Spirit of offense

Yesterday, July 16th 2012 while in a prayer meeting, I
saw a vision of an angel throwing a dark spirit to the
earth .
I inquired the Lord and said " Father, what is this?"
I heard " It is the offense spirit"
I said " Father, why you didn't stop it from going to the
earth?"
I heard the Lord saying " It has been send to help
thickening my people skin, so they will be strong. It is
to train them how to WALK IN LOVE to defeat this spirit
and keep the unity of the brethren in my body".

Food for your spirit
My precious one, although you are not from this world,
you are still living in it. Satan is still on the world
and he came to steal, kill and destroy and you have not
been ignorant to all of his deeds. I didn't leave you as
orphans but I gave you my holy spirit, the comforter, the
counselor and the one who will remind you with all what I
told you. You have my written word with you and my spoken
words through my prophets! Be strong in fighting your
battles and don't allow the enemy of your souls to bring
division in your midst by breathing offense between you.
Hold on to me and my teaching and make it your highest
priority to walk in Love no matter what and remember to
always keep your love from growing cold by abiding in me.


Whoever forgives an offense seeks love, but whoever keeps
bringing up the issue separates the closest of friends..

Matthew 18:15-17

“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his
fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you,
you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen,
take one or two others along with you, that every charge
may be established by the evidence of two or three
witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to
the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the
church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax
collector.

Praise the Lord!  Ty, my precious Sister,,,  He is faithful to instruct us everyday and every way!!!I've taken my stand against holding any offense of any kind...  I decree I am quick to forgive: therefore not letting any root of bitterness take root and grow,,,no, no, none in me! I hold no grudges and take no offense when the enemy comes trying to steal my faith,,,Holy Spirit showed me most really dont know what they are doing when they come against me,,,ALL offenses bounce off me and back onto them...it is in the Word="a man will reap what he sows( and quickly in this instance)"...and my response is always, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." This releases me to minister God's love, His will being done...\o/ Some receive His love and some dont...not my call-I just let Holy Spirit orchestrate any further contact with folks... I walk off knowing He can "crack any nut"! He cracked this hard one-lol-HE REALLY DID!  YEAH GOD!!!  TY JESUS!!!   Love you ALL

This is interesting as I was talking to a friend of mine about the spirit of
offense last week.

Half of my life has been spent having to deal with people and their
offended feelings. People are offended by so many things and they're
even offended when you try to offer comfort because you "weren't there"
or "you don't know how I feel" cause you're not them. I grew up hearing
"It's ok, I know how you feel." being offered as a comfort to let you know
that the other person could relate and that you weren't alone in the mess
of life. Now you can't say that anymore. Also having to preface
EVERYTHING with "I don't want to offend anyone..." before you give your
opinion on ANYTHING. Also having to apologize for what you've said after
you've said it just to cover all bases in case anyone was offended by what
you said as everyone's so quick to jump on the emotional offended
bandwagon. This also leads to no absolutes as absolutes can offend
people and we all have to be all inclusive. The enemy also thrives on no
absolutes as "anything goes".

I was telling my friend that as Christians a way to combat the whole
offense/offended issue is that we need to call a spade a spade. People use
the "that offends me" card to silence anyone who says something they do
not like. And because no one wants to offend anyone they let themselves
be shamed into silence which lets the other person, and the bad behavior
and the enemy, get the upper hand. The saying that all it takes for bad
people to succeed is for good people to do nothing/remain silent,
something like that, is true. So the enemy gets a foothold and furthers
society into more decay because of Christians, and even non Christians,
silence so in order not to offend anyone.

So I think that as Christians we need to ask God to put for a guard over
our mouths and refuse to use that offended language. (The offended
language is also one that also blows things out of proportion to get the
desired result which is to shame the other person into silence so they can
magnify their issue and get their own way whatever it may be. Using
words like "outrage" or "hate" etc.) Christians should make it a point that
when we're expressing ourselves we do it clearly and without drama and
trying to get our own way. When dealing with people who are trying to get
what they want with the offense card we should clearly state back to them
what it is they're trying to get at. Like if they say that such and such that
you did and said offends them then you should substitute "offend" for the
word "upset" or "angry". People are so quick to get upset,and label it as
offense, nowadays it's like a drug and a bandwagon and due to the flesh
that loves drama so many are quick to jump on it. The phrase "that
offends me", or just being offended all the time, is like a catchphrase
or, better yet, should be seen as the new swearing and it shouldn't be
indulged.

SO IN SHORT : ask God for wisdom and discernment and call a spade a
spade but IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST. The enemy, along with bad behavior,
thrives on the darkness and the unsaid and hidden so pull things out into
the light of Christ and speak the truth in love and call people to task
politely. Also things will not change unless we start with our own behavior
as individuals in Christ's body and then that will affect the culture we live
in, and of course add prayer to that as well.

Hopefully this pertains to the original post. LOL! And if it doesn't please
correct me so I can understand. Thank you!

Gayle and Stacey. My precious sisters in the Lord! You always bless me by your comments.

Gayle, I Love your stand from offenses and the people who may caused them to you! Love that you are so strong in rebuking the offenses from getting into you or do harm iin any way or shape!

Stacey, you communicated the same thing as well! Love what you said about confronting evil although offenses maybe a definite result out of it! We faced offenses before and we are going to face them over and over... The only differance that I see right now is that our only key of rescue in facing these offenses and not to be harmed by it is to pursue love and walk in it no matter what for the Love is going to grow cold in the hearts of so many as the Lord already warned us ... Just feel sadden by this and challanged at the same time to ask the Lord to put my heart on fire for HIM and his kingdom that no matter what happen I will stand firm in walking in love!

In my time of worship at the chapel today, holy spirit asked me to read Hosea 5. I did to find verse 15  talks about offense ....

I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

A sign of maturity is nothing offends us because we know who we are
and whose we are. Remember the Father is trying to work the
characteristics of His son into us. And people are put in our life to
work this out. We must speak the truth in love period. The bible says
many will get offended in these last days, my advice don't be one of
them. God bless you.
