THE FREE MARKET - TRUST AND TRANS-ACTION
I was shown the market place.
I saw that in order for the market to function it has to be based upon trust.
This was described to me in this way:
A transaction of money is based upon the deepest interior principals, the principals of trust. When I give my money in order to receive something from someone else – a product, a service; this affects the core of trust, the core principals of trans-action. I have trust-respect enough in the person whom I desire to have a transaction with.
Trans-action is the freedom to initiate a cooperative action.
Transaction: “a communicative action or activity involving two parties or things that reciprocally affect or influence each other.”
The freedom of a cooperative action is trust.
The strength of cooperative action is manifested in the common man.
Cynicism is as the opposite of trust - instead of freedom there are roadblocks to cooperative action.
Freedom is based upon the empowering of trans-actions between people.
Cynicism is sweeping the land.
When cynicism overwhelms trust, the common mans ability for communicative action is immobilized.
---------------------------------------------------
Because transaction operates by trust – the fruitful exchange has an inherent mutual benefit.
Greed is the perversion of transaction. Greed undermines mutual benefit.
Cynicism refuses to see the good in mutual benefit.
Greed creates cynicism.
When transaction itself is perverted, the “common man” fails to see the common good – he becomes cynical
and can be controlled by those who would appeal
to his greed.
