Surrender to Me!
The result of an earnest surrender is peace.
There is a pursuit of "righteousness" which does not produce peace.
There is a pursuit of "righteousness" which produces war.
Can you reconcile the difference?

There is also a demand for peace.....at all costs.... that is not righteous. There is a pursuit of righteousness that will not bow the knee to that unrighteous demand.

James 3:18
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Romans 12:18
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
Tina ~ Yes if our surrendering to the Prince of Peace makes people to hate us then we didnt create strife.

So,
in order for us to be at peace, when following after righteousness, we
are to bow our knee to very unrighteous demands? Is that what you are
saying?

There is a pursuit of self-righteouness (that is as the counterfeit of righteouness) that produces strife, bias ect.

So, if someone close to you is asking you to do things you know to be
wrong according to scripture and according to righteousness....then you
are saying if you are truly righteous then you are going to submit to
that....in order for there to be peace??? If they are demanding that you comply in unrighteousness then you who are righteous must then do so??? Is that what you are saying?

No your right - it would not be right to compromise even if someone you love is demanding you to.
The point is more about the pharisees who demanded that others follow the law their way which really kept others at bay - separated others from their "special" place. Their "righteousness" was more of a pride. They followed the law so that they would be seen by others.
This self righteous following of the law wasnt really righteousness in the true sense of the word. Their "righteouness" actually produced strife because it was more of a lynch mob mentality - a witch hunt, using the law to condemn people.
Blessings
