The Easter Signs and Wonders Conference with Revivalist Matt Sorger, held at our church April 4-9, 2004, was truly transformational for our church and our area! Our church, our geographic area, and the people who attended this conference will never be the same! The Lord had been doing incredible and awesome things at Voice of Praise Worship Center for several months before the conference, but He demonstrated His favor and awesome power in a tremendous, increased measure during the conference.
It was a true regional conference, with people attending from as many as 20 different churches in one night. People came from as far away as upstate New York and Ft. Lauderdale, FL to attend. Many verified healings and deliverances occurred each night of the conference. People were healed of many different physical infirmities and afflictions, often as a result of a word of knowledge given by the Lord through Matt Sorger. Furthermore, many people testified of receiving emotional and mental healing, and healing of "wounds of the soul." Also, many people received salvation (the greatest miracle!) and the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire.
Several people experienced heavenly visions of angels and the glory cloud of God as the Lord manifested His Presence and glory among us! The Friday night impartation service was one of the most incredible, indescribable experiences I have ever participated in or witnessed. According to Matt's instruction, the large crowd of people lined up all over the facility, even over in the gymnasium, and all of them were overcome by a massive wave of the Holy Spirit! Many testified of receiving a life-changing impartation of the fire and power of God as Matt laid hands on each one, including myself!
I have also been forever changed and transformed by the power of God, and He continues to save, heal, deliver, and baptize people in the Holy Spirit. We cannot really express in words our thanksgiving and praise to God for what He has done and is doing among us, we just want more of Him! We also cannot thank God enough for such choice servants of the Kingdom as Matt Sorger and his parents Rich and Veronica Sorger. Matt Sorger is truly a man of God that He uses in awesome ways, with signs, wonders, and miracles accompanying the Word of God that he preaches so effectively.
Thank you Matt for being such a devoted servant and instrument of the Lord. And thank You Jesus, You are awesome, and You do miracles so great!

1."I had been battling with depression for months. The depression had gotten to the point where I didn't want to live. I felt so hopeless, I had no joy and my heart was so bogged down with heaviness. I was so broken down. On Monday night (April 5), Matt gave a word for depressed and suicidal people. I went up for prayer, and as he laid his hands on me I fell out under the power of God. I literally felt someone reach their hand down inside my body. All of a sudden the brokenness, heaviness, and depression were gone. Then this gentle breeze came over me and for the first time in months I felt very light and peaceful in mind, body, soul, and spirit. I had not felt that for so long. I haven't had any suicidal thoughts since that night. To God be the glory!"

2."My mother (Carolyn) received prayer for her back over our cell phone (during the service Matt asked us to call our friends or loved ones who needed healing). My mother placed her hand on her back while she received prayer. She stated that she felt a deep, penetrating heat all through her back and down her legs all that evening and into the next morning. She says she feels better than she has in years. She has no pain or strain. She had been receiving injections for the pain. She is praising the Lord for the healing touch she received from Him that night! Also, we previously were not able to get a signal on my cell phone at the church, but that night we were able to contact her on my cell phone without any problems. Praise the Lord!"

3."On Tuesday night, when Matt called for anyone who wanted more of God to come forward, I did. I was on fire, my whole body burned and tingled. I found myself demanding that God change me and rid me of my strongholds and demons. I wanted the feeling of God's embrace to never leave. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit that night. It was the most indescribable, miraculous, and peaceful thing that has ever happened to me. On Wednesday night, I found myself beginning to be consumed with the fire. On Friday night, while in the pew, I became so engulfed with the Holy Ghost and found myself barely able to stand. The fire and Presence of the Holy Spirit multiplied. What a joyous and miraculous change has been made in my life!"

4."On Sunday morning (April 4), while we were at the altar praising God, I felt a sensation of intense heat in my right lower back that has ached for the past two years. It stopped hurting at that time and has not hurt since then. Then on Monday night (April 5), as we gathered around the altar, Matt said that he saw a chronic hip condition on someone's right side being healed. This was another chronic pain I had experienced for about six months. It was gone then and has not returned."

5."During praise and worship Friday night (April 9), I closed my eyes and saw an outline of wings they were big. When Matt was praying for people with curved spines, I felt a heat and fell out automatically. I had heat on my face, and I believe I'm completely healed."

6."My ear had been hurting for about four days. My Mom said it was water in my ear. On Wednesday night (April 7) I got filled with God and He healed my ear!" Carlie, age 8
7."On Friday night (April 9) I fell out in the Holy Spirit. Until then that was the most wonderful thing that had happened to me. On Easter Sunday, it happened again, but this time I was able to speak in tongues. I never knew that anyone could feel like that. I don't even look at things or think about things in the same way I did before. There are a lot of changes in my life and I'll never be the same. I thank God and give Him all the praise for what He's done for me."

8."During church over the week I saw angels in each corner of the church and three angels over the drum cage. Matt's preaching changed my life forever. I have dug my own well and I've found my shovel. I'm a clean Christian. God healed my ear for weeks I couldn't hear out of my right ear. God has blessed my life even more than He had before."

9."The last night of the conference was an awesome experience. When Matt was going around and [imparting] to everyone, it felt awesome to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I had stomach problems, and I had a burning in my stomach. My stomach has not hurt since and I have never felt more at peace in my life than I do now. Praise God."

10."Each night of the conference, as I would stand to worship and pray, my knees would hurt me so bad I would just want to sit down or leave. On Friday night (April 9) when Matt said to touch the part of your body to be healed, I touched my knees. As I prayed, I immediately felt a warm tingly sensation around both of my knees front and back, like a warm heating pad. It stayed there for a long time and my knees started to get really hot. The pain went away, I know God touched them. I give Jesus the glory."

11."On Tuesday night (April 6), Matt gave a word of knowledge that someone had been wounded and stabbed in the heart by words. I knew that was me. I was led to the Lord and got saved. Matt called me out and prayed for me twice, and said that there was a great and beautiful calling on my life. I was then slain in the Spirit twice. My life has never been the same, I have grown closer to God and have been filled with the Holy Spirit. I also thank God for Ronnie (Veronica) Sorger, because I really needed her at times and she would always be there for me and pray me through. I have found true happiness."

11."On Tuesday night (April 6), Matt gave a word of knowledge that someone had been having toothaches and to come forward. I knew it was me& I accepted my healing and have not had the toothache since. Thank you Jesus for all your blessings."

12."During the conference, God healed me emotionally and took away the bitterness I had due to abuse. God healed my mouth and my stomach."

13."I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia after my blood sugar level kept dropping to 27 (normal range is 70-115); this was happening almost daily. All during the conference I kept praying that God would heal me. During the Thursday night service (April 8), as Matt was praying, I felt a wind brush my fingertips and then fire in my veins (Matt had previously instructed the ushers to cut off the air conditioners because the wind of the Spirit was going to blow through). Then Matt said God was healing someone who was diabetic right then. I claimed it, and my blood sugar level has not been lower than 103 since then. Praise the Lord! Not only did God physically heal me, but my spirit is renewed."

14."Matt spoke a word to me on Sunday night, April 4. He said that the Lord was saying I should run toward the call of God in my life, not away from it. He anointed my hands for the work. On Wednesday morning, April 7, I was disturbed during my prayer time by the door bell. I was also watching Matt's video about the "Tsunami Wave Rally." Our local pest control serviceman had come for our regular spraying. I wanted to get rid of him and get back to my prayer time. However, after asking him how he was doing, he began to tell me about his back pain and loss of sleep at night. I asked if I could pray for him, and he agreed. I placed my hands on his lower back and prayed, feeling nothing. However, this man was surprised at what he experienced. He said to me, "You would not believe the heat that came from your hands into my back." He felt the bones in his back pop, and felt that his back was healed. I was more surprised because I felt no heat flowing through my hands. I knew then the anointing on my hands was real, regardless of my feelings. This word given by Matt was true. This word changed my life and opened my eyes to a deeper truth."

15."On April 4, I was healed of asthma. About five minutes before Matt said God wanted to heal someone of asthma, I started having an asthma attack. As Matt was praying over me, I felt like God was breathing into my lungs. Then as I fell under His power, it felt like my lungs were numb. Then on Thursday night (April 8), Matt said, "God is healing someone of chest pains right now." I had also been suffering from chest pains for several months, and the doctor wanted me to see a heart doctor. When Matt spoke that word, it felt like a fire in my chest and like someone was reaching in and fixing the pain. I'm healed in Jesus' Name!"

EASTER SIGNS & WONDERS CONFERENCE – REPORT TWO
What a time we had during our Easter Signs and Wonders Conference at Voice of Praise Worship Center in Bluefield, WV. I must say that this has been one of the best conferences we've been a part of. Pastor Andy Byrd, a new part of our extended ministry family on the road, along with his ministry team and staff did a superb job in organizing the conference. There were at least 30 churches represented during the conference. With six nights of meetings there was a tremendous regional impact made in West Virginia. I hope you enjoy the reports. May they spark new faith in your heart for the supernatural and the miraculous. I pray even as you read that the healing virtue of Christ would come right through this computer screen into your life and family! God bless you and hope to see you in a future conference.

SUNDAY KICK-OFF – THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY
Sunday morning started our Easter Signs and Wonders Conference at Voice of Praise Worship Center in Bluefield, WV. Matt ministered on Christ's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Matt expounded on some great truths from this historic account found in Luke 19. The congregation corporately invited the King of Glory to come in to our midst.
1. The Son of Man, the King of Kings made His triumphal entry on a donkey. He sent His disciples to loose the donkey and bring it to Him. If anyone was to ask them why they were doing this their response was to be "Because the Lord has need of it." Still today the Lord is looking for someone who will carry His Glory. All He needs is a donkey. When the Lord finds that man or woman who will carry His glory He says "Loose that one and bring them to me. I have need of them." The Lord has need of you today. He calls you by name and looses you from the bondage of sin and the world so you can carry His glory into the earth as a humble servant.
2. God's looking for radical worshippers. The Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke His disciples for crying out in worship. Religious people will always be offended by true worship. But Jesus said "If they don't cry out, the rocks will." One way or another Jesus will get the worship He deserves from His creation. If we don't cry out, the rocks will.
3. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they didn't recognize the time of their visitation. Matt exhorted the church not to miss their moment of visitation. When Jesus came on the scene many of the religious leaders of the day were looking for a Messiah that would come as a conquering king. They didn't understand that He had to first come as a suffering servant. Because of their preconceived ideas they missed their moment of visitation even when the Lord Himself came in the flesh and walked among His own people. We must not miss our moment of visitation! Be on guard against religious thoughts and mindsets that can keep you from experiencing the fullness of what God has for you. Good intentions are not enough. We must have a pure heart that seeks after God.
During the altar call there was even a spontaneous wave of healing released with 2 backs instantly healed!
SUNDAY NIGHT – HEALING REVIVAL IN THE LAND!
Sunday night Matt ministered on The Healing Revival being released in the earth today with the demonstration of signs and wonders not only in the church but in the streets where the lost are. There was a mighty impartation released in to the people who were hungry to move in the fullness of God's miracle power.
FREEDOM NIGHT!!!
Monday night was FREEDOM night! The Lord spoke to Matt before the service that prison doors would be opened that night. God was setting His people free to soar like eagles. He was calling them to step out of their past and into their future. There was such a move of the Spirit Matt didn't get to preach. The altar was full of people hungry to go to the next level. What a mighty wave of healing and deliverance was released. Many were not only healed but delivered from demonic oppression.
The Lord spoke to Matt about those who were involved in abusive relationships. Ten women responded with many receiving a great deliverance from the Lord. Women were set free from fear, rejection, anger and emotional baggage from their past. It was glorious.
One woman testified to feeling a hand go inside her back and pull out a spirit of rejection from her chest. She was so gloriously delivered she said all the heaviness lifted off her chest and she could breath normally and felt light.
Other women testified to also being set free.
"I was healed from emotions from abusive relationships in the past. God took my bitterness away!"

Matt also discerned a spirit of suicide and depression afflicting some people in the congregation. Four people responded to struggling with suicidal thoughts. The power of God ministered freedom, healing and deliverance to them.
There were also many testimonies of healing.
A young boy testified to a lump being removed from the back of his neck during worship.
"I had a growth on the back of my neck due to a fall. I was diagnosed with a fractured neck. We were worshipping God and I felt a great heat in the back of my neck. The lump is gone!"

A young girl who had ¼ of her lung collapsed felt a tingling in her lung during worship and believed the Lord healed her.
There was a doctor who was healed of deafness in his left ear. The Lord balanced out the sound between both of his ears and opened up his left ear. He said he had not been able to hear his nurses well. God opened up his ear so he could hear.
There was another girl healed of asthma. Matt had called out a word of knowledge for asthma and the power of God came upon her. She was able to run around the sanctuary without needing her inhaler!
"The doctor had said that it wasn't a curable thing and I had to use an inhaler for attacks. When Matt was praying over me I felt like God was blowing breaths into my lungs. I was also able to dance in praise to God without having trouble breathing at all. I'm healed in Jesus name!"

Matt had another word of knowledge for a knee being healed. As he called it out a young man's injured knee popped and was instantly healed!
There was also a mighty outpouring on the young people present in the meeting that night.

EASTER SIGNS & WONDERS CONFERENCE - REPORT THREE
ANGELS SENT ON ASSIGNMENT TO BRING BACK PRODIGAL SONS AND DAUGHTERS – GET READY FOR HOUSELHOLD SALVATION!
God continued to move in miraculous ways. Tuesday night we had a special youth emphasis with many young people responding to the moving of the Spirit. The meeting began with a powerful time of worship during which Matt saw a vision of a multitude of angels being sent into the service. He could see them flying around in circle formation over the people getting ready to be sent out on their commission from the Lord. He also saw many more coming in down the isles of the church marching in perfect formation. They were warring angels being sent on assignment by the word of the Lord to help bring back prodigal sons and daughters. Matt began to prophecy about household salvation coming THIS YEAR! Sons and daughters that had strayed from God would be drawn back by the Holy Spirit. Matt could see the glory of God filling entire households this year. The congregation moved into a time of corporate prayer commissioning the host of heaven to go forth on their assignment.
A GENERATION OF FORERUNNERS
After this time of prayer, Matt ministered on touching the flame of God and becoming a forerunner for revival. He shared prophetically what God is doing in this younger generation. The Lord spoke to Matt before the service that He was passing the torch to this generation and that many would be sent out to the nations to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. Matt exhorted the people from the lives of Moses, John the Baptist and Elijah. He shared how the flame of God burns in the wilderness place where the Lord prepares those who will be a voice for Him. The wilderness is not only a place of testing where you come out in power, but it is also a place of consecration, separation and intimacy with God where you hear His voice and become a forerunner of what He is doing in the earth.

MASS BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
As young people ran to the altars to respond to the word of the Lord the power of God came mightily upon them. Then a young child about 3 years old came up to Matt to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As Matt prayed for him the Holy Spirit quickened Matt to open the altars for all who wanted to receive the baptism. There were at least ten young people powerfully filled with the Spirit with the gift of tongues being released in them along with an impartation of other spiritual gifts. There were also several adults filled with the Spirit for the first time as well. It was a powerful night with many lives impacted by God's presence and power.
Matt received some words of knowledge for the young people that some had grown up in an atmosphere of harsh, angry words and as a result there are times they struggle with anger. Many young people responded and were set free from the anger they felt in their hearts.
"Your ministry came to my church, Voice of Praise Worship Center, April 4 - 9. It was called the Easter Signs and Wonders Conference. I wanted to say thanks to Matt for helping my friends and I. We are youths at the church. One of my friends has been having a lot of problems with cutting herself and emotional problems at home. Ever since Sunday night, the first night that Matt was there, she's been a whole lot happier. She finally got a real relationship with God and Jesus. So have many other of my friends. My mother was healed of her stomach when she came and of the bitterness she had toward my father. Tuesday was the day when Matt focused on the youth. I finally got to know God for real and I stopped hating my brother. Although I say it was one of the worst days of my life...it was also the best. I stayed up that night and prayed for everyone I knew. I thanked God for sending Matt to our church and I cried myself to sleep (tears of joy). It was the best week of my life. I thank Matt and his parents soooo much for what they did."

GOD'S WILL TO HEAL
Wednesday night Matt ministered on God's Will to Heal. He brought the congregation through both the Old and New Testament and proved by the Word of God that it was God's heart and desire to make His people completely whole. Many in the congregation received an impartation of faith as the Holy Spirit quickened the truth of God's word to their hearts.

MANY RECEIVE A POWERFUL HEALING TOUCH!
There was a powerful move of the Spirit during the healing altar call.
"I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was taking muscle relaxers, a mild antidepressant, and pain pills. I have suffered with this since 1993. I felt the power of God like waves go through my body and the tension in my muscles began to leave. As Matt said "Fibromyalgia, I command you to leave her body in the name of Jesus," all the tension and pain in my muscles left. I became totally relaxed with no more pain. I have had chronic pain in my body for the past 25 years. I thank God and give Him the praise!"

"Several years ago I rolled a mowing tractor down a hill and was thrown onto the ground. I suffered a broken shoulder and collar bone and then the nerves all down my spine began to cause me pain, even down in my feet. After this I slipped and fell causing more injury to my spine. Praise God through His wonderful grace He healed my pain. I slept all night with no medication after having years of pain. My spine seemed to have little fingers working up and down my spine all night long. Praise God, I give Him all the glory!"

EASTER SIGNS & WONDERS CONFERENCE REPORT FOUR
AT 9PM MY POWER WILL FLOW THROUGH THIS PLACE!
God's presence and power increased to an even higher level the last two nights of the conference. Each night we had between 15-20 churches represented from across the West Virginia region as well as from several other states, including Florida. All together I would say there were at least 30 churches represented. God blesses the unity of His people!
It was around 8:30pm when God spoke to Matt that He was going to move in a special way at exactly 9:00pm. After an hour and a half of worship already, Matt continued to lead the congregation deeper into His presence. As the congregation lifted their voices in worship, the manifested power of the Holy Spirit swept through the sanctuary at exactly 9:00pm. People all across the sanctuary could feel the fire of God burning in their bodies and some felt the wind of the Spirit blow over them. The tangible healing presence invaded the air. Matt began to call out various words of knowledge the Lord was healing. As testimonies were called for, people came streaming down to the altars to share how God had healed them. We had people lined up from one end of the altar all the way to the other end. As they shared their testimonies the power of God would them come upon them again with many deeply touched by the Holy Spirit.

AT LEAST 25 PEOPLE!
Here are some of the healings people shared as they came forward to testify:
"I had suffered from back pain in my lower back. I feel it when I lift heavy things, such as when I do heavy lifting at my job. The healing in my back was like a burning relief in my lower back. Then my back was so eased like I could bend down and touch my toes. And I could move a lot better than I had been. I could not pick up much heavy stuff because sharp pains would go through my back and now thanks to my Father in Heaven the pain has gone away!"

"The chest pain is gone! I've had it for 3-4 years. I've had surgery and had a splint put in my chest. It was like a real hot feeling went through me and all the pain is gone!"
"Just before you called out chest pains the power of God hit me. About 3 months ago my chest was hearting real bad. The doctors were going to send me to a heart specialist if the pain didn't go away. Right before you said chest pain my chest started burning and it felt like something real hot was being poured over me. I feel like I'm healed in the name of Jesus!"
"I've had pains in my knees for the past several weeks. The pain just went away! I couldn't lift my leg before without pain."
"I hurt my shoulders by working out. I got this warm tingling feeling in my shoulders and now I can move it with no more pain."
"When I was 6 I had a bicycle accident. I flipped and hit a tree and it messed up my disks. I felt this warm heat and now it doesn't hurt anymore. It hurt all the time before."
"I've had headaches really bad. When you called it out my head started shaking and all the pain left!"
"I had really sharp pains in my chest like someone was stabbing me. The moment you called out chest pains, I felt a burning in my chest and felt extremely better the moment you said it."
"I just got over pneumonia and have had trouble breathing. It felt really warm and I started to breathe really well. It surprised me. I didn't expect it to happen."
"I fell a week ago and hurt my thigh and knee and twisted it. It was hurting and I've been limping on it. When you said "physical pain" all the pain went away."
"I've had pain in my shoulder and right arm for years. But it's all gone!"
"I felt a ray of sunshine go through my entire body. My mom has had Chrome's Disease and I've been really worried. But now I feel like I don't have anything to worry about."
"I fell down the stairs two weeks ago and dislocated my shoulder. I had knocked myself out I fell so hard. I felt the fire come on me like a real heavy heat. Then I could move my shoulder forward with no more pain."
"I had diabetes and felt the electricity of God go through me. When you called out diabetes I was praying for God to heal me."
"I've had a bad back for years. Since I was senior in high school I've had arthritis. When I walked in here I could hardly stand. The Holy Sprit went through me and the pain is completely gone. It's fabulous!"
"I had invited my friend and was interceding for him because he had chronic back pain. But I've had back pain and abdominal pain for about 5 years and just when we were worshipping the Lord, the Lord told me to tarry for Him and a surge of power came over me releasing and moving every infirmity out of my body. All the pain is gone from my abdomen, back and leg. The doctor said I had rheumatoid arthritis and anglo-spinanitus. But all the pain is gone!"
"I closed my eyes and raised my hands and my hands have been hot! I know God has touched me."
"I've had fibromyalgia for 10 years and this arm had been hurting for about 6 months and the pain just left. I also had tumors in my colon like you mentioned and in my abdomen area. All the pain just went away!"
"I felt tingling in my finger tips and the power of God going through my body. I know I've been healed!"
"I felt fire go through my right leg. I had hurt it and pulled a muscle. Now I can move it with no more pain."
"I've been diabetic since I was five. Where my pump is it's been hot."
CELL PHONE HEALINGS
There was such a strong healing anointing present that after receiving these testimonies we sent the healing command via cell phone to many who were sick at home. The power of God moved through the airwaves and touched those on the other end. There is no time or distance in the Spirit. Testimonies started to come back of people on the other end being touched by the power of God!
FAITH FOR CREATIVE MIRACLES
After this incredible wave of healing Matt ministered on Faith for Creative Miracles. Many were deeply encouraged in their faith through this message. Matt exposed some of the misconceptions of what faith is. The truth of God's word set many free from striving and refocused their attention on the Author and Perfector of their faith, Jesus Christ. Matt shared on the secret of real faith and how this kind of faith can truly move mountains and heal every sickness. Matt also shared on how to obtain this kind of faith. BODIES WERE LYING ALL OVER THE CHURCH SANCTUARY, FOYER AND OVERFLOW ROOM!
