Desiring Spiritual Gifts
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.
1 Corinthians 14:1
I wanted to share this dream I had last night which will hopefully help us to understand why Spiritual gifts are important.
One of the things I would like for us all the understand that the reason we’re admonished to eagerly desire them is because they’re part of our spiritual arsenal. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:4).
In the dream, I was standing in a building high up looking out of a window. Below I saw red muddy water and in it was a very large black snake. Its head was in the water but I saw its body and recognized what it was. Then suddenly the snake reared up from the water directly in front of me and it made a sound that reminded me of a dinosaur. Then I heard voices say, “Don’t let it get her”. The snake was then in the house, looking for me. I could see it but because I was covered it couldn’t see me. Then I heard another voice say, “Now you got the yellow hook”.
A couple years ago, in another dream, I saw a man and a woman standing facing me. The man had on a tropical looking shirt. I began to walk toward the two and once I got close to the man, he panicked, and then he changed into a woman. His face was painted in such a way that my response was, “he’s a harlot”.
When I woke, the HG was letting me know that this is a special gift. I told my mom about the dream and as I walked away the HG reminded me of the tv show Grimm and I understood the dream completely.
If you know about the tv show Grimm, then you’ll understand the gift that is portrayed in the show. In the spirit realm, this gift of discernment means the enemy can’t hide from you. In fact, in your presence, he has to show himself as he really is because he recognizes your power and authority in the spirit realm. The enemy knows you’re more powerful than he is and has the power to destroy him.
Seek God for spiritual gifts, they are powerful weapons that will be needed in the spiritual war that is before us. Without them we are left vulnerable to the enemy, but with them he’s left vulnerable before us.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
