Fresh Fire Blazing New Trails into South America
We have just returned from a highly successful mission?s trip into the countries of Peru and Ecuador in South America. The Lord has opened the door for Fresh Fire to expand our mission?s base in that part of the world. We are pleased to announce that we have just opened new offices in Lima Peru. The ministry has hired Pastor Oscar Strado to coordinate our efforts to reach South America for Jesus, and we now have eight new staff members there working with Fresh Fire.
We have plans to return to Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Argentina and Bolivia in 2004. Perhaps, you would like to pray about partnering with us as we take the Gospel and reap the harvest in South America. Ask the Lord what your role is in the Global Harvest?
Thousands Run to Jesus
Fresh Fire evangelist, Jim Drown, preached to 15,000 in Talada, Peru the opening night. The team joined Jim for the second night of the open-air crusade. That night, Todd preached with fire, determination, and a heavy anointing, proclaiming the gospel and the message of salvation. These beautiful people are hungry for God! After Todd shared his testimony, we saw 5800 people literally run to the altar to accept Jesus. Later, as Todd and the team prayed for the sick, hundreds were touched and healed of the Lord. The crowd pressed the team to the platform after seeing 6 blind eyes open.

The Healing of Blind Bartimaus
The team moved to open-air meetings in the town of Paita, Peru where the meetings were held in the shadow of a huge water tower. Once again God came in power and Todd began the meetings without preaching, moving right into the word of knowledge and releasing miracles. One man who came forward was a well know local businessman who was blind in one eye. As the power of God began to course through his body, he began to weep and shake! His blind eye opened and, through tears as he stood on the platform, he proclaimed to the whole town that Jesus was the healer! Soon six more blind eyes were opened and many other miracles happened. Hundreds came forward each night to accept Jesus as savior and Lord!
Angelic Choir Visitation
During the next three nights Todd and the team ministered in a large stadium, which was filled to near capacity with around 6 to 8 thousand each night. We saw hundreds of salvations and many miracles that night. However, the most amazing thing was not the dozens of blind that were seeing or the deaf hearing or the many lame walking! No, the most incredible thing occurred Friday night when the heavens opened! Todd called the stadium to be silent for a moment, and asked for the winds of heaven to blow into the place! It did! Nearly 6000 people stood in silence as an angelic choir sang and played heavenly instruments! Many witnessed feathers floating down from the rafters and the presence of God was tangible. The whole stadium heard the angels sing.
By the time the main Fresh Fire team traveled to Ecuador, already over 9600 people had been saved and hundreds of healings and miracles had taken place (an advance team had arrived earlier). During one spontaneous street outreach alone, there were dozens of salvations and miracles. Jesus definitely left a mark on Peru and the fresh fire is still burning. Many are testifying that they will never be the same again.
Paralyzed Man Walks
The team traveled on to Ecuador by bus. Even when the bus broke down, we found time to minister! During a 4-hour wait, team members prayed for a paralyzed man named Enrique who was bound to a wheel chair. After he received prayer, he felt the peace of Jesus flood his body and then he stood for the first time in 5 years. After a few words of knowledge, others in the crowd came forward for prayer. Then Enrique, and 5 others who gathered to watch, all accepted Jesus as savior. In a short time we were on a new and better bus and on the way to Ecuador.
Outreach to School for Orphans
A team was given the opportunity to minister in a small school on the morning of October 9th. The children here are very beautiful and sang to the team. The team then sang to the school students and staff before Fresh Fire intern, Brian Lake, preached a short message about salvation and healing. After receiving a word of knowledge, the team witnessed the Lord open two deaf ears and heal several children from infirmities. The team then shared candy and laughter with these wonderful kids.
Fresh Fire Youth Conference Reaps Hundreds of Souls
Fresh Fire sponsored a youth conference on Friday the 10th, of October, and the whole team was on hand to bless the Kids. Shantana, a famous Christian salsa singer, was on hand to lead praise and worship. We were blessed to see about 212 of those present in the auditorium make decisions to accept Jesus as Lord and savior.
The Gospel Comes to Manta
With outreaches scheduled each day, Todd pressed in to seek the Lord for direction. He opened the meetings with words of knowledge and we saw several dynamic miracles to begin the meetings. The crusade was held in one of the largest parks in the city of Manta. There were hundreds of salvations and miracles each night. The whole town saw that Jesus is Lord and the Kingdom of God came into the city! Every night the deaf, dumb, blind, mutes and lame were healed in the main square of the City.
Pastors anointed with Fresh Fire
Todd invited all the pastors in the city of Malta to attend a free pastor?s conference. Friday morning Todd taught a fresh message about the tangible, transferable anointing that comes with the laying on of hands. Todd unfolded biblical principles starting in Deuteronomy 34:9, went through the ministry of Jesus and then into the epistles with the unfolding of I Timothy 5:22. He was on fire, preaching with a anointing and zeal that was truly awesome. First Todd laid hands upon the whole team to release a fresh impartation of the healing anointing. Then He released the impartation to all of the pastors. Many wept, shook, rattled and rolled?it looked like renewal had come to Manta, Ecuador.
Praying for the Dead
After the impartation to pray for the sick, a small team was released to visit a local hospital. The team moved with great unity?they saw many healings and had the privilege to lead dozens to Jesus as they went from room to room. The team walked into the diabetic ward and prayed en masse for the patients, asking for the healing fire to touch bodies. Holy Spirit confirmed the Word, touching and healing many. Most notable was one blind man who began to see after being blind for nearly 60 years.
While we were in Ecuador, one of our helpers came running up to us saying that a great miracle was about to happen. Some of the team had been seeking the Lord and asking to be used in the raising of the dead for a long time. We heard that a little girl had just died down stairs.
When we walked down stairs, there in the weeping arms of a mother, was a little girl about six years old. A wave of doubt and grief swept over the team. The weeping mom allowed us to pray for the child. As we laid our hands upon the little girls clammy skin, grief and despair washed us. We had been praying for a long time, when one team member took the child in his arms and clutched her to his chest. Weeping, he asked God to spare the child, then began warring and calling for her spirit to return. The team prayed and wept along with the young mother and the family, asking for the child?s life to return.
By now a large crowd had gathered. Then the Holy Spirit whispered to our team that it was not time for this miracle. The team leader tapped each team member on the shoulder to inform us?we knew he had heard from the Lord. The time was not right, but why not?
Fresh Fire Women?s Conference
The women from the Fresh Fire team traveled to a local auditorium to share the gospel and minister to the local women and pastors wives. Pastor B.B. Rail spoke and released a powerful message which encouraged the women of Ecuador to rise up! There was a release of several words of knowledge and several of the women were powerfully touched and healed, both physically and spiritually.
Fresh Fire returns to the hospital
On Saturday a small team had an impromptu opportunity to return to the city hospital. Working quickly from floor to floor and room to room, they saw several healings and miracles. The team was able to lead about 48 to Jesus in the short visit. There were several notable miracles including a man named Alfonzo, who had been blind in his left eye for 18 years. He lost his vision after an unsuccessful brain surgery. As the team laid hands on him, he began to see light, then shadows, fingers and small objects. He began to cry and called out, ?Jesus is truly God?. When they saw the miracle, all the patients in the room, about 15 people, gave their lives to Jesus!
Another young girl, Johanna, also received a spectacular miracle. Her mother, having witnessed the healings and miracles in other room, grabbed one of the team and asked him to pray for her daughter. As they walked into the room, Holy Spirit said, ?The prayer of Faith shall save the sick?. Then this team member had a ?snap shot? vision of the girl rising out of the bed. As the team prayed the prayer of faith over Johanna, she got an astonished look on her face. She had an injured spine?the doctors had told her that she would never walk normally again as her right leg was totally paralyzed. When the team asked her what was happening, she told them, ?There is fire moving up and down my back?! One of the team grabbed her hand and said, ?In the name of Jesus, rise and walk?. She did!
Jesus saves the best wine for last
The final night of the crusade was a night of diverse miracles. That afternoon, Todd had taught the team on soaking and getting the word of knowledge. He opened the meeting with the team?s words of knowledge. There were several notable healings and miracles. Todd called out people by name and condition. Several cripples were healed during the ministry and Todd stood on the platform with one of the interns, Ryan Wyatt, holding an empty wheelchair over his head! Jesus had the victory in Manta, Ecuador!
