"ON THE EDGE OF THE PRECIPICE" – 2010
A Prophetic Perspective

By Mary Lindow through the Holy Spirit

It seems that with such prolific access to myriads of documents, writings,
and
articles, that attempting to communicate spiritual metaphors and insights
received from the heart of God to be shared and hopefully to soften the
hearts
of men, has perhaps been reduced to quick sound bites, high impact
statements, and what I would term "Scripture bites".

SO WHAT IS A PRECIPICE?

As I have searched this out knowing that the Lord was communicating
something to me regarding this up-and-coming year, a few small and
still
words of instruction, potential, and warning have begun to emerge.
And so. The word precipice

Precipice - a noun

“A very steep rock face or Cliff, typically a tall one”

Figurative Example – “The country is teetering on the precipice of political
anarchy”

The origin of the word comes from the late 16th century denoting a
headlong fall.

In the Latin it means abrupt descent.

This word in a nutshell expresses an anguishing anticipation of what
could be a
devastating and shocking “out of control” spin into oblivion, tumbling
headlong
into an unknown space, fully out of control, not knowing when the
descent will
end, and if anything will remain once it hits the pull of gravity.

“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
(Off of a precipice)!
Proverbs 16:18

SHAKEN AND STIRRED

The Holy Spirit impressed me the week prior to Christmas of 2009 with
this
statement.
Shaken AND Stirred.

My mind said, "You Mean, shaken not stirred!"
Again a little while later the same statement was impressed into my spirit
man
again.
Shaken AND stirred!

As I pondered this and then began to realize that the Holy Spirit wanted
to
impart insights prophetically, combined as well with the word of God,
regarding what His role in working within the hearts of believers looks
like at
this juncture in time.

We have heard much about the slumbering, sleepy bride. A somewhat
overgrown, youthful, well-fed bride. Oh! How she LOVES the candlelight,
the
romantic spirituality that feeds the soul and emotional longings of one
yet to
experience the commitment to a marriage! Everything has the beauty and
sparkle of a fairyland or Disney type of fantasy and fireworks!

Surrounding this young maiden are gifts and beautiful tangible items
reminding her of this youthful celebration of a pledge. The pledge to
honor the
one she loves. The gifts that have been given come from those who know
that
these will be needed to assist them in their life of growing together
towards
becoming one heart, one flesh, a single expression of their own family
unit.

There are similar parallels to be fearlessly looked at regarding where and
how
the corporate bride of Christ has behaved on many levels. There has been
a
new term or word phrase created to address what would often be called a
petulant, whiny, overindulged young woman who is in preparation for the
big
blowout wedding day event.

The name for this is "Bridezilla”!

The basic picture is until she gets what she wants the way she wants it
when
she wants it, anything or anyone in her way gets demolished if it does not
satisfy her need to be fully noticed and celebrated in all of her self-
planned and
applied concepts as to what a wedding should look like.

The problem is, in real life - the wedding and festivities are only a brief
glimpse
of what an actual joining of two in marriage looks like for the long haul.

And so when the party is over and the hard work begins, (and yes it's
hard work),
the little rifts and storm clouds come to buffet and shape the couple into
maturity.

But if the bride does not want to mature, and desires to be treated like a
young
princess, much like the central character in a children's story, "The
Princess
and the Pea" then no matter how others attempt to cajole or ease her
discomfort, eventually she becomes demanding and unsatisfied
regardless of
what is offered to her.

And so the current state of the bride of Christ in it’s majority is one of a
moody,
discomforted and unfulfilled mate, waiting for her bridegroom to do for
her the
things that she would rather not do for herself, and bring her the
comforts that
she needs without having to labor herself.

There are although - those who have paid a devastating and costly price
to shake off slumber and self indulgence, and have stepped out as
pathfinders, and
herald loudly the warning about remaining a child and not maturing to
the
fullness of God's plan.

SHAKEN….

Imagine the shock, the total disbelief of the five virgins (Matthew 25) who
slumbered and gambled with their futures so flippantly when in their
drowsy
and moody state, missed the sound that the bridegroom announced,
calling
them to come, to travel the road now well lit, to a prepared place.

They were shaken! Shaken to the core and in total disbelief that things
had
changed and been shaken in their existence so quickly!

They were warned to be ready, but figured just as always they would
somehow
be able to manipulate their surroundings and discomforts and find a way
to get
their way!

So has it been in the body of Christ the past few years, even though the
voice of
"The Beloved" has warned and shouted out. He has sent prophetic voice
after
prophetic voice, teacher after teacher, evangelist after evangelist with a
reoccurring message,

"You prepare the way!
You make the crooked ways straight!
Build up a pathway that you may walk upon to a holy place!

And it will be said:
"Build up, build up, prepare the road!
Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."
Isaiah 57:14

And yet, the bride went on her merry way expecting to be rescued from
her
slumber and folly.

AND BECAUSE OF GOD'S MERCY SHE WILL CONTINUE TO BE SHAKEN

And, shaken and shaken until she awakes from her slumber and selfish
ambition, to arise and become the mature one who walks with her
Beloved as
her Leader and Lord, not as simply a provider of pleasures, fleshly
sustenance,
and entertainment.

“See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape
when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will
we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?

AT THAT TIME HIS VOICE SHOOK THE EARTH, but now he has promised,
"Once more I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH BUT ALSO THE
HEAVENS."

The words "once more" indicate THE REMOVING OF WHAT CAN BE
SHAKEN

That is, created things—SO THAT WHAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN MAY
REMAIN.
Hebrews 12: 25-27

… AND STIRRED

Indeed, when one is shaken awake from a deep sleep, the adrenaline
begins to
pump throughout the body and there is a keen and heightened alertness
that
begins to stir the senses.

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a
sound mind.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His
prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to
the
power of God.”
2 Timothy 1:6-8

HAVE YOU BEEN ASHAMED?

Ashamed of what? Ashamed of those who seemingly appear to have had
to
endure and persevere through hardship upon hardship?
Puzzled, discombobulated, somewhat befuddled that they continue to be
battered and embattled as they deeply walk out and often grind out the
course set before
them?

Sadly. Many have become tired of the “Life of Job” some of their fellow
brothers and sisters had had to painfully live out in full 3D view of all. In
the
wickedness of their own arrogance, they have become suspicious, critical
and
have held judgment over these who are battling the storms of life.

This is a residing of evil in the soul of anyone who dare judge the
condition of
another who is in a season of loss, travail, or transition. The Presence of
God
will not visit this wicked type of soul with much peace and the exception
will
be with a hammer of conviction and a fiery warning!

“Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret,
Him will I put to silence;
Whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart,
Him will I not endure!”
Psalm 101:5

Imagine Timothy having to be asked if he is ashamed of his brother for
having
to go through the sufferings and difficulties in becoming a prisoner of
the Lord.
Paul states that he's suffering because of the Gospel and according to the
power
of God!

“These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which
perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may
result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
1 Peter 1:7

A YEAR OF GOD EXPOSING HYPOCRISY …
…IN THOSE WHO JUDGE FELLOW BELIEVERS

It's no secret that the mainstream media has had a heyday with high
profile
personalities who have made claims to be devout Christians and then find
them
caught in the acts of extortion, embezzlement, infidelity, tax evasion, and
justification of personal indulgence at the expense of trusting donors.

Those who have given in order to meet “Social status requirements” or
according to those who perform well for them as "spiritual pick me ups",
will also
find themselves equally miserable and void of the blessing of God, for
they have
already received their reward from men.

Deeper and deeper still will the exposing and dissecting sword of the
Word of
God separate what is of the flesh claiming to be God, and what is of the
Spirit
that is of God.

The folly and arrogance of those who minister with an elitist message will
be
brought to such public humiliation that even the hardest atheistic hearts
will
cringe at the ruthless mocking they will face.

As the Lord continues to shake out and stir up the dross in the life of
each
believer there will be a corresponding stirring again to deep repentance.
Believers will come out of their groggy existence and begin to allow the
deep
purging and removal of fleshy perceptions about whom God has blessed
and
whom God might use for his glory, and for His purposes.

DEEPER AND YET DEEPER STILL

It will be a year like none other.
The setting forth of a new and fresh openness to God's supreme
directions.
A shaking off of youthful folly and petty “scrapping” over who imparts the
greatest message or anointing.

Instead of well planned out speaking rosters for heavily and slickly
advertised
conference invitations, there will continue to be spontaneous and Divinely
orchestrated gatherings throughout all nations.

It has already begun in several unannounced convocations.

It is being lit and ignited by the very hand of a Sovereign and brilliantly
strategic God.

Gatherings large and small, in halls, homes, and barns, have become a
focus of
God's heart. He indeed has an agenda. It is to call the bride, His beloved,
the one
He lavishly spent all of his life's blood upon, to rise up from her slumber
and be
shaken and stirred to see that He is beckoning her deeper and yet deeper
still
to enter into a place of profound grace, mercy, and safety.

As the cry of repentance from dead works, and foolish masterminding of
plans
and programs that only led the bride into morbid obesity, is stirred in the
hearts
of those ailing and sickened by the results of such overindulgence, deeper
and
deeper still will the Spirit of God draw his people into a communion of
body,
spirit, and soul, with his plan and purpose.

Those that wait upon the Lord in their gatherings, in their brokenness, in
their
humility, will begin to experience a hush of holiness falling upon their
gatherings. The hovering presence of the pleasure of God will invade and
permeate the hearts of those who have come simply to fellowship in the
power
of His word and the presence of His Holiness.

COMING SOON: THE WAITING FOR - THE WEIGHT OF HIS GLORY

This is not to be confused with what has been termed “The Anointing” or
“The
Holy Spirit Falling Upon God’s People.”

Not a whisper, not a sound, not a song, nor a shout will be needed.

I have been in meetings the past year, while on ministry assignments or
as an
attendee where believers who chose to enter into repentance and allowed
the
“Dross work” of God to have full access to every
corner of their souls, where without warning or fanfare, weightiness
invaded
the room, the conference, or the meeting halls.

It was as if a drenching tangible mass of warmth and comfort wrapped
itself
around every human being present.
It mattered not whether they were youthful or stooped over in
the aging of their bodies.

The weight of the very glory and magnificence of the Supreme Being,
The Sovereign One was unmistakable.

Complicit stillness and sweetness flowed into and out of every soul
present. All
who were sitting or standing in this weight of glory did not need anyone
to tell
them the phenomenon that transcended man's orchestration was
happening.

It did not last 5 minutes, 10 minutes, for 15 minutes. It came in waves
and
beckoned with the mercy fragrance that only The Still Small Voice can
infuse a
room with.

It seems that the more willing the hearts of those in these gatherings who
would simply sit in the weight of this glorious silence, the richer and
deeper the
peace became.

And then again, the Sweet song of the Lord would begin to sing out over
the people and the people would begin to sing out the sweet song of
repentance and
devotion unto the Lord. It transcended ethnic backgrounds, national or
international expressions, and human languages.

Deeper and yet deeper still His presence, His glory, His weightiness would
hover.

In one such meeting the waiting in His glory, in His presence, waiting
upon
Him, lasted for 45 minutes. No one wanted to leave, and no one had any
agenda.

“Be still!” the Lord said.

“Be still and know.”

“That I am God!”

2010 HEART WRENCHING REPENTANCE -- SEASON OF REFRESHING

“Repent, then,
And turn to God,
So that your sins may be wiped out,
That times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
Acts 3:19

WHAT BEGAN IN 2009 IS OVERLAPPING INTO 2010

There have been voices in the body of Christ crying out that she must
repent for
her sluggishness, smugness, and presumption. These voices will be
amplified
and multiplied throughout the year 2010.

There will be required by the Lord, a setting apart in the heart of every
believer.

The call to separate the coarse and dry husks of chaff, suffocating the
grain of
their lives, which was meant to be made into the bread of life so that
others may
taste of true and sweet communion with the living God.

Deeper and deeper still will the call to shake off slumber, to once and for
all lay
down the sins and arrogance that so the easily traps and ensnares the life
of the
bride.

The life of each believer will be tested and the dross, the presumption,
and
entitlement will be refined away in the lives of those who count
themselves as
servants of Christ, not simply fans of Christ.

THE GREATER THE SURRENDER-THE GREATER THE INCREASE OF HIS
GLORY

As each member of the body of Christ willingly steps in to the full scan of
the
Holy Spirit's convicting radiance, a fresh awakening of the empowering
courage
and strength of Christ as the glorious bridegroom will be brought to the
forefront.

He will be the central focus and no longer will the bride lag behind in
adolescent drudgery and laziness.

Wave upon wave of adoration will be lifted up as a love sacrifice to the
Beloved
One. And the weight of His glory will shake and rock religious agendas
until
they crumble and strip off the need for the noise and glitter that has
cluttered
and stifled the rightful honor due unto the King of glory.

When with deliberate consideration, the weight of God’s glory is given full
access to flow as it begins to invade and permeate, be prepared for
unbelievers
who may be simply walking by a home gathering, a fellowship service, or
a
conference, to be drawn into your gatherings as if wooed or summoned
by a
fragrance or sound that they have had move them to go and seek out
where it
was coming from. The Lord shall draw them and show them of His might,
His
presence, and you shall lead them to Him…

… And they shall find salvation.

LAST INSIGHT AND WARNING

Many are indeed standing upon a precipice, not knowing where to turn or
what
to do, and will fall headlong into further disaster if they do not awaken
from the
hardness of heart and spiritual presumption that have become
companions and
corrupt habits.

Today you have heard His heart; you have heard His voice,
Harden not your heart, and instead quickly heed His voice.

Allow the shaking; willingly permit any condescension, elitism, control,
manipulation, cowardly blame shifting, hateful speech, competition,
anger, and
vengeful and revengeful thoughts, to be once and for all purged out of
your
soul!

Your very spiritual life depends on what you do when on the edge of a
precipice!

Jump headlong into folly,

Or

Fall into the hands of the living breathing God.

“Take care, brethren,
That there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart
That falls away (headlong off of a precipice) from the living God.”
Hebrews 3:12

Wow! What an incredible word! This is what we've been hungry for--the presence of God coming in weight upon us without any manipulations or enticements on our part for Him to come upon us. What an encouraging word for what 2010 will bring into our lives--true authencity in God.

Mary's description of the Church as Bridezilla is pretty accurately described. Time for us to grow up into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, which will enable us to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth where we live.

The political upheaval that is brewing is becoming more and more intense as our representatives in DC ignore their servanthood mandate as they become more and more arrogant in their power. I think it is really important for those of us that listen to talk radio and endeavor to stay up-to-speed with national and international news. We must guard our hearts and keep them from getting ugly, critical and judgmental. Although many conservatives speak truth, quite often their hearts are very hard and their mouths speak slander (defined as speaking truth with ill intent).  God is watching how we carry our hearts in the political debate. We should definitely know the times we live in but we should have dove-like hearts showing forth mercy and compassion. As the political turmoil rolls into revolt against corrupt leadership, our safety will be under the wing of the Lover of our souls. We must not be verbal bomb throwers privately or publicly.

Wow! I am STUNNED! This pulls together many pieces of what the Lord
Himself has been bringing to my own heart, mind and life in this season!

This is SO right on. And it so contains specific elements...I hadn't
considered the "Princess and the Pea" for a great many years!! YET on Jan
4 I was reminded of her. At the risk of bringing in too much "personal"
sharing I will quote what I wrote that day to someone:

"I contrasted this to what I once heard a lady preacher say many years
ago..and she was saying how she is very sensitive and tender in spirit and
because of that needed and required a peaceful place and only could have
people around her who were of a certain quality and even the slightest
disturbed-ness of spirit around her and in her vicinity..well, she sounded
a bit like the princess and the pea in comparison..."

amazing to me always, how the Spirit flows...so very specific...in so many
points.

And recently came across a 60's vintage video that at that time addressed
the slumbering church and featured one of the voices sent to stir her...

The Lord is SO worthy! He is SO worthy! We must lay it all, and ourselves
too, at His feet. Not to be taken up again by us, as a little toddler might
often "give" something only to take it back seconds later. As precious as
that is...it is "baby stuff". No the maturity of true engagement and moving
into being a genuine bride...laying it gladly, willingly unto Him NEVER to
take it back of our own accord. The exchange...absolutely priceless in
comparison to the "offering" laid at His feet! He is worthy!

Truly a time of sifting, separating and seeking The Lord whilst He may be found.  5 wise, 5 foolish.... time to have extra oil in our lamps because we don't know the time or the hour when He is coming for His bride, no time to be doing our own thing, time to be seeking to do the will of the Father for His Glory.  Very frightening, exciting times ahead.  The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom indeed, I pray that we will be found wise and ready to enter with Him.   Thank you for your Word Mary.  God bless!

Mary, this word is a great encouragement and confirmation for me!  So I will now jump off the cliff into my Father's arms!  Blessings to you in our Lord's name.

Good post! A bit long... but it excercise one's focus so that one should go back through your post to glean wisdom from the words.

About "precipice", good point.  That is a good description of where the 'world' is currently at.  I have seen believers bemoan the "Words" that declare 'disaster' is imminent; while, other believers declare that great revival and restoration is imminent.  Few realize that BOTH are in store... especially for America.

The reality for many Americans - and America - is that a shaking and a stirring are needed before true restoration and revival can come.

9/11 was an example of that.  A wave of PATRIOTISM swept the country, after September 11, 2001, that had not been seen since the Victory over Germany and Japan.  That wave lasted about as long as it took for Corporate America realized that money could be made off of the fresh spirit of patriotism sweeping the country.  The wave started to die down once corporate America became involved.

There is something coming.  Something that will send America over the precipice.  Something that will shake and stir.  For those who are ready, for those who are prepared.. the Voice of the Lion will roar and the Darkness shall flee!

For those who look at the storms of life, who focus on that which is not Christ - the voice of the dragon will scream... and terror shall strike the hearts and minds of millions across the country... and yes, many shall die.

Doesn't sound like one of those prophets seeking profit does it?

The precipice wil become more evident in 2010.  For the people.  and, for the church.

As the shaking and the stirring occur... decisions must be made.

Choose we this day whom we shall serve... and glory shall follow for those who choose wisely...

Destruction shall follow for those who do not.

Having said that, I would say... prpare ye the way for the coming of the Lord, for His coming draws nigh...

I see confirmation in this and in other recent posts. In many of the posts  over the past several days, people have quoted scriptures that I have been given. Not long ago I saw myself standing on a cliff and I knew that I had to jump. It wasn't a fearful thing because I knew that my Father would catch me. Back in Sept. 09, the Lord put Isaiah 62:10 into my mind one morning...Go through, go through the gates, prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. About three weeks later I had a dream that helped me understand that verse better. And since that time it has further unfolded. I am hungry and thirsty for the Lord. I am listening, waiting, and watching for His leading. Jan 3rd I was sleeping and I heard "Awake, or Arise, and the King of Glory will come in." Last night in  my sleep I remember someone mentioning Daniel 9. The whole point to this is that I can see that God is speaking similar, if not the same things to many different people! It is Awesome! Glory be to God! May we have ears to hear and eyes to see, may our understanding be opened, so that we can do what He shows us to do.

In His Love,
Katie

Katie,

MANY others are writing about Isaiah 62:10 these past few weeks.

Amen. May the Bride lift up a standard, and model humility, tenacity, and
perseverance as she presses into maturity!!

Many blessings be poured out upon you in 2010.

WOWOWOW!!

On Wednesday Dec. 30 while at church during worship I had a vision and it looked similar to the picture up there in the beginning of Mary's post. But everywhere around looked like a snapshot from Antartica- instead of the land like the one in the pic, it looked like white icy glacier rocks (i hope that makes sense!) I was standing on the edge, (just like the person in the pic) And Jesus was on the bigger part of the ice facing me a few feet away and He said ever so gently, "Come" <<<vision end>>>

I had purposedly not read any words or articles on 2010 but Jan 1, I was BLOWN away...and its only the 10th day and Im still astounded. We are so blessed to be apart of what God is doing...indeed His Bride has awaken.

Sisterly,

Another precious child of God has written to me to share her insights that
parallel with this word. A true blessing!!

Mary

"I am shocked and amazed, as I read the words that the Lord would
speak through you today. ALL of what you speak of in this writing I can
witness to. ALL of what He has to say, I have heard , dreamed journaled
and recorded, received through a myriad of dreams visions and
writings,as well, from Him. I just want to share with you in the
confirmation and encouragement I am recieving from this. Bless you.....
as well this Christmas season I heard shaking and stirring as documented,
as well as the candlelight fairytale theme the Lord speaks of. Your
writings are so similar to what He has me write that is makes me
smile..... and feel a wonderment and sense of assurance from the Lord."
thank you!

In Response to the current events in Haiti- and those who have commented in the media regarding the judgement of God.

The following is a section of the prophetic insights the heavenly Father shared in the above "2010" posting.

I felt that this needed to be shared again  in part, due to current events.

A YEAR OF GOD EXPOSING HYPOCRISY …
…IN THOSE WHO JUDGE FELLOW BELIEVERS

It's no secret that the mainstream media has had a heyday with high profile
personalities who have made claims to be devout Christians and then find them
caught in the acts of extortion, embezzlement, infidelity, tax evasion, and
justification of personal indulgence at the expense of trusting donors.

Those who have given in order to meet “Social status requirements” or
according to those who perform well for them as "spiritual pick me ups", will also
find themselves equally miserable and void of the blessing of God, for they have
already received their reward from men.

Deeper and deeper still will the exposing and dissecting sword of the Word of
God separate what is of the flesh claiming to be God, and what is of the Spirit
that is of God.

The folly and arrogance of those who minister with an elitist message will be
brought to such public humiliation that even the hardest atheistic hearts will
cringe at the ruthless mocking they will face.

As the Lord continues to shake out and stir up the dross in the life of each
believer there will be a corresponding stirring again to deep repentance.
Believers will come out of their groggy existence and begin to allow the deep
purging and removal of fleshy perceptions about whom God has blessed and
whom God might use for his glory, and for His purposes.

DEEPER AND YET DEEPER STILL

It will be a year like none other.
The setting forth of a new and fresh openness to God's supreme directions.
A shaking off of youthful folly and petty “scrapping” over who imparts the
greatest message or anointing.

Instead of well planned out speaking rosters for heavily and slickly advertised
conference invitations, there will continue to be spontaneous and Divinely
orchestrated gatherings throughout all nations.

It has already begun in several unannounced convocations.

It is being lit and ignited by the very hand of a Sovereign and brilliantly
strategic God.

Gatherings large and small, in halls, homes, and barns, have become a focus of
God's heart. He indeed has an agenda. It is to call the bride, His beloved, the one
He lavishly spent all of his life's blood upon, to rise up from her slumber and be
shaken and stirred to see that He is beckoning her deeper and yet deeper still
to enter into a place of profound grace, mercy, and safety.

Dear Mary:

This is such a powerful word. We have/are planting a church in a very
small community. We are currently meeting in our home. God is doing
such a surgical work in our hearts. At times it seems overwhelming.
People's lives are devastated, needing to know that God's Word is true in
their lives, that His love is towards them. It is a time to demonstrate, not
just talk.

I have said for some time that I didn't want to be the bride, but move on
into the covenant relationship and work along side my Savior. Thank you
for allowing the Lord to use you in such a wonderful expression of Him.

Blessings, Patty Palmer

just a couple thots arising here.

if it is thought that the Haiti disaster is a call for proclamations of
judgement then let us first look beyond the immediate and deeper still
into the heart of God. the more FULL counsel of God. then it might be
seen -- what a tragedy and devastation to HIS heart in the case that
some of these have passed on to death not having HEARD of Him and not
having KNOWN Him. then, putting this in the place of the MOST beloved
person or people in one's life, knowing that HE loves realms beyond that
each of these people. then who have we sent, and whom of us have gone
to these people with the gospel of the kingdom? if not, why not? I am not
stating this as a guilt trip to call judgement upon those who failed to
reach these BEFORE the disaster but rather to point to the futility of such
cries for judgement and how far they are from God's revealed heart and
mind.

Insofar as laying it all down and allowing Him to break off, blast off, strip
and to go with His sword deep into surrendered lives..who are willing to
lay it ALL before Him, not taking it back into their own hands..oh, this is
SO the season upon us. It is a season of fear and trembling - but also a
season He is saying "fear not!" and yet a deeper fuller season of seeing
the miracle of what He would make of us, with eternal purpose and
import. And not to be considered on equal footing is the temporal. Just
all surrendered and laid before Him - for Him to shape, mold and
consume as He desires...and this with fear and trembling. BUT on the
other hand we also need not be afraid of evil coming from this. We need
not fear evil at His hand. And we can look expectantly unto Him,
hopefully. (that is, full of hope)

was thinking of some lyrics from an old old song most here probably have
never heard before "something beautiful, something good, all my
confusion, HE understood. All I had to offer Him was brokenness and
strife, and He made something beautiful of my life"

He is SO worthy of this sacrifice! Conversely - it's not worth clinging to.

Denise,

Your words of comment are filled with the evidence of personal anguish,
heartbreak, loss, and longing as well.

Those who have a contrite heart, the Lord will never ever deny.

And so, He IS making something beautiful of your life!! ( I see it! )

In Him,
Mary

Wife of televangelist Benny Hinn files for divorce

By GILLIAN FLACCUS

The Associated Press

ORANGE

The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in Southern
California.

Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County Superior Court on Feb. 1,
citing irreconcilable differences, after more than 30 years of marriage.
The papers note the two separated on Jan. 26 and that Hinn has been
living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange
County.

"Pastor Benny Hinn and his immediate family were shocked and saddened
to learn of this news without any previous notice," Benny Hinn Ministries
said Thursday in a statement. "Although Pastor Hinn has faithfully
endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed and
were met with the petition for divorce that was filed without notice."

Hinn is one of the best known advocates of the prosperity gospel, which
teaches that Christians who are right with God will be rewarded with
wealth and health in this lifetime.

His TV broadcasts on the Trinity Broadcast Network, a Pentecostal
broadcasting juggernaut, and other TV networks are seen by millions of
people around the world nearly every day. He travels the globe in his
ministry's plane, named Dove One, holding events he calls "Miracle
Crusades" that include spiritual healings.

Hinn has never fully publicly disclosed how he spends the money he
raises, but his vast ministry is believed to be a multimillion-dollar
operation. There was no mention of finances in the court filing, which
listed three recent Southern California addresses for the family.

Over the years, Hinn has been the target of intense criticism from fellow
Christians and watchdog groups who call his teachings false and accuse
him of raising money only to enrich himself.

He is one of six televangelists under investigation by Sen. Charles
Grassley, the Iowa Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, over
whether he complied with IRS rules for nonprofits. Hinn has said on his
Web site that external auditors ensure his compliance with IRS
regulations and that in 2008, 88 percent of the money he collected was
spent on ministry.

Benny Hinn Ministries is based in Grapevine, Texas, and operates a church
and television studio in Aliso Viejo in California's Orange County,
according to its Web site.

Sorrell Trope, the attorney representing Suzanne Hinn, did not
immediately return a call for comment. A woman at his office said the
firm does not comment on divorce filings without the client's approval.

J. Lee Grady, contributing editor of Charisma, a news magazine on the
Pentecostal community, said Hinn's divorce is the latest in a string of
high-profile ministry divorces and moral failures among the Pentecostal
leaders, beginning with Ted Haggard's fall from grace in 2006.

Haggard, who is married and has five children, admitted to receiving a
massage from a male prostitute and buying drugs from him, but denied
allegations he paid the man for sex.

Grady said in an e-mail Thursday that Hinn's followers will want an
explanation for the divorce because of the high profile the couple had.

"It will be devastating to the people who have supported Benny Hinn's
evangelistic work around the world," Grady said.

"Obviously because their ministry has been very public, they will need to
issue a statement to their supporters to explain how this happened," he
said.
