“Where is God Anyway?”

by Lonnie Mackley  Sept. 17th, 2014

2CO 1:9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

There are some of you reading this right now who have been in dire and perplexing situations for a very long time now, and God wants you to know this day that He hasn't forsaken or rejected you; He is just leading you closer to Himself by keeping more quiet lately in order to coax you deeper into His presence. You’re entering a new spiritual level of service very soon, so your purity and intimacy with God must also enter a new level. And sometimes just before this happens you may experience a kind of lull or void. Plus, God’s been making the Bride face her spots and wrinkles that have been limiting us for so long by giving us a fresher and deeper revelation about the lies that have kept us bound, and the truth of His word that can fully set us free. So even though you may have tried and failed many times on your own in the past to get free, now you will see what God can do. Yes, even those longstanding fears and secret sin-habits will finally be pulled out by the roots with His word.

So even though you may feel very fleshy and distant from God, He’s actually still at work on your behalf. He knew what He was getting from the beginning when He saved you, and He already had a plan in place to sanctify and deliver you. Plus, He also knows how desperately you need many things right now, and the deep pain you still bear from the losses, betrayals, and rejections that you have unfairly suffered over the long years for obeying His call rather than doing what you wanted to do. Reproach may come with the Wilderness, but so does the Promised-Land if we will all just stay the course and keep trusting God no matter what. So even though you may feel like you can’t hear one more prophetic word about God moving or blessing you, trust in “who God is” and not in what He does or doesn’t do. Allow His word, rather than your feelings to control your life. God is waiting for you right now and wants to be found by you, so seek Him afresh and leave the rest up to Him!

JER 29: 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Hi Lonnie

After reading your word of wisdom I remembered looking
at Hebrews chapter 11 recently regarding it is those who
are diligent who find God and one of the meanings to the
word diligent is "painstaking".

Lonnie, this was a word in season for me; thank you for posting it. Thank you Jesus/Father; we praise your Holy Name.
