Last weekend I had a vision of a storm coming up over the horizon. The clouds were black and lightening stuck the ground, one flash followed quickly by another and then another. It was a storm like none I had ever experienced.
Then the Lord brought to my remembrance the parable of the foolish builder...
Matt 724 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
...and the Lord said to me that this was also an end time prophetic word. That in these last days we shall be battered by a fierce storm and only those who have built on the Rock of Jesus' words will stand firm.
I then re-read the beatitudes in the context of them being an end-time prophesy and it was a fresh revelation to familiar passages. That Gods people needed to be salt and light bringing hope. That they would need great wisdom to discern what is of God. That there would be false prophets. That the world would be worrying about getting essentials when God would provide for the needs of his children.
I hope this blesses you that God is with us in the storm and we are to be a refuge to others with the good news of Christ.
