Sometimes maybe we feel like our heart is too big for
this world. Like people don’t want the kind of love
you have for them. Like the pureness of what you want
to share is too light for them and it’s only
frightening because they’re used to living in the
dark. I know what this feels like. Maybe this sounds
arrogant. But I’ve come up with an idea of how to cope
with these feelings. Since God is living as a candle
inside you, keep on carrying your light inside you.
Who can hate a candle? People hate Christians when
they make much of themselves. But with Jesus He can
show you just to keep carrying your candle not making
much of yourself. People won’t hate you for that.
They’ll recognise you, and slowly trust you enough to
wonder and ask you: where did you receive your candle
from? How can they carry theirs?
