A Wondrous Thing Was Witnessed In Tulare Recently
June 18, 2004
Oh, the freedom of worship that comes in Tulare. All are invited to join in. All are welcome to dance as the Lord leads. The church is full of flags for any to use. It is such an experience to watch the shyness, the wonderment that comes over people when they see the flags, some being introduced to this type of worship for the first time. To watch them pick up the flags and begin to move with them; watching the freedom that comes over them as bondages break off. A wondrous thing was witnessed in Tulare recently. The Presence of God was so tremendous in the sanctuary as usual. The people immersed in His Glory as always. But this time something different happened. One person stood and took up a set of flags. Then another, then another until three people were waving the flags in what appeared to be a very well practiced routine. As they danced with the flags another person walked into the middle of the threesome and drew a gold and silver sword. The atmosphere changed as the flags waved and the fourth person danced with the sword in the middle. You could feel the electricity in the air as the people begin to gasp and cry with the engulfing glory as it fell even stronger. The dance went on for the length of the song. Each dancer moving as if orchestrated in perfect unison, each dancer engulfed in His Glory with tears running down their faces as they were carried into the heavenly. The song ended and the people broke into applause onto the King of King. It wasn't until later that the fullness of what had just happened was revealed when someone asked the foursome how long had they practiced for such an awesome peformance. Each of the dancers looked at each other and for the first time spoke of either hearing God's voice telling them to start the flags or saw a vision of what was about to happen. The person with the sword usually didn't have the sword in hand during the services but had been handed the sword earlier and wasn't able to put it back where it belonged so just held it. The one with the sword then told of suddenly seeing a vision of someone dancing with a sword amongst the flaggers then hearing the Lord say, "now go do likewise". Some of the people around the foursome then begin telling of seeing words flying off the end of the sword. Some saw a white whirling cloud coming from the middle of the foursome and whirling around the room as if dancing. Oh, that there be total freedom in worship in our churches today. The Glory that we would experience as a result.
