Psalm 27
1:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
1:5 For in the day of trouble, He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
1:13 What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living!
1:14 Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and eduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord
The Message
1:4 I'm asking God for one thing, only one thing; To live with him in his house my whole life long. I'll contemplate his beauty; I'll study at his feet.
1:5 That' the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, The perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic.
1:13 I'm sure now I'll see God's goodness in the exhuberant earth.
1:14 Stay with God! Take heart. Don't quit. I'll say it again: Stay with God.
