One of my former pastors is John Kilpatrick; yep, the same one that had the Brownsville Outpouring revival that went on for nearly 10 years and spread all over the world.  He received this "download" of a prophetic word in a matter of 5 seconds or less.  I know exactly what he meant by that because I have experienced the exact same thing.  God said he was going to give him a 12 letter word that would relate to the next 3 years (2009-2011).  The word is "RESURRECTION".  I bought the audio CD and listened to it, making notes of the major points.  It is very distasteful to me for someone to get an important word from God and merchandise it; I understand covering expenses but not $16 for an audio CD - "Freely you have received, freely give".  I paid for it and I'm passing out the synopsis.  If you feel the need to listen to the whole sermon, buy it.

R: Rescue.  The Lord said "I am going to Rescue them this year".  He is talking about us, the Christians.  Supernatural help.

E: Extreme Measures.  He will use whatever means is necessary to rescue us.

S: Signs in the heavens.  He will manifest the glory of the Lord in the
heavens.  The heavens will tremble (Joel, Hag. 2:5; Matt. 24).

U: Usher.  He is sending his angels to usher in what he is going to do.  They will usher you into provision and into your place.

R: Recover and experience Recovery.  We will Recover what the enemy has taken from us, and our health.

R: Russia.  Keep a wary eye on Russia and pray for Obama.

E: Earthquake.  The New Madrid fault from just south of Chicago, going south/southwest to the border of western TN and AR.  Going to be very very bad.

C: Candlestick.  He will remove some.  Candlesticks are ministers or ministries.  God will no longer tolerate their disobedience and sinfulness.

T: Time.  There is not much time left.  We are right at the end of the age of the gentiles.

I: Israel & Jerusalem.  They are God's timepiece.

O: Overthrow evil.  God will overthrow entire cities that as he did Sodom and Gomorrah.

N: Near.  His coming is near.

Thanks from me, too. I was interested in hearing this, just to "weigh it", but I, too, was turned off by the merchandising of it.

This was mentioned 2 wks ago ..  citing a Sid Roth program he was on .. I caught the t.v. program and was VERY turned off by this 'servant' who has a need for ?  cash I suppose...  selling his WORD from God.  I would imagine our Father  is not to pleased with those shenanigans.

Ricky~

Thank you so much for posting this.  I too had watched the program and really wanted to know what the prophetic download was.  Blessings to you.

I have been to Brownsville many of times back when you could not even get a seat. We had friends at Dr. Browns school there so we always got front row seats. I remember all the hoopla and charasmatic craze that did sweep the nation shortly after Toronto and Brownsville. But I am still looking for what good it ever produced.

Brownsville was plagued with major problems in the midst of revival and then rapidly fell apart......this does not seem like genuine revival to me. There was great strife within leadership and they soon went their seperate ways.

Has anyone truly examined what we call "revival" ? What has been the result of the "revivals in the last 15 years, or even the revival with Todd Bentley last year? It has been an utter mess. A lot of "leaders" have been birthed from these "revivals" and yet none had the discernment to see the pending problems of the "Florida Outpouring" with Todd Bentley.

Given their tracks records, why should anyone give one gram of consideration for anything these leaders say?  I am only asking.

The religious world has been duped and seduced by spirits of seduction, I know that I have in the past, and proceed with much caution these days. God is not in this mess we call "revival".....it is in His will, but  the spirit controlling the atmosphere is not HIM.

There really is such great simplicity in knowing Him. Yet all the books, teachings, words of knowledge, prophecy, and other vain repetitions of man make it nearly impossible to ever come to the peace of simply knowing Him.

James - I am truly sorry that for all the time and effort you obviously put
into seeking into these things..you came away with nothing from God.

I am thinking you are looking for good produced from it all in your own
setting. And not seeing any.

I have been in circumstances myself where I have been talked by an
enthusiastic friend or friends to engage in some activity that they are
excited about...or it's billed to be a certain thing. And have found that
upon engaging in it myself...it was NOT beneficial to me and so there was
loss and waste..as a result. Been there.

BUT - on the other hand, for OTHERS this - whatever it was...business
venture, spiritual type meeting or setting, family or relational activity in
the particular venue was TOTALLY God and His hand was clearly on it for
them. Maybe even a LOT of other THEMS.

And so, if you are truly looking to see if any good at all came to OTHERS
then there's information aplenty regarding that.

And I do agree there have been a lot of problems and faults and
failures..absolutely! I am amazed at what God can and will use (or whom)
to reach or touch...

You are absolutely accurate that all the true effect is INSIDE the person
and in any setting or instance it could be that there is NOTHING there in
it of God for your life. And so we utterly depend on God for if, when,
where etc....and in His mercy there could be times we go off somewhere
to some place and it's not where He is sending us and yet He gives us
something in it...other times it's as you say...and so we depend upon HIM
getting us fitted where He wants us.

I am beyond saying anyone has NOTHING of value that God may use to
reach inside me....I never know where or how...or who He will use. So I
cannot make assumptions like that. There's hidden treasure in the
unlikliest of places...

On the other hand it takes it too far to say others (like me) have had
NOTHING at all happen of any effect...it's probably far fewer than it's been
billed...or than it's appeared in some eyes...

One other thot .. and by no means am I placing any of the numerous
outporings of say the past 150 years on level with Jesus'
stature..however...did not the multitudes walk away shaking there heads
and saying there was nothing to it...and end up calling Him a full out
fraud and ordering His execution? I am not saying these are equal to
His...only that there may be a need for a bit of tempering of sweeping
assumptions by focusing only on the lack of "having really recieved
anything lasting" I do believe it's recorded things like that were spoken of
Jesus and also were speculated regarding the early church...that it would
probably fizzle out...

Hi Ricky,

Can you tell from the CD whether God gave all of those words or just the one word RESURRECTION?

At surface value it smacks of those contrived lists of words, whose first letters make a word for you to remember the message, reeled out time and time again in sermons. (but then maybe I've spent too much time behind the scenes witnessing speakers desperately trying to come up with the last word, something beginning with "N", to complete their snazzy presentation.)  I'll have to swallow my words if I'm wrong, but feeling quite cynical about this.  I don't know, it just doesn't feel fresh.

James,

While I feel that some people were truly "revived" in the midst of all the "revivals" that have occured since about 1994...I think that is because the individuals heart was truly seeking God and they did not go to these meetings looking to men with "titles", etc. but out of desparation to find more of God.

Too many "church" people are still caught up in big names, people with large followings or those who know how to generate "excitement".

I think we are and have been seeing true revival but it is not in all of these huge meetings, it is in individuals scattered here and there whose hearts have gone all out after God and want nothing but Him and have taken an unshakeable stand without compromise even if it means being blasted for it.

These individuals are beginning to see people healed and set free in unknown street corners, jails, supermarkets, their neighborhoods and true revival will follow them wherever they go.  These are not out after a name or glory or wealth...they want one thing and one thing only...to please God.

I saw a picture...I was standing on a street corner and before me was a long line of people who were standing outside waiting to purchase tickets to an event.  I quietly (making sure nobody could see) began walking along and touching various individuals.  They fell every which way under the power of God, were healed, and met God for themselves.  None saw who touched them...I enjoyed this immensely.

I do not intend for this to negate witnessing...but I think God will do things like this.

I agree with you that the religious world has been seduced...they do not yet understand the immensity of the seduction that has invaded the religious system...yet most of them would deny that they are part of a "system"...it will take something incredible by the Hand of God to convince them of it.

Hang in there James.

what real kingdom revival looks like is masses of people coming into the
kingdom being filled, healed transformed...we can see that clearly
depicted in scripture..and this is in fact the vision of God for His people
going all the way back into the OT and all the way into the new...He
shared that as His vision for Israel to be a nation and kingdom of priests
UNTO THE NATIONS - and this was also His vision for His church...

this is not happening here in the West...

it IS happening to some degree in other nations...in fact one lady who was
ready to curl up die give up and go back to work for Kmart...went to
Toronto and was thrust forth into the harvest...and not 10,000 converts
but 10,000 CHURCHES (minimum) have sprung forth as a result...THAT is
revival...not to mention miracles being common and many raised from the
dead...not by her hands but by the children's - often children who'd been
thrown away in the dumps....

if each of us are truly in full fledged revival as occurred again and again
in ACTS whenever they gathered in one accord -- then would there not
be like results around us wherever we are?

may I say a correction? it is not happening in FULL MEASURE in the
west...not even as fully as it's happening in the East - the Lord corrected
me
on that one.

might there not be a connection between the ONE ACCORD and the
fullness?

God never created nor designed the divisions..Paul discusses a number of
them to Corinth....all sorts of categories and separations had sprung
forth...HE IS BIGGER THAN THAT and the REAL house of God doesn't
consist of these small miniscule divisions and distinctions we think are so
huge....unique - YES!!!!

but also to gather in ONE ACCORD...

Thank you Sherry and Denise, your kind responses are much welcomed!

I want to say that there has been good that came out of this for me. It has opened my eyes to the power and influence of seduction even in my own life.

For the many many people I know that have come under these "revivals" I have watched their lives deteriorate....good people who have such a genuine affection for our Father.

I have and continue to see the division and strife for those who pursued these sort of meetings. I have watched churches fall apart and marriages fail for those who have been saturated in these sort of meetings.

There is no doubt about the sincerity of those who are leaders in these movements. I have met a many of wonderful, caring, helpful and giving people. But then again Oprah, Bill Gates and Dr. Phill are also noted as being such people.

You spoke of unity, and I fully agree that we need to be in one accord. There is an absolute doctrine that has evaded us that binds hearts to His and amongst each other. But with everyone preaching this, writing that, interpreting this, revealing that...ect......we have a cesspool of man's understanding.....this gets confusing. There is but one God and we have hundreds of denominations......even most of non denominational churches are a denomination amongst themselves similiar to the charismatic circles.

I believe that we are in the drought of the living words of God as spoke of in His Word. I believe all is in His timing and that there is not much we can do to expedite His plan. Say we all spent ourselves to reach the "four corners" of the world with the Gospel....... does that mean that we have caused God to execute His end time plan or did we just happen to fit in with His timing?

As the nations are in a slump, the church is in a slump. Our enviroment is a series of all wrong answers. My faith is that God prevails, no matter what. How exactly I do not know, when, I do not know.

James - very tragic, very sad! it's a terrible tragedy the many false things
that have over the centuries sprung from a good thing that God has given
as a gift. My first encounter with the unrepented evil coming to full fruit
in the lives of men and women occurred in my life when I was literally
slapped full in the face with it in my mid teens....this was in a
conservative and VERY non-charismatic setting. Really ANTI
charismatic/pentecostal to be totally honest.

It devastated me inside. It rocked my world...and having recently reunited
with one of my teen friends..in her own words "that church was a literal
Peyton PLace"

was it because Christianity, the gospel of salvation were false?

of course some have assumed it was because of the fact that we were not
charismatic...and you bring this out here quite well..that's no safeguard
either. our demomination thought in order to keep pure and holy and
right we should stay far away from those horrid - well, pretty much
everything else but us.

that was NO insulation!

I know of individuals in a holiness type movement who were exposed to
be deeply in very very evil and cruel abusive perversions....

the blossoming and fruiting out of evil is not based upon affiliation (or
lack of it) - it is an outworking of what's within and not repented of....and
it indeed can and does happen to the most sincere - even as they are
under the belief they are being "holy"...and yes, a religious spirit may take
hold and deceive them...

as occurred during the inquisition and the witch trials..terrible evil in the
name of our good and loving God!!!!

many have thus believed that due to the evidence Christianity itself is
brutal, evil, false...these people (or at least some of them) were
undoubtably those things and had not repented...in certain parts the
evidence is overwhelming to that regard.

I would like to submit for consideration that these many moves of God
over many years and even centuries while laced with evil because there
was not total and pure hearted response to the KING - yet may have also
contained something of God.

there was some very shaky stuff that came about during the outpouring
in the 60's and 70's too...again some very bad things...

If we want to speak again of what came forth of Toronto then lets speak
again of someone sent from there to a country in Eastern Europe where
40 or 50 new churches were birthed as well as numerous already
established churches receiving great benefit by being friends of the
movement.

and lets speak of the couple sent from there who - because of the
miracles and conversions of the religious people in a certain country were
beaten badly and warned not to go back..who IMMEDIATELY desired to
return.

Lets speak then of those going into Asia and the massive amounts of
people being reached there...

And how about the little obscure church in a Northern country who had
been commissioned from Toronto - small..contained by locale..until a
number of displaced foreigners from a closed country came to their
community. And were reached to and honored..again real healing, real
miracles, real conversions...and then these were returned to their
homeland to begin numerous house churches in their region..

so all I am saying is..that yeah, humans who pursue MEN and OWN
AGENDAS and who perpetuate this and who do not advocate true
repentance and a real encounter with God...they have abounded - that
and not stepping into the fulness of what the real thing is after...yes it will
perpetuate these terrible and very avoidable tragedies.

but it's too easy to answer this by saying flat out "that's not from God"

and not dig deeper to the real cause....and again, as you said initially - it's
within our own hearts we must look.

I agree people have been led astray - most definitely. They have in all
settings. But in the end it's our own heart we need to look to.

and it's also lots easier to say it was NOT God and wasn't real at all...than
to think it actually WAS God who initiated a real thing and then have to
grasp that He allows us so much freedom that we can take His good gifts
and drag them through the mud....

and it's also that we do not want to blame God - so maybe we have too
readily said He was not a part of it at all....and it was never in no part
real.

It's like saying "why Jesus did You go to the cross, knowing that one day
people would march forth killing and destroying nations with the cross
proudly before them? - No it can not have been real, or else perhaps
Jesus is not a real God"

Very nicely said Denise and much , or rather most actually made me think and ponder deeply. Great wisdom and undersdtanding from Your experiences! (...and i say this in the deepest respect for what you offer that has always been of importance to me)

However, I knew that it would be said of the very FEW some that would come forth from these movemnets to do this, that or the other. Planting this church or that church, reaching this people or that people........

......reaching them for what?    to perpetuate the same 'ole stuff that doesn't work?

please understand that i want serious dialogue.....let no one take offense for my serious inquiery.

Thank you!

There James you are calling for that which all moves of God are truly
aimed at....that's the higher ground.

Nobody is ever saved into a church or a movement or into any "ism"
because then they are not saved. They have merely taken on a joining to a
group or a person and so forth. And real salvation - real life is not
vicarious. That vicarious living is full of death.

You are so right in your approach of saying we must look to God, and
come to God!

It used to be said weekly in my young years growing up..for weekly there
was a "call for salvation" this "You are not being invited to join a church,
you are being invited to meet Jesus Christ Himself" and we were well
taught the precept of this thinking. As it were - the line - that says we
are not going to merely indoctrinate you but we are asking you to make a
decision and have a transaction with God yourself. Most of this was in
reaction to correct the type of "catechism" activities many churches use.
However it's very truth that our Sunday School was little different from
their catechism..and so there was the very real possibility that people in
our setting might also not "really" be saved. Not "really" encounter Jesus.

And thinking they were Christians. While one branch will assume you're
Christian by learning and repeating a body of beliefs (a church member)
another may separate joining the church from the salvation
experience...and lots in between...those are all only men's attempts to
preserve and protect what is truly only to be between a person and God.

So one may declare "youre saved!!" once you've prayed a certain prayer
(but not a member of the church) and another may say that having been
baptised or dedicated as an infant and then confirming this at a particular
age...makes you both a member and a Christian...these are both men's
ways and outward.

and so, as in the instance you describe it's the same and has been, that
some may say and even think they are (believe they are) a member of
Christ's body...but really all they are doing is embracing a system. And it's
NOT about the system. ans so too, many others who have outwardly
walked one of these same paths have had a real and living encounter with
the real Christ and are not following a religion...but are very real
Christians.

We do need to take the higher ground (all of us) because otherwise we
will find ourselves mucked up in the mud of human endeavors...

Long years ago I realized that there are many many people who might be
found in any type of a - shall we call it - "Christian" setting who are not
really "in" the church. It could be a community group - as in our city has
a Christian singles group I checked out in the 70's - not all of these knew
Christ at all. Or in large churches, even in home meetings and
marketplace meetings, in Full Gospel Businessman's groups....in all
denom and non denom , registered and unregistered....they sit. They may
even be active. But they are "out of church" There's a huge harvest of
potential.

The greatest wrong we could do to these folks would be to - when the
question comes up - say "why of COURSE you are a Christian!! didn't you
pray that prayer? didnt you preach that sermon and 50 people received
Christ and all of them are now missionaries? don't i remember God
coming all over you and this or that happened?"

and so on....

James you are a good friend to me...and I hope I am hearing the heart of
what's being asked here...I do believe He has raised you to higher ground
but there's still higher ground He is calling us to...

I can't say I have arrived any more than you or anyone else has...however
there's a coming to that needs to be JESUS and a receiving of others the
treasure God's placed, the substance God's placed but in full awareness
no human has the whole picture. And in some parts they could be
wrong...can we still receive the gift of God in and through them and look
to Him alone on the rest? (some call it spitting out the bones)
