India and Pakistan Follow up News
Pastor Tony (pastor of one of the churches that participated in the Binnpypet, Bangalore Festival) reports that more than 3 families have joined his church in the last few weeks after the Festival.

Rajan, In His Own words
Rajan (pseudo name) an autorickshaw driver (mini three-wheeler cab) was hired to publicize our meetings. His cab was rigged with a PA system and an announcer was placed in the vehicle, they would go street to street inviting people to attend the Festival. Rajan go deeply involved in the publicity and attended the meetings each night. After the meetings he would come to the platform for prayer, or simply to be around me. According to him, something came over him that he couldn’t resist coming to the meetings. You see Rajan was the local ‘rowdy’ or ‘hoodlum’, everyone knew well this character. He was often hired to beat up others or provide security for some. People feared this man. Rajan says he was over come by the presence of God, in fact in his own words, "there as a fire that touched me and I became deeply convicted of my sins and my evil ways. I felt an irresistible force guiding me to change my ways. Each night after the meeting when I went home, I was restless. Finally one night I knelt down and prayed, I asked God to forgive me and make me a child of God. Instantly, I found a change come over me….One day I walked with a knife in one hand, but today I walk with a Bible in my hand." Rajan’s wife and children welcomed the new man with great joy. Rajan told me that the children like the new loving father and his wife also feels the same. At a recent follow up meeting Rajan shared this testimony. Wow! This is the power of the Gospel. Power to save ‘hoodlums’ like Rajan.
The other day, some of his old friends came by and threatened him for forsaking them. In fact one of them wanted to beat him up. But Rajan was steadfast in his faith and witnessed to him about the change God had brought in his life. Rajan’s life truly stands as a testimony in his hamlet; there is a God who takes bad people and makes them good.
Man on the Way to Commit Suicide Meets Christ
Ravi was walking by the grounds where our Festival was being held, the bright lights and music attracted him. He was on his way to end his life. He was through with his miserable life and was planning to commit suicide that night. God drew him to the meetings. As he sat in the presence of God, his thoughts were changed. He came forward when I gave the invitation call and prayed to receive Christ in his life. He rushed home to tell his wife what had transpired that evening. His wife later reported to the pastor with tears of joy, what God had done for her husband and that she was happy to have a changed man in her life. Now, this whole family attends a church and is living a new life. What an awesome God! Once again the power of the Gospel is seen here to bring us from death to life.
This is a story from the January Meetings in Bangalore, my home city.
Shankar, a teenage boy was brought to the meetings by my uncle Deena. His parents are good friends of my uncle and they had confided in him the troubles that this young man was causing. He was into drugs, alcohol and other evil ways. His education and relationship with his parents were suffering as a result. Somehow he conceded to come to the meetings with my uncle. On that particular day I shared my testimony and related to the crowds how God had changed me. What was interesting to this young man was, I was from the same town as he was, I was the same age (during my crisis) as he was. The message was driven home, right to his heart. That night he prayed to trust Christ and change his ways. I had no idea of this even as he came to be prayed for. Upon my recent visit, my uncle related this story to me. My heart was deeply touched as I realized that there are so many young men like him in cities all over the world going through the same temptations I went through. Oh, how many still need to hear this gospel? So many families broken, so many young people without Jesus! Who will go? Who will tell them? Woe is me if I don’t preach the Gospel! Needs like this compel me to take the Gospel to the nations. I thank you for standing with me and praying for me as I preach the gospel. Together we reap a marvelous harvest and see lives transformed.
Pakistan Update
Following is a letter from Anwar Younas, evangelist who organized the meetings in Pakistan.
Dear Bhai Wesley.
Greetings And Love From Pakistan.
I have a great testimonies, you know my elder brother who brought his son at the end of meeting on the last day for prayer… that child had congenital problem … his two valves which should be closed were opened since his birth. We were very worried about his condition. Now when my brother took him to doctor at Islamabad for operation, you know, what the doctor said? The Valves have been closed and he confessed that it is a MIRACLE.
My whole family is in great joy and they all said that first I tell this news to you. Praise the Lord.
Another testimony, their is a young evangelist whose ministry has been stopped due to his wrong acts and he was thinking that he would not be able to minister. He said that the Lord has restored him. Now he is daily reaching out to the lost and winning souls. Amen and praise the Lord for His restoration.
People are sharing that they were really blessed by the festival.
