Luke 7:24
After John"s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about
John:
What did you go out to the dessert to see?
A reed swayed by the wind?
If not what did you go out to see?
A man dressed in fine clothes?
No those dressed in fine clothes, and indulge in luxury
Are in palaces.
But what did you go out to see? A Prophet?
Yes I tell you, and more than a prophet.
This is the one whom it is written:
I WILL SEND MY MESSENGER
AHEAD OF YOU
WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY
BEFORE YOU!
I tell you among those born of woman,
There is no one greater than John
Yet the one who is least in the Kingdom of God
Is greater than he.
All the people, even the tax collecters, when they heard Jesus words,
Acknowledged that God"s way was right, because they had been
baptized by John.
But the pharasees and the experts in law..
Rejected God"s purpose for themselves.
(because they had not been baptized by John.
Jesus said..
To what than can I compare this people of this generation?
What are they like?
They are like children sitting in the marketplace, and calling out to
eachother:
We played the flute for you
And you did not dance
We sang a dirge, and you did not cry
For John the baptist, came neither eating bread or drinking wine
And you say...He has a demon.
The Son of man came eating and drinking,
And you say he is a glutton, and drunkard.
Here is a glutton a drunkard, friend of tax
Collectors and sinners.
But wisdom is proved right by all of her children.
John came with a message of repentence
There are people who refuse to repent
They reject Gods purpose for themselves
They are playing the flute..and God"s not dancing.
They accuse God"s messengers of having demons.
The Prophets see great revival and healing,
But they see need for repentence in his house.
Judgement begins in the house of the Lord.
Carnal man judgements amount to nothing.
The Lord has been appointed by God as Judge
The Lord is worthy to Judge his house.
All his judgements are righteous and true.
The mouth piece of the Lord speaks from the Holy Spirit
Its not self righteous its the Lord"s righteousness.
Jesus is the living word become flesh, and dwells on earth today rules
reigns his Kingdom on earth today.
The Lord says..repent..be healed.
