Father, I desire!
In John 17:26, Jesus in speaking to His Father says, “I have revealed You to them and will keep on revealing You, so that Your love for Me may be in them and I in them.”
Just before Jesus went to the cross, He reflected on the deepest desire of His heart. That desire was and still is to have a bride who is completely consumed with love for Him. Bill and I want to be among those who reveal Jesus to the nations. Let the sweet aroma of the knowledge of God be manifested everywhere we go.
Bill just finished a week long conference in Jinja where many healings, salvations, and deliverances took place. This past weekend Bill was the guest speaker at an all day conference on Saturday in Busembatia, Uganda. The newspaper reported the city to be in drought-like conditions. During prayer and the preaching of the word, God opened the heavens in the natural and the heavy rains began.
Bill plowed hard all day Saturday and stirred up their spiritual hunger. On Sunday the spiritual rains began to fall on the desperate people. Over 100 church attending adults were moved with the compassion of Jesus. They committed to be willing to lay down their lives for the sake of the gospel. They promised to go if He says, “Go”. They just wanted to say, “Yes” to Jesus because the becoming bride the inheritance of Jesus.
Bill also challenged the pastors, leaders, and believers of Busembatia to offer their love to the people of Lira. The pastors encouraged the people to collect gifts. Many responded to the call and gathered many articles of clothing and shoes to be taken to Lira. Bill writes, “Churches have been pulling together in a love that I have not seen very often.” Cliff Pash has helped me to understand the significance of the generosity of the people. He said, “It is different from the people of Kansas helping the flood victims in Missouri. Over the past two weeks, there have been three or four pastor’s conferences.
Pastor Hudson writes, “I praise the Lord for what has been started in this town. Such a unity is forming among the pastors and leaders. This has never happened in Lugazi before.
Another testimony from Pastor Hudson, “Please, I thank God for this money that helped an orphan by the names of Ogwang Francis, to pay the school fees. This is one of the orphans of the church who are desperate and able to perform well in class, they are promising. Linda, this orphan is a student of Lugazi Progressive School, where you visited and talked to the whole school. His parents died of AIDS leaving him with two young brothers and one sister who are not going to school because of school fees.” $100 was given to pay for Ogwang’s term at school because of a young American boy, who saved his money in a jar and sent it with Bill to Africa to bless an orphan. A used bicycle was also presented to Ogwang for transportation. Pastor Hudson says there are many more just like him. The Christians believe God will rescue these little ones.
Tuesday morning at 05:00, the small team of pastors and government officials will be leaving for northern Uganda, Lira Town. Monday will be the day of preparation which includes finding a reasonable and reliable truck, purchasing massive amounts of food, and packing the clothing and linens for the trip. Thank you so much to all of you who were moved with compassion and were so generous to help provide for the people in the camps of war torn Lira.
Bill may be given radio time in Lira. His love is asking that we make a great investment in these people. I believe as Bill begins to sing over them that there will be healings manifested in the physical but mainly in the emotional and spiritual. I anticipate restoration as the people forgive their persecutors. I have such a deep burden and grieving in my spirit over these people. God has caused great travail to fall in this little prayer room of mine.
From the deepest part of my heart, I want to thank the intercessors. Uganda is being changed. You are responsible for the tearing down of the demonic Python spirit over the lives of these dear people. This spirit tries to squeeze the very life out of its victim.
Together let’s speak life to these little ones. Let God’s oil be poured out upon the wounded hearts. The orphan spirit needs to be broken off of them as well. They are not orphans. They have a Daddy and have been adopted as sons. They have been specially chosen by a loving God.
Intercessors sing the song of heaven. Let it go in the spirit to bring healing and refreshing. Pray protection as the danger will be great while traveling through rebel territory. Open the eyes of Your servants, Lord, let them see the heavenly hosts that surround them on the way! Surround them with your warring angels. Jesus bring Your salvation to the rebels. Let the Word of the Lord be heard in their camp. Greater is He that is within them that he that is in the world.
