Imaginarous
What settles the score of every page.
Of wonders that can never end.
Who finds the portrait in the place.
That’s captured by the restless pen.
Who tells a story all books live.
That’s gathered by their written hearts.
Whose letters never cease to spend.
The moments given in their parts.
Why can’t there be a reason there.
That’s woven by the old and new.
How can the pictures cast their cares.
And rest with pages of their truths.
When can the numbers count the cost.
They say they have by what they speak.
Who writes the image never lost.
That dwells inside the parts they keep.
Where does the wonder find the page.
And story that its face can show.
To have inside its pen and place.
What books and paper never hold.
How can the written speak its voice.
Where wonder has its time to spend.
So all the scores of every page.
May rest in books that never end.
A Poem
