Driving home from work, I heard the Lord speak to me. It had been a rainy morning, but now the skies were mostly clear and a pale blue clear. He had me look to my left and asked, "What do you see?" Answering I said, "I see a cloud."
I am still leading those who would look to me for direction. I offer protection from the ways of my enemies. Do not give up. Continue to look for that cloud of rain. It will rise up. Learn patience and have faith in the words I speak through you.
Draw away into me. Relax in me. I have not changed my heart. I am ever for you. Feed yourself of the bread of life. Seven times Elijah looked from Mount Carmel. He did not move away or speak until I showed myself.
Watch for me. Look for my cloud of presence.

I had a dream last night (about 9,30pm SA time) on 16/5/09 in which it began to rain: I was walking uphill surrounded by a huge crowd of people and it started to literally pour down: some people were heading for their houses but I knew that I needed to stay on the road and carry on climbing: I had a sense that the homes that people were heading for were not the safe place to be - it was safer on the road, in the rain. I realised that I was carrying my child, a son, in my arms and as I looked down, I saw that he was not a baby but he was walking with me, holding my hand: he looked about seven years old: I lifted up my face to the sky and felt the torrent of rain come down and I woke up singing this song (I have not sung this song for three decades)

Thanks Elaine. Good advise. Too often I allow myself to become disconnected.
Prema, I've learned to enjoy the sound of rain, esp at night. Since you noticed the time of your dream, I'd suggest it is important. You might look for a 9:30 or a 21:30 verse that perhaps Father is wishing to minister to you.
