Alo Dua, Turkey - A Big Carpet & 13000 New Testaments

Thank you for praying, and welcome to a celebration of our awesome God, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. Ascribe to the Lord the glory of His Name! We arrived on the island at 7 a.m. with 13,000 NTs and a big carpet. The Books were loaded on four horse carts, and brought halfway up the hill. Fortunately that early in the morning, there were no police around, and our team of 30 people began to carry the Books up the pilgrimage path one box at a time some carrying two. We were 7 Turkish believers and 23 foreigners. Some of the team worked exceptionally hard bringing all the Books up the hill by 9:00. We promptly started giving out NTs, and laid out the carpet so we could pray for people. From 9:00 steady till 7 p.m. we were praying for people s needs. We prayed for over 2,000 people and gave out all 13,000 NTs!
Two deaf came in the prayer line, and the one lady began to grin and nod eagerly after she was laid hands on exclaiming that her ears had been opened! Another person began to continuously yawn, as they were being prayed for and later was overheard telling their friend that they were better now because a demon had been cast out of them.
We prayed for people individually, and in groups of 20-50 at a time. The TV cameras showed up and took many pictures. One newspaper had the picture of some from our group and the Alo Dua booktable on their front page. Two TV channels included us in that day s newscasts. One head-covered lady was very angry and began to shout, You missionaries should get out of our country! All of us immediately began to pray, and the crowd began to rebuke this lady and say that we are helping people. And if she doesn t like it she should be the one to go away.
When people prayed the prayer of salvation, some had visions of Jesus, saw a Man in white, some felt pain leaving, and heat in their bodies, shaking & One had a dream of Jesus three days earlier. One saw a cross all lit up.
Many were watching as people were being prayed for. Some people fell to the carpet which we had brought. Some said we were using neo-energy . Others were saying, Is it bio-energy? Others were asking, Which energy do you have? And I preached to the crowds saying that we only do what is in the Bible. It is our absolute rule for life. One person said their stomach was burning. They had stomach illness. They took some oil that we were using, and rubbed it on their stomach. Over two hundred people fell to the ground when they were prayed for. Some cried, some sobbed as they received prayer.
Some testimonies from the team:
Nilva - A lady had asthma. We shared about Jesus. She fell while being prayed for. All of a sudden, she started coughing, and breathing hard (like an asthma attack?). We prayed and prayed and prayed. She became more quiet. Healing came. I feel so well! Thank you very much! Paula and I prayed for another lady. She has many problems: had a very strong headache, pain in stomach, husband left her, alone with children. Immediately fell down. Her friends were telling us about her situation. Had a demon. She was groaning. Pray. Pray. Pray. Shaking. Got freedom. Her face changed.
Vicki - Asli, 20 years old, had a dream of Jesus. Three days ago, I had a dream I saw Jesus on the cross. Then, I saw me on the cross. After that I saw Him so beautiful. I was with Him. Her face changed as she shared this. Do you know what that dream means? Yes. That s why I m here. It means that He died for me and now I need to die for Him. All the things in my past I died to so I could follow Him. Turn away all the stuff in my life. Do you really want to do this? Yes! That s why I m here. I know I m a sinner and He is the Son of God. The Holy Spirit came and touched her!
Melanie - The one thing that I noticed was that upon receiving the Book, many, many opened it immediately and looked at the pages and found the ALO DUA card inside, then checking their friends NTs to make sure they had one too. Some came back to the table to pick up a few more cards with the phone number to call for prayer. -
Henny - As I was praying for a person they asked me to pray specifically for their knee and leg. I really had a strong sense of faith in my heart that God was going to heal her. Partly because I saw such faith on her. As we prayed she yelled and said that her knee was better and started kissing me and throwing kisses in the air. A little later she brought a bunch of friends and asked me to pray for them. Her excitement was so contagious.
Jean - A young woman was standing at the edge of the crowd, she had already been prayed for. She had felt power, like electricity, enter her as she had been prayed for and asked me what it was. I told her that God had come and that he was real. When I told her that God loved her she began to cry and I realized that God had not finished with her yet. As I reassured her again of God's love she told me that she had come to the island to make a documentary and had been skeptical until she recognized that we were showing love and compassion to those we were praying for. As an ex-Muslim she had never felt love from Muslims but had felt loved by Christians in Germany where she now lived. I explained the Gospel to her and asked her if she wanted to accept Jesus into her life. I then led her to the Lord in prayer.
Joy - When one deaf and mute man was prayed for, a different man suddenly felt a release of God s power come over his body. His heart began beating rapidly. This young man was obviously shaken. He told me that it was possible that he could have a curse or a demon. I told him to read his NT and pray in order to stay free. He and his mother agreed and want to come to the ALO DUA prayer center. One lady started seeing black spots. She fell and I rebuked the demon. She suddenly opened her eyes and excitedly said, It s gone! I told her that God was going to start filling her with His love. She began to smile widely. Again she opened her eyes and said, I see white light!
Levy - Another gave this testimony to the crowd. They told the crowd they had come to last year s outreach for prayer because of a tumor. Later when they went to the doctor he told them the tumor was gone! So this year they brought their friend for prayer.
We are so amazed and thankful to the Lord for what He is doing! We are so grateful to you for partnering with us, and standing together - that His Name will be glorified in this 98.6 % Muslim country! We are indebted to you all as we work together to lift up the Name of Jesus. We are humbled and excited to continue to see the Lord touch people! Please continue to uphold us, especially in this time. Jesus had compassion as He prayed for people may compassion be our trademark!
