God wants us to start seeking Him about the root cause of problems rather than just addressing the branches. There is a reason that there is drought and starvation in a given country. Instead of only feeding the hungry, which is a good thing, we should feed the hungry AND pray that the root cause of the problem CAUSING the drought is changed, so they can grow crops and be free of starvation. He will reveal the root cause if we ask - it may not even be spiritual. We may need to pray in a permanent change in weather patterns in a region, for example. Getting to the root cause does the people who live there a MUCH greater service. We need to stop addressing problems as men address problems. We need to address them as sons of God.
