(Revelation 14:15-16) Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." {16} So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
When God initiated a sudden move in our midst back in February, we had no idea that our nightly meetings would continue for more than a few days. We are now entering our fifth month, and not only have the gatherings increased, they are increasing exponentially. People hungry for God have made their way to Ahoskie from at least thirteen states, over sixty towns and cities, several countries (not including some who are coming from as far away as India and Nepal in July for our Fields on Fire II International Youth Conference - see www.churchatthecrossroads.com/fieldsonfire.html ). It simply began with hunger. last summer the Lord broke in on us with incredible power at our youth conference - then the Lord used a prophetic vessel named Joni to speak hope into many who were here - then the Lord called us to a 40 day fast that resulted in a cleansing, repentance, and healing in January, the hearts of many were ripe for what God was about to do? and he did do something! - God took a broken vessel and used it to start a fire, then he began multiplying and increasing it as fire starters, intercessors, and men and women passionate for God and revival have come into our region for these past four months.
For those who not only experienced the hunger and the joy of God's visitation, but also began to take that message out, there has been increase. Bars, restaurants, gas stations, neighbors, work places, hospitals, and the streets have been "open season" for the Lord to increase the joy and watch the harvest be reaped.
The past several weeks have been absolutely awesome! in fact, the past six weeks have really revealed that the Lord is using a multitude of servants to give birth to this season of Harvest. We've heard from men, women, youth, and children, carpenters, plumbers, factory workers, migrant workers, school teachers, students, housewives, salesmen, and the obvious: pastors, evangelists, teachers, and prophetic and apostolic men and women. They are all moving in the power and anointing of God. The Lord is looking for laborers, and he is finding them, they are making their way to this tiny town that has been had an open portal from heaven over it since it began.
A new birth happened this past week, the Lord gave birth not just to an individual, but to an entire population in this area. It started with one, a Hispanic man who came to meetings though he could not understand, and though there was no interpreter. God sent an interpreter, all the way from across the country, she had no idea why God wanted her here, but last week he received Jesus, and the streams were opened. and now others are streaming to Jesus! and "Encrucijadas" (Crossroads in Spanish)has been birthed !
Last night, Sunday June 2, we saw glory, the mist of God's presence permeated the room. Those who had never witnessed that kind of visible demonstration were marked & changed forever by the fact that God's Presence was so heavy in the room. Timothy Sherman from Portland Oregon ministered in profound, specific revelation. More than one said, "This is only the first night! What is going to happen here?" It was truly AWESOME! We believe that God is taking us up to the next phase in this outpouring significantly this week.
A few weeks ago, and indeed last week the Lord used Todd Sherritt from Columbia SC to speak powerful revelatory words to so many people. but as always, there is more, and God is demonstrating that this week. I would encourage as many of you as are within driving distance to make your way to Ahoskie in the next few days while Timothy is here (Monday - Wednesday, June 3-5, 7pm nightly & Wednesday @ 10am & 2pm). You really don't want to miss this, it's really worth losing your sleep over it, there is nothing this good on TV - this is monumental stuff!
The fields are ripe - your heart probably is too. Come!
