Fields On Fire Follow Up
We were not quite sure how the Holy Spirit wanted to come during Fields on Fire II in Ahoskie, NC. Two nights of lackluster response to the ministry time had us discouraged. And then the alabaster box was broken! The aroma of the anointing was laughter, joy, and drinking the new wine. Every teenager in the prayer line came under the influence of the joy of Jesus, ALL of them, noone was left out-- even though they were under legal drinking age. Kids convulsed with laughter. It remained for hours and they had to be helped to the cars!
My wife Jodie had a vision that she was standing near a crystal, flowing river. It was appealing, but she was strangely hesitant to get in. Once in the river, she heard an approaching waterfall! She said to Jesus, "Lord, this is gonna hurt!" When she arrived at the waterfall, she began to fly. She flew through the clouds until she saw the Pentagon in Washington DC. The Lord said, "Jodie, the children are dying."
She put a seed in their hands and it quickly blossomed into a beautiful flower.
We understand the Lord to be saying that we are not to get out of the river to wait on the "next thing." The river will take us to the next thing! It will appear threatening but will end in new powers of the age to come (representing by her ability to fly). It will result in the Word (the seed) bringing a quick work of salvation and equipping for ministry (the flower) to the next generation.
When we returned from Fields II, the Lord confirmed that He is not finished serving the new wine. We met with several couples for dinner. We were all eager to stir up this joy that some say is over. Upon walking into the house we were all hit with the glory of God and struggled to stand for five hours. One brother had a swollen bursa sack on his elbow that grew as the evening progressed. It was the size of a baseball. We gathered around him to soak him in healing prayer. We didn't work hard. In fact, it was fun. The next morning the pocket of fluid had disappeared as we had commanded it to do.
