December 7th At The Gate Dc. - David & Tracy Ruleman
January 11, 2003

December 7th at The Gate DC.

Holy Spirit seemed to brood over us. The presence of the Lord was powerful and we were full of anticipation. For weeks we have been watching as Jesus the healer moves in the midst of worship and sovereignly heals those among us. One of the singers began to sing, "Arise Oh Lord with healing.....Arise Oh Lord." Another had a vision of God rising up above the earth and beams came from His hands. It was healing for the nations but also judgement for those who did not follow Him. (Habakuk 3:3-6) The reading of Isaiah 4O"3-9 followed this: "A voice cries. In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together for the mouth has spoken. (Verses 3-5)

People prayed lifting up holy hands. "Lord give us more. Give us greater desire. Let your presence come." Another. "We love you Lord. Purify your bride. Makes us like you Lord and come for your bride." The singers began one after another calling on the Lord to come; crying out for more of His glory and more of His presence. Spontaneous songs; "You are the star for which every morning waits. And for your arising my soul does wait." Then the primary theme of the next hour of worship came in spontaneous songs with these words, "Shine down. Shine down. Please come. Take us from the outer courts to the Holy of Holies. I can see your face shinning down on me. Tell me that you love me. Lover of my soul. Keeper of my heart. Bright and morning star. Shine Down. Please come. I can see your face shinning down on me. Take me to the Holy place. Take me to the Holy of Holies. Take me away. I want to be with you. Take me higher. Take me deeper. Take me away." As the music the Lord seemed to respond to our desperate hearts. This prophetic word came forth from the Lord.

"I am looking for a people whose hearts are totally give to me. I am looking for a people whose eyes catch my gaze. I am looking for a people whose hands are clean. I am looking for a bride that I can come to. She will see me before the world sees me. She will begin to see me and I will begin to show myself to her. I will begin to reveal myself in ways I have not revealed before. As the days pass I will be coming to my Church; revealing myself to her so that she will be transformed into my likeness and my glory will begin to radiate upon my bride and my glory will begin to shine through their eyes. My glory will begin to be revealed in all the earth. I am looking for those whose hearts are given to me. I am looking for those who are seeking me. Seeking my face. Seeking my kingdom and my righteousness. I am looking for those whose hearts are given to me. That I might manifest my glory in the earth and bring my kingdom. I am looking for those whose hearts are given to me. I am looking for those whose eyes catch my glaze."

A sense of greater desperation could be heard in the worship as theme continued. "Set me apart. Set me apart. Please come. Shine down. Shine down. Take me to you Holy Place. I want to see your face. Take me into your Holy of Holies. Open my eyes Lord. Open my eyes. Purify my heart." Vocalists sang one after another and softly behind one another in beautiful counterpoint crying out for more of the Lord. "Purify my heart. Let me shine in the darkness." "Shine Down. Shine Down" "Purify my heart. I want to hear you. I want to see you." "It is the cry of my heart to see you. Oh Lord; hear the cry of my heart. To see you. To know you. To hear you. To feel you. To know you more and to feel your heart beat with mine. Hear the cry of my heart Lord." "Can you feel the beating of my heart in response to you? Can you feel the beating of my heart? Just once glance and I am breathless. Just one glance and I am undone. Can you feel the beating of my heart in response to you? With just one glance I am breathless. With just one glance I am undone." Songs of the Bride to the Bridegroom.

Someone rose to read Song of Solomon 8:5-7. "Who is that coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? Under the apple tree I awakened you. There your mother was in labor with you; there she who bore you was in labor. Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods down it."

We prayed for Washington DC and for the region and the nation. We prayed that the glory of the Lord would fill the city-region. We prayed for the Church. In a vision someone saw a man sitting in classroom and it was as if he was dead. God said to shout for the Church to be awakened and to prevail. We entered into intercession for the lost and for a release of the power of God that we might prevail and that His glory would be revealed. (Isaiah 60) "Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." We prayed for His healing power to flow from His presence in the city.

Chris testified of the Lords healing power. From birth his body did not grow properly. He used a cane to walk and had not run since he was 10 years old. God has begun to heal him. He testified that he no longer uses the cane and one-day the Lord asked him why he never ran. The Lord said. "Why don't you try it?" He began to run and testified that he runs at work now because he can. He testified that there is no shame in infirmity but Jesus purchased us to glorify His name by healing us. We are gatekeepers for what the world can have in Christ Jesus. Jesus liberates us from bondage and we must swing wide the gate for healing.

Matt testified of the healing power of Jesus and his experience at the Healing Rooms of Cleveland. Tracy and Matt flew up for healing prayer for cancer and in the process Matt testified of deep healing of wounds and the breaking of strongholds in his life. We will continue to pray for Matt that he might be completely delivered from cancer and experience in his body the manifestation of the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Director of the Cleveland Healing Rooms, Jim White, and the teams there have a real anointing to pray for those afflicted with cancer.

While Tracy was in Cleveland she was reminded by the Lord of something He had said to her years earlier. He said; "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you." These words the Lord spoke to Joshua. (Joshua 1:5) The Lord told her that this had a two-fold meaning. First, that the Lord was with Joshua as He was with Moses to enable them to enter into the land of their inheritance. The "land" that the Lord spoke about from the very beginning was always a spiritual land (inheritance) represented in the natural by physical ground. God is with us to bring us into our inheritance. Secondly, when the Lord spoke to Moses from the burning bush, He spoke of Moses' calling and destiny to lead the children of Israel out of captivity. "But Moses said to God, 'Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?' And then He said, 'Certainly I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that it is I who sent you; when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain." Ex. 3:11-12 She told us she believed the Lord was saying that the sign that He is with us is that we are bringing people into a place of His presence, a place of intimacy, a place of worship face to face. A place where we not only hear His voice but we become His voice. The Israelites were brought to the mountain but they refused His voice, they were gripped with fear and told Moses to go up the mountain and hear from God for them. We are told not to refuse His voice. (Heb. 3 & 4) He is with us and as we worship Him He reveals Himself to us. In His presence is fullness of joy and healing!
