also 'on the way'. I have had a couple of dreams that have really sparked my attention of volcano's and incoming nuclear missiles.... Since I don't usually have dreams like this and espeically in color.... I have been seeking the Lord for His wisdom and revelation as well as watching the signs appearing all around....
I am not able to store up food because my apt is simply not big enough nor is my paycheck! However, I have been networked together by the Lord's hand, with believers who also believe that someing is coming and they are taking steps as the Lord leads...
It is prudent and wise to inquire of the Lord and ONLY DO what HE directs you to do. Remember, the 'need' is never the call. There will always be needs.... however, authorization and marching orders from the Captain of the Lord's Host, is mandatory.
Hear His voice and direction, THEN move out in obedience.
Truly, it is way past time to pray.... but because it has been quite difficult to 'rally the troops' to pray.... the glory is falling and things are shaking...... maybe even literally.
The remnant; called out, chosen ones who belong to and love and lay down their lives for Jesus WILL be kept safe under the shadow of the Almighty as they 'rest' in that Secret Place of the Most High....
To every thing there is a season... and a time to every purpose under the heavens...... judgment first to the church..... it is time to willingly fall upon the Rock and be broken...... for the time is quickly approaching when the Rock will fall upon you and crush you to powder.
God grants us each choice now..... TODAY if you hear His voice do not harden your heart......
one will put one thousand to flight.....
two will put ten thousand to flight.......
Jesus who ever lives to make intercession for the saints is seated at the right hand of the Father, and we too, are seated together WITH HIM in heavenly places above principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places.... Jesus has given us AUTHORITY over serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy.... NOTHING shall by any means harm you.... No weapor formed against us shall prosper.....

I agree! Also, the Lord showed me in a dream two years ago that the only things that WON'T be "knocked down" in the shaking are His Church and His power. His Church will stand...His power will flow...and those who are walking in Him will continue to walk...though the proverbial "ground" will be shaking.

Also...Julie's post is very important with regard to what I've been hearing from the Lord: there are those who won't be able to stock provision, even though they "see" what's coming. Those who are sensing the need to stock up...and who are able...must do so for themselves and others within their reach.

Yes the church is already being power packed, and it is not
the Energizer Bunny... 
We will and are equiped.. as those whom have gone thru tremendous trails already, as to be used by Him in the days ahead. If you are not trained in the armed forces, you're NOT READY... Trim the wick, break up the hard ground. . . let the oil of Him fill you, so there is oil in your lamp.. be ready and be like the wise virgins.. ... it is a very serious time........
