God Moving In Rio Grande Prison
July 29, 2004
We spent last Saturday at the Texas state prison in Raymondville Texas. We were their from 8:30 in the morning to 4 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a very touching day for all of us who went and for the prisoners. God is real, everywhere. This was suppose to be a seminar, but it just turned into a special moment with God.
The people came in acting very religious and left with an understanding of who they are in Christ. We started to share with them about life and then the Holy Spirit just took over.
Ellen shared and the tears started to flow from there hearts first and then from there eyes. Bondage were being broken for the first time in there lives. Tough men who probably never cried in years were crying from there hearts.
Anna Lozano shared next and she touched there hearts when she said that she was a prisoner in here own house when she was young and sickly and her mom controlled her life. Many saw how they have been trapped for years because of how people controlled them and used them and how it had led to what they have done because of rebellion to control over them.
Then Pam Neeley, spoke with me and she shared how abused she was and how it controlled her life till even today and how she finally let go and got set free when she truly let go with her heart and was finally free.
These men started asking questions about how do they forgive people who hurt them deeper than they could ever imagine. But they did forgive and started to cry all throughout the room. Their lives have been changed and the freedom of God was all over them.
His victory was very prevalent in the room and almost all of them came up for prayer and were touched by His Glory. The peace in the room was tangible to each and every one of us. The Glory of God is real even in prisons when we let Him be who He wants to be.
For the last four days we have been at Word of God church in Harlingen Texas. This was the second time we had been here since we have been in the valley. God's presence is very strong in this church. All people wanted to do was just lay in His presence. People cried, people laughed and people were set free of many bondages in their lives.
One woman who the Lord showed me that He wanted to use her for healing, was at last nights service and her son kept on telling her that his wrist was hurting him and making a funny noise when he moved it. She has always held back from praying for people. Well, when he continued to complain, she grabbed the wrist and said in Jesus name be healed. This was the first time she ever did this. A few minutes later he told her that his wrist didn't hurt anymore and the noise was gone.
When we step out and get free of who we are and let go, He can use us the way that He wants to use us. Just move in His glory not the glory of man.
