In the midst of an ever-darkening world the eternal purpose of God is being fulfilled. It is when the enemy comes in like a flood that the Spirit of the Lord raises a standard against him. Many are talking of all the negative things going on. Yet there are many great things happening at the same time that most of us never hear about.
Here are just a few testimonies of the Lord's work in Zimbabwe.
1. We have just finished holding a crusade in Zengeza (a suburb of Harare the capital). By 'God-incident' four other crusades were going on at the same time in the same suburb of Chitungwiza. The police in Zengeza informed us on the Friday of the crusade that for the entire week of the crusade not even a single arrest had had to be made in the whole of Zengeza. This is unheard of and demonstrates the living power the gospel of Jesus Christ has to transform whole communities.
2. During this crusade nearly 400 adults gave their lives to the Lord (absolutely wonderful!!!!!) and a woman with a totally blind eye was instantly healed. Many other miracles took place but space does not permit me to tell them all.
I personally had a man come to me during the crusade who openly confessed a life of crime. I could see he was broken. He realized his deep need for Jesus and received him right there and then.
3. Churches in the nation are rapidly growing at the moment. Many pastors from different areas have told me that they are having to do nothing to reach the lost.
They (many of them drunkards, prostitutes etc) are simply walking in saying " we need Jesus!".
One pastor in Harare said to me that in all his years of ministry he has never seen this happening before. In his particular church, just in the last few weeks nearly 40 people have come to the Lord this way.
4. Martin Bernard a pastor in Harare told me that he has baptized 110 former members of certain white-garment groups in the Norton area in a matter of a few weeks. Whole groups have been saved and burnt their white garments. His plea now is for bibles as non of them have any. 5. A woman from Mabvuku who was confirmed HIV positive and had meningitis was discharged from hospital unable to walk or talk so that she could go home and die. Lindani Dube a Zimbabwe For Jesus evangelist was called to her house. After prayer she was instantly healed, leapt off the bed and began to shout, "It's gone, it's gone!"
When she went back to the doctor's surgery two days later he was confounded and told her so! After hearing her testimony he sent her for an AIDS test. They did the test twice just to make sure. Both times were negative. This is a medically proven miracle of the Lord!
I am sure if we were to hear of all the Lord is doing in Zimbabwe we would be amazed.
I pray that these few incidents telling of God's grace will encourage you to keep serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is Lord of all.
