GILGAL: THE PLACE OF VISITATION & VICTORY

Israel had just come through the most incredible miracle. They walked through the river bed of the Jordan on dry ground. They had seen the promise from the other side? the reality of harvest and joy was just ahead of them? but now that they had walked through the Jordan, they were trampling through the fields of promise. They were walking in the land of promise? the land where it was harvest time? but an event needed to occur before the battle could begin. Until this event occurred, Israel had to simply camp in the shadows of a mighty city that represented territory owned by God, but occupied by his enemies. They had to learn to wait until this important event had transpired. The most significant event that would result in the campaign to redeem the promised land was a visit. The Angel of the Lord was about to visit His battlefield and declare the means by which it would become His. That event was more significant than Jordan?s water parting and more significant than Jericho?s walls falling! That event set in motion heaven and earth to bring to one place all the purposes of God for a generation.
As we have witnessed over the past few months as the Lord continues to pour out His Harvest on our region. We are beginning to realize that we are camping in Gilgal, the place where reproach is rolled away? the place where our flesh is cut off? the place where we have to camp in the shadows of God?s promises until we experience the revelation of God?s plan. The church today is camped at Gilgal?. there is a sense that we are living on the edge of the greatest Harvest the world has ever seen, but a couple ingredients are important before we can take whole cities without any sense of carnal, fleshly means. The battles that lie before us can only be won by The Lord?s Plans? and that is the place of victory ? not that we win? but that He wins!
There is coming a profound visitation of the Lord to His people. The plans of the Almighty are being revealed through these visitations. Plans that are obscure, different, and in some cases appearing foolish. (Walking around a city appears like foolishness to men, but it was God?s means of victory). These visitations will be both personal and corporate? and the result will be absolute, total victory by the Lord.
These victories will not bear the marks or imperfections of a man?s name? they will be true victories that can be attributed only to Jesus, our Commander in Chief. The battle for Jericho was not won by the Israelites? it was won by God! It was God?s plan that was in operation, not man?s plan. We can not rush into what we think is a good plan? ?Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails?. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD. ? (Proverbs 19:21, 21:30-31). When God wins battles, all spoils belong to Him? in the Harvest that is being released? there is no room for receiving to ourselves accolades, fame, prowess (ability), wealth, or glory? The Battle is the Lords? all Glory goes to Him.
The church right now is looking out a task that is formidable by human means? as with everything God does, this will require God?s intervention and His Plan. We are here at Gilgal ? the place where we have had to rest in the midst of war ? sleep in the shadows of the enemies fortress ? and yet we hold on with great anticipation, knowing the promise is about to be fulfilled ? and knowing that only God can do it! It is here, where we are right now, where God will show up and release the words that the church has longed to hear for so long. ?I am here ? not assist you in your plans? here not to finalize your readiness? I am here to absolutely and resoundingly TAKE OVER! ~ It?s not by might nor power says the Lord, but by my Spirit!!!!
Jesus is getting into the boat? and as He does ? immediately we will be at the other side! WE couldn?t get there until He got in the boat? no matter what plans and ideas we had? it wasn?t working. But we are now living the reality of the days of Joel 2, Acts 2, & Joshua 6 ?. The victory is ours, not because we claim it, but because He already HAS! ? this battle is the Lords!!! In this battle? the walls fall, not because of who we are, but because of who He is. This Harvest is too large to be owned by a man? it is owned by the Lord of the Harvest!
There has been a wonderful move of the Spirit of God throughout our region in the past several months? we are so grateful to be a part of what God is doing throughout the world. The fire continues to spread ? through the region and throughout the United States. Come!
