OPENING FINANCIAL DOORS

By Abraham G. Alademerin

“Honor the LORD with thy substance and with the first fruit of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine” (Pr 3:9-10)

Instruction: Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase.

Rewards: - Thy barns will be filled with plenty.

                  - Thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

What does it mean to Honor the LORD with our substance?

- It means to give great respect and admiration for Him with our gifts

- It means to be pleased to show deep respect to God with our gifts as our quality of knowing and doing what is morally right in His sight.

- It is simply to obey His commands concerning the principle of giving.

Before honoring God with our substances, wisdom and understanding of God is very important. You cannot honor somebody you did not know and understand.

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that gethet understanding” (Pr 3:13)

The major keys of having a right and rewarding relationship with God are:

1. Getting to know God deeply - knowing God for real is finding wisdom to deal with Him and to act like Him in all your works or deeds on earth.

2. Knowing God is getting wisdom and getting wisdom is to have full understanding of God.

Wisdom and understanding of God precedes your honoring Him and your honoring Him attracts the manifestation of His blessings and provisions in your lives.

What are these blessings – provisions - rewards?

- vs9, 10: -The filling of our barns with plenty. -The bursting of our presses with new wine.

The filling and the bursting are with:

- vs13: Happiness (satisfaction).

- vs14: Business and gains.

- vs15: Provisions more than all the things we desire.

- vs16: -Length of days from the Lord’s right hand. -Riches and honor from the Lord’s left hand.

- vs17: Pleasantness and peace.

- vs18: Tree of life with happiness.

- vs22: Everlasting life and grace (Life unto our souls means rest from all worries of life, while grace to thy neck means favor).

- vs23: Protection and guide.

- vs24: Security and comfort.

- vs25, 26: Confidence and victory over the enemy.

Now that we have the wisdom (knowing God) and understanding of what He has and can do for us, what are the ways to honor Him?

How to honor God with our substance

“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it”. “Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, and tomorrow will give; when thou hast it by thee” (Pr 3:27-28).

Beloved of God,

Honoring the LORD with your substance is a key to open financial doors. Are you thinking about ministering to the widows, the ophans and the less priviledged? What about missionaries out there reaching the unreached world? What have you done for the necessities of the saints? January is passing by, so would the year 2010. Time is running out, the time of our accountability isdrawing near - the coming of the Lord is so close and if He tarries what about your closness to the grave.. WAKE UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LORD.

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecc 9:10)

Wishing you a glorios and prosperous 2010.

Abraham
