“The Spirit of Travail” is a sermon by Leonard Ravenhill. It is an hour in length.

Turn everything off…and listen. It has stopped me in my tracks this morning.

What is it that we truly desire in our heart of hearts with God? Do we really want Him to transform us into the image of Christ? Oh that we mature in Christ.

Romans 8:17 “and if children, then heirs -heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.“

Galatians 3:10 “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”

Oh, that we would repent in sackcloth and ashes....God, Have Your Way in me that this vessel would glorify You and Your Kingdom Glory and Purpose shine through me this day....Lord, Do whatever it takes to take me wherever you want to take me.  Take me to The Cross of Christ that I might arise to thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

I pray you are blessed.

Love always,

Crista

Crista,

This is a message we all need to hear. Without the love of God we are truly just a sounding brass. The only way that we as a church can ever become all that the Lord is, is through relationship with him. When we put away our plans and seek after his for our lives, then and only then will we become effective in a meaningful way. What we have been is not what he wants us to be. Now is the time to seek the Lord with all of our heart and to let him remove from our lives all that is not of him. That is my desire and hope that it is all of those who are a part of this forum. We have to come to know his love before we can share it with others. We have to be able to hear as he hears, feel as he feels, see as he sees, understand as he understands, and act as he would act in every situation. Now is the time to draw close to him as Mary did and poor out our souls at his feet and let him change us into what he has created us to be and that is to bring glory to him.

God bless you,

Thank-you, John for your kind and heartfelt reply...and may I add...that after we sit at His feet that we go...For how will they know unless they hear and experience...As St. Francis of Assisi stated, "Wherever you go, preach the Gospel, and if necessary, use words."....May we truly be His hands, His feet, His mouth, His arms, His very self...and I believe that happens in our own personal Lazarus tombs...and Garden of Gethsemane....at the Cross.

Blessings always,

Crista
