Flowing In Tulare
November 2, 2003
God is so awesome. It never ceases to amaze me how awesome our Lord is.
The people keep coming. They come because a friend has told them. They come because of the magazine articles. They come because of these reports. They come to see if it is really true. Each time as they enter the church they are amazed with the strength of the Presence of God.
A couple stop by the church to bless us with bread for the food bank. They had been here the previous evening. God had impressed them to buy bread and bring it in. (We had just ran out. Thank you Jesus!) They remarked when they entered town the previous day they could feel God's Presence. When they came to the church she said the Lord allowed her to see into the spirit and she could see what was like a white circular area with Jesus and Angels walking around. As she walked through the circular area she became very noticeabley drunk in the Spirit. She was so amazed. She couldn't explain. This is the usual comment of so many - "I can't explain it, I just know it is God!"
Lives being changed. Body, mind, and spirit being healed. They come and lay on the altar to spend time with the Lord. It is all about Him. Not about a sermon, not about a program. It is all about Him. They come from other states and counties to give Him glory and honor and praise.
You won't find big crowds but a manger where the people drift in throughout the day and night. Most in the evening. Some even staying all night. Jesus meets each one in a way that most have never known before.
It is about loving Him. It is about knowing Him not just about Him. It is about having His love poured into us with such strength that we pour back out to those around us. It is about taking back the authority and ability which He has placed in us to be able to walk boldly in Him and with Him. It is about taking back that which has been stolen from us by the enemy - that precious precious communion with our Savior that we were made to have. That intimacy that all mankind longs for. That tangible Presence that we thought was impossible. It is about Him. Not about us. Not about getting the "feel goods" but about Him.
When it is about Him we have no fear to talk with that neighbor. The ministers have no fear of offending but speak the true word of God. When it is about Him we have no fear to walk into that hospital room and pray for the sick. When it is about Him we have His compassion pouring through us for the lost and do not fear that we might offend. When it is about Him all that matters is our love for Him and the longing to be a sweet scent unto Him.
IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM!! NOT ABOUT US!
If you can, come to Tulare and be refreshed. Pastors - this is a place you can come that will place no demands on you. A place to be restored and refreshed.
He longs to spend time with you. He longs to pour into you all that you need. The time is so short. Run to Him. Lay before Him in your own homes and allow Him to reveal Himself to you. Press in - the time is short.
