St. Robert, Missouri Miracle Highlights
September 24, 2003
What a week we had at Rock of Ages Church with Pastor Tim and Tracy O'Brien in St. Robert, Missouri. They are part of the revival network of churches connected to the Smithton outpouring in Missouri where revival hit in 1996.
The church was hungry and desperate for God and ready for a fresh move of the Spirit. We had visitors from other parts of Missouri come in to enjoy the presence of God that was in the meetings.
It was a week of BREAKTHROUGH for St. Robert. The Lord released an unusual anointing for the youth on Sunday morning. As Samuel anointed David while he was a young boy for the calling that was on his life to be king so the Lord released an anointing on the young people for the calling that was on their lives. Many children responded and came to the altar to be released into their destiny. A fresh anointing was released as young people fell to the floor under the weight of His glory.
Miracles started breaking out in our first meeting together. The Lord gave Matt a word of knowledge of someone's lower back pain being healed. A man responded from the congregation. Here's his testimony:
"I had been experiencing lower back pain that frequently required me to sleep on the edge of my bed with my foot on the floor and head on the mattress. I had missed business appointments due to the pain. The pain had existed for 16-18 months prior to Matt visiting our church for a four day conference. As Matt and the congregation prayed for healing I began to feel the muscles in my back begin twitching and heating up. I soon felt a wave of relief in my lower back. It was powerful. I have not felt any hint of pain since.! Tim Williams, MO
When Tim came forward to testify he did high kicks with his leg and could find no more pain in his back! He did everything he could to find the pain but none was there!
In one of the meetings the "wind of the Spirit" could be sensed blowing over the congregation. This phenomenon has been happening in our meetings since our trip to Europe in August.
Many other testimonies of healing came in this week as God's healing presence and power filled the atmosphere. As we invited the precious presence of the Holy Spirit many lives were radically touched by His power.
People testified of experiencing God in ways they never had before. One elderly gentleman shared with me that he had never fallen out under the power before. In one night he was "slain" several times. He testified of feeling a wind-like force blow over him and then a warm sensation cover his body as he fell to the floor.
God also released deep emotional healing and breakthrough in many people's hearts as they were released from past hurts, bitterness and resentment.
Matt called out a word of knowledge for someone who had broken a bone that didn't set right. A woman came forward who nine years ago was in an accident. She injured her tailbone and has been in pain and discomfort ever since. As we released the healing anointing all the pain left her back! Praise God (Mihee Guiles, MO).
Matt had another word of knowledge for foot conditions being healed. An eleven year old boy named Levi testified of the power of God moving from his head to his feet with the pain in his heels being completely removed. He could stomp his feet with no pain at all (Levi O'Brien, MO).
Another woman was healed in her neck. When a rib came out of place the muscles around it tightened causing pain and a limited range of motion. The chiropractor said she would have to struggle with it. As Matt prayed for her she fell out under the power and received full range of motion back in her neck (Michelle Elhardt, MO).
As we prayed for necks to be healed another girl came forward who had pain in her neck and down her left shoulder. As we prayed the lump in her neck completely disappeared! Here's her testimony:
"Praise the Lord!! I am so grateful that the Sorger family has answered the call of God on their lives. Matt was preaching at Rock of Ages Church here in St. Robert, Missouri on the 15th of September. I came to the service expecting great things, but nothing could have prepared me for what God had in store form me. When I was a child I incurred a neck injury while playing on the playground. I fell off of the monkey bars head first, causing me to sprain my neck and crack one of the vertebrae. The injury never completely healed and left a large mass that could be felt on the left side of my neck. I suffered from severe headaches that started in my neck and ran down my left shoulder. The pain would last for several days. I have never told anyone in my church about this injury. The Holy Spirit revealed to Matt my condition. When Matt called out my specific condition I was amazed. I did not go up to the alter at the first or second call. The Holy Spirit kept prompting Matt to ask for those suffering with this condition to come forward. I finally gave in. I was not sure what to expect. I felt the Holy Spirit run through my body. What an amazing feeling! Matt laid his hand on me and continued to pray for me to be healed. He then laid both hands on my head and I was overcome with God's power. I dropped to the floor. As I laid there I felt a sensation of heat going through my body, particularly in my neck. I am not sure how long I was on the floor, but when I could finally stand, the mass in my neck was GONE!!! My neck was completely HEALED!!!! Praise GOD!!!! Tracy Beegen, MO
Another woman received healing in her legs, knees and feet. Here's her testimony:
"When Matt released a general wave of healing to the congregation, I felt my ankles and feet just drain of the swelling and hurting. Then Matt called people up for healing in their feet and I went up and was slain in the Spirit. While laying there I could feel heat going down both legs starting on my knees. After that I was totally refreshed, light and bouncy. I spoke to several friends in the parking lot after service and they were feeling the awe of God's goodness just as I was. Alberta Fisher, MO
One night we experienced a great breakthrough in the joy of the Lord. As the congregation held hands the power of God began to move through the crowd with many simultaneously falling out under the power and experiencing a great joy. Some laid on the floor for the entire service.
Many testified of their lives being changed throughout the week. Both adults and children testified to awakening to a great sense of God's presence the following morning after the meetings. We thank God for the lives healed and touched during our time in St. Robert, MO.
