"We have Entered the Feast Of Tabernacles," stated Arthur Burt.
This was no ordinary meeting! In fact, it was no ordinary 'Arthur Burt'
meeting! Those who have heard the ministry of this vessel of God know
how often he calls upon his vast history, knowledge of scriptures, and
great stories to weave the fabric of his teachings. A recent stroke had
affected his memory, hence rendering him unable to call upon his
normal array of resources. God, however, used him in a most
extraordinary way in a small gathering in Hinesville (Liberty County),
Georgia a few years back.
While his condition was evident in the meeting, it was even more so in
the airplane flying Arthur to Alabama. What made this condition of such
incredible dimension was that Arthur had to call upon the Holy Spirit
before he could speak. What made the meeting so special were the
words coming from his lips. He kept saying "The breath of God. The
breath of God. It will come as the breath of God." I will convey some of
the more important points of what we heard:
"We are not soon to enter the (Feast of Tabernacles); we have already
entered it. Only those who have ears to hear will experience it. You
must 'come out' before you can ever 'enter in." Paraphrased, You must
leave something old to arrive at something new. God wants to pour out
the new wine, but will only into the new wineskin - those prepared to
receive it.
"God is about to do something entirely new in music; something entirely
new with His Body. We are entering the fullness of time."
"We are coming to a place of being led of the Spirit of God in all we do.
This is happening in a company of believers now with evidence in their
lives of God's power, favor, and blessing - a testimonial example for the
Body." Many attributes make up this company, but one of the most
extraordinary is the revelation of John 5:30 "Of my ownself I can do
nothing..." Said differently, when we realize we can accomplish nothing
apart from God, then only are we prepared to be used of God. Even as
we act with God in an endeavor, it is not us but Him doing the work,
therefore we can never accept the glory.
This morning in prayer I felt I heard the Holy Spirit say:
"The stone has been rolled away and the resurrected Body is coming
forth, into the light...physical evidence for all to see now manifesting as
the Body joins and connects to the parts it is 'called' to connect to. This
Third Day Company will do mighty exploits in my name and glorify me.
Do not grow weary in obeying me, as soon physical evidence of my
hand (upon you) will avail itself. I will glorify myself through my
Body."
"I will soon separate the prophets into two clearly distinctive groups -
those that are in it for the money, and those who are not. Those who
are not will offer a pure word from having heard my voice. Many who
have gained name recognition (in my name) as significantly prophetic
are not; while others who have remained hidden and unassuming ARE!
My true prophets speak to the heart (spirit), while the false speak to the
head (intellect).
------------------------------------------------------------ -
Arthur Burt describes himself as "a piece of paper blown by the wind
from one place to another," but more often as simply a vessel of God's
mercy. "If you ask me who I am, I will tell you. I am nobody, and the
message I bring today is that every somebody will now have to become
nobody. We must lose our identity in the body of Christ, because Father
will not give his glory to anybody but Christ."

In the early 1990's I had the joy and privilage of setting in a small gathering of believers in Fla. when Arthur Burt spoke and fellowshipped with us. I was a very young believer and hungry. I remember feeling like I was picking up only a small portion of what was being given and able to retain only a little of his teachings. Basicly was overwhelmed and thrilled. He just told small stories and was like a grandpa. You could not help but to love his humble and common way of ministering. Thank you Clay for sharing the above. I sense the largeness of what will need to be abandoned and what will need to be imbraced will challange us all. Even so come Lord Jesus!
