Last weekend I had a vision of a storm coming up over the horizon. The clouds were black and lightening stuck the ground, one flash followed quickly by another and then another. It was a storm like none I had ever experienced.

Then the Lord brought to my remembrance the parable of the foolish builder...

Matt 7²⁴ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. ²⁶ But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. ²⁷ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

...and the Lord said to me that this was also an end time prophetic word. That in these last days we shall be battered by a fierce storm and only those who have built on the Rock of Jesus' words will stand firm.

I then re-read the beatitudes in the context of them being an end-time prophesy and it was a fresh revelation to familiar passages. That Gods people needed to be salt and light bringing hope. That they would need great wisdom to discern what is of God. That there would be false prophets. That the world would be worrying about getting essentials when God would provide for the needs of his children.

I hope this blesses you that God is with us in the storm and we are to be a refuge to others with the good news of Christ.

Hey Eddie, this reminds me of a vision I had whilst praying during the summer...where the Father showed me really heavy black storm clouds over the earth....and then suddenly a huricane appeared that reached up from the earth, right into the clouds...but it was full of light...full of Gods glory.  And the Father showed me that in the end times the church will rise up in fullness and that there would be power encounters with enemy...

That's a good word for all to hear. If our reliance is not in Jesus then we will be most miserable in the days ahead.

Standing up to a storm was a theme of a word I shared on here a few weeks ago, several themes overlap.

"...This is the hour when I shall arise and cut down the trees, that have mans mark upon it. This is the day of deliverance for those who choose me. I speak life upon my body for those washed by the blood, the churning of the sea will not push you around for the rock is standing firm and you can face the winds and waves and stand in Heaven’s armour."

Proverbs 24 v3-5

      ³ Through wisdom a house is built,
      And by understanding it is established;
       ⁴ By knowledge the rooms are filled
      With all precious and pleasant riches.
       ⁵ A wise man is strong,
      Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;
