Samuel ministered in three places: Bethel, Mizpah and Gilgal. I looked up the meaning of these three place names. Here is what I think God is saying to me about the ministry we have: well, the ministry we have is faith in Jesus, and the testimony of who He is, by His Spirit. And what does this mean in terms of working with our lives and honouring His command to pray for His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven? Bethel- household of God. Mizpah- watchtower, or witness. Gilgal- return to God, or reckoning, as an historical event. I believe what God is saying to me: the ministry of our faith is to be as a watchtower and witness to the reckoning of God in His household, to testify of what is already accomplished and of what is yet to come to pass in accordance with His promises to usward. And in order that we may testify, we must first believe in our hearts

Amen Liv,
This blesses me too because I was actually studying about the life of Samuel last week. I think out of all the prophets, he is my favorite. I love how the Lord called him as a small child and his standard of holiness.
God bless you,
Deb
