Over 50,000 hear the Gospel and 4,500 make decisions for Christ.
· 1,200 made first time decisions for Christ.
· More than 500 pastors and leaders attend four conferences
· Reports of healings: At least three reported cases of "hearing" healing, many healed of pain, tumors, Asthma, etc.
Dear Friends:
I arrived in Lexington yesterday late afternoon after a whole day of traveling from India.
I find myself exhausted in strength, but exhilarated in my spirit as I review my whole experience in India and Pakistan. The words of the Apostle Paul come to my mind, "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service…The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with faith and love that are in Christ Jesus." I Timothy 1:12 & 14
Pakistan: After my ministry in Sialkot (home of John Hyde in Pre-Pakistan) where 15,000 attended the three day gathering. I went to Gujarat city and Daska city for one-day meetings in each of these cities. We had approximately 1000 in attendance in each place. Over 220 people made decisions in both places. Though more than this amount indicated a decision, we narrowed the decisions to only "first-time" commitments. Among those that came for prayer at the end of the meeting, many reported to have also received healing in their bodies. Jesus of Nazareth is still at work in the lives of many, proving that he is mighty God.
I remain thankful to Anwar Younas and his team for inviting me to Pakistan for a great harvest. I am also thankful to Bishop Samuel Pervez and to the Church of Pakistan for its cooperation in our harvest. More than 50 pastors from mainline churches, Pentecostal and interdenominational churches participated in this great harvest.
India: I left Pakistan on the 5th via the famous Waga border between Pakistan and India. Pastor Ajit Das and Ashok picked me up from the India border to take me to Amritsar. Ashok is a new believer, a Hindu convert. He has been a Christian only for 14 months. Already he has been winning souls among his friends and family members. More than 40 seekers gather in his home weekly for a prayer meeting. God is using this young man mightily to win many souls in his community.
You Do not Have to know the Language to be a Witness.
My train from Amritsar to Delhi was not until 5 hours later, so Ashok invited me to spend a few hours in his home while I waited. Once at his home, Ashok showed me an upper room (very scriptural). While I rested at his home, the Lord instructed me to impart to Ashok a measure of anointing into his life. God also specifically gave me a scripture to give him and his family. So I asked Ashok to gather up his family for a prayer meeting. Now the question was, how do I communicate the message? My Hindi is limited and my Punjabi is nil (in Punjab they speak Hindi and Punjabi). Nevertheless, I asked Ashok to read Ezekiel 47. After he read the first few verses about the River of Life, I asked in my broken Hindi what the scripture was saying, inspired by the Holy Spirit, Ashok took it from there. For the next few minutes I watched him masterfully communicate the message from the text to his family. I high lighted the main thought in my broken Hindi and suggested we pray. I felt led to begin with Ashok, as I prayed, I asked God to let the River of Life to flow from Ashok to his family, friends, and neighbors. Instantly, he came under the power of the Spirit and collapsed on the bed nearby. A few moments later I asked him to pray for his brother who had been ill with an illness related to his Spleen. (This illness had been frustrating to him as it remained incurable even after visiting many hospitals and clinics.) As Ashok and I laid hands on his brother to ask the Lord to heal him, the River of Life began to flow freely into his brother. Ashok’s brother was instantly healed, he reported that he had a noticeable change in his body. When his spouse saw that her husband was healed, she too stepped forward and asked for prayer to heal her body of some illnesses. I closed my eyes and began praying for her, then I stretched my hands to place it upon her head, only to find her no where in my reach. She simply was not there. I opened my eyes to look, and there she was already on the ground under the power of God. She too received a healing touch from God. The whole family was thrilled at the manifest power of God and gave thanks for what God had done that day in their midst. God demonstrated to this family that night that he is a powerful God, and that he was able to show the local devotees of idol gods, that he was greater than all their gods. Through this family many are going to believe in Jesus Christ and serve a living God. Pray for this family as they witness the presence and power of Jesus Christ in a city known for its temples and idol gods.
Binnypet, Bangalore Meetings Proceed In Spite of Opposition and Rainy Weather
Bangalore is a mega city with over 6 million people living in it. For many years we had been considering how to reach such a large city. God showed us that we should take the city and break it up to several regions. Instead of doing one mega meeting for the city, we have opted to do several small meetings in key regions of the city thus covering the entire city in a matter of few years. There is much opposition to the Gospel in this city. One of the organizing pastors, Pastor Raj Kumar had received threatening calls, most of them warning him to cancel the meetings or face harm. The day before the meetings, we gathered to dedicate and pray over the grounds. As we prayed, God enabled Warren to see with his natural eyes, Angels posted all over the grounds. This is not the first time he has seen such a sight. It was very encouraging to take note of God’s favor and protection even as we began the meetings. With God and his Angels watching over us, we were emboldened to be a witness for Christ in Bangalore.
For the last few days it had been raining day and night. A cyclone depression in the area had caused these severe weather conditions. As we started the meetings the first day, the rains did not come. More than 2000 gathered the first day and eagerly listened to the message. When I gave the invitation, more than 400 stepped forward to make decisions for Christ. Only 191 filled out the decision cards. The next day God gave us favorable weather and again 2000 attended the meetings. At the close of the meetings another 186 people filled out the cards to indicate their decision to follow Christ. On the final night, more than 2500 people came to the meetings though it had rained earlier. In spite of impending weather patterns of rain, people came. As I headed towards a closing, the rains poured. I was not about to let up to give in. I figured if people wanted Jesus desperately, they would come even if it poured rain. Yes, they came, they came in the rain, stood there with hundreds, praying the sinner's prayer. More than 100 people prayed to receive Jesus into their hearts in the rain. One decision they will never forget. Children, adults, old and young, they all stood there praying to be set free from the clutches of the devil. It thrilled my heart to see the hunger and passion people have for Jesus in these parts of the world. Truly, it is a beautiful sight to behold people desperate for Jesus.
Each night many stepped up on the platform and reported to receiving healing from God. Some who were deaf began to hear, those with tumors, pain and other illness, reported that they received healing. One Hindu man testified that he came reluctantly to the meeting grounds and as he stood listening to the message, he felt better. Later when I asked those that wanted prayer for healing to pray, he prayed and he too received healing along with several others.
Pastor’s Conferences. We held two one-day conferences for pastors in Bangalore and spoke at one of the pastor’s monthly fellowship meetings. In all more than 300 pastors and leader were addressed. God gave me great favor as I encouraged and taught them from the word of God.
Pray for Warren, he is still in Goa, India preaching. The pastors there have gone crazy with him, he is having a ball there from what I understand. God used Warren in Pastor Yeshwant Kumar’s church. While I preached in the Binnypet meetings, Warren preached at Kumar’s Church. Pastor Kumar is the main organizer of our Bangalore meetings, without his help I would have been lost. I am very thankful for his coordination and facilitation of the meetings in Bangalore.
God has been good to me, his grace and favor has been rich towards me. I have seen many wonderful things both in Pakistan and India. More than 50,000 have heard the message of the gospel and 4,500 made decisions for Christ. 1,200 decisions can be counted as first time decisions. The word of God was preached, it came with deep conviction, and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. Glory be to God! I feel like Paul, an unworthy servant. Yet used by God to given much favor. I am indebted to all of you who prayed for me night day and supported this ministry. Your gifts towards this ministry has been meaningful and useful. More than 4,500 responded to the preaching of the gospel. What a great investment in these souls! Thank you my friends! I am very blessed to have great friends like you. Please keep my family and me in your prayers as I recuperate from this travel.

P.S: In Pakistan the organizers went over by $2,500 of the approved budget ($5,000). Factors such as the havoc caused by rain on the first day, 5,000 more in attendance, and related mismanagement of funds contributed to this problem. The organizers took upon themselves to resolve $500 and a local businessman agreed to pay another $500 and I was left to pay $1,500. The only option I had left was to turn to my Visa Credit Card.
Those of you who have been in such a situation know what a stressful time it can be. Thankfully the Lord got me out of that with the swipe of a card. Please pray that God will help me cover this debt in due time.
