Fresh Fire Missions Trip 2004 Los Cabos and La Paz Mexico
The author of this report, Brent Borthwick, is working with our ministry setting up crusades in Mexico. He shares his personal as well as a short report on the missions trip. The pictures of the supernatural phenomenon and angels speak for themselves. Team members came from all over Canada and the U.S.; some even came from Saudi Arabia. Some notable salvations included the senator of the state as well as two other government officials. One notable miracle was a boy born with Down's Syndrome perfectly healed.
As I am turning left into the stadium parking lot in Cabo San Lucas, my head is dizzy from the prophetic words Todd Bentley had just spoken to me during the 25 minute drive to the stadium. My mind was stretched just to make sure that there were no cars coming towards us as we made the turn. Here I am, a fifth generation Christian; my parents have been missionaries for over 50 years; I studied at Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Vancouver, BC in the early 80's and was later filled with the Holy Spirit in North Carolina. My dorm parents were Wes and Stacey Campbell at the time.
In 1989 God spoke to me in an audible voice to go into full time ministry. My wife Sharon and I immediately purchased a 40-foot sailboat, paid off a 20-year mortgage in 4.5 years and had 2 children (at the time—we now have three). In 1996 we quit our jobs and sailed off to Mexico to minister. We saw many miracles and salvations during those 8 years of ministry in Mexico and other countries of the world. In December 2000, God spoke to me audibly again and said three things that we were to do. The first was apostolic ministry; second, that we were not to travel alone, but instead take people with us, to raise them up and empower them into their God-given destinies; and third, to help forge unity in the churches. "Forget it Lord, unity in the churches is impossible!" I said.. But my wife told me that I must do what God had told me, even if it meant loosing our 8 years of ministry here in the Baja. So in obedience to God, and with a desire to heed my wife, we held our fist ever "Unity of Pastors" meeting in La Paz two weeks later! Wow, that was January 2001 and it has exploded in the cities since then!
Now, here we are with Todd Bentley driving into the parking lot of the stadium in Cabo for three nights of crusades, then on to La Paz stadium for another three nights of crusades. At this time I know that our ministry, Wind Word Ministries, was to network with Fresh Fire and what God is doing in their ministry. God had told us to move back to Abbotsford, B.C., Canada because He was going to pour out His fire on the city and spread it to the nations. We moved back to Abbotsford last December and started more and more itinerant preaching, seminars, etc. And guess what? Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire are also from Abbotsford! God has His awesome plan; we just need to be obedient to it.
As we stepped from the van, praise and worship in Spanish, like sounds from heaven, greeted our ears. We made our way into the stadium, and the expectations from the 2,500 plus people to see miracles, signs, and wonders were high. They had come from all over the city with the sick, lame, deaf, blind, and un-saved. The stadium was filled beyond its capacity as Todd made his way to the stage. The 87 youth on the Fresh Fire team that had come from around the world were sitting, standing, or laying on the floor with anticipation of what God is going to do. Todd started out immediately with prophetic words of healing and direct words of knowledge. The people that he called out started coming to the front; some healed on the way, others healed as he prayed for them. The buzz in the air was huge as people saw their friends, family, and relatives being healed before their very eyes. The lame were walking, the blind seeing, the deaf hearing and the un-saved committing their lives to Christ. This was day one of an incredible eight days of ministry!
During the meetings, the team took many pictures with different cameras, one being my camera. When I returned to the hotel room each night, I would download all the pictures into my lap-top. I discovered that an amazing thing had happened. I have over 90 pictures of the meetings covered with round, white, transparent Orbs (ministering Spirits). Some orbs even have faces in them and rainbow colors. We even captured a warrior angel on one of our pictures, and another type of angel on another picture. They are actually in the photographs! I have studied these pictures thoroughly and have ruled out dirty lenses, light refraction, broken cameras, etc. These are the real thing and God has revealed them to us in these pictures! I have had a many angelic visitations; Christ has visited me twice; but pictures?
Wow, we are in a time I believe to be un-precedented in history. God is calling His church together as His Spirit is being poured out. It is time for churches and ministries to network together so we can subdue this earth! Let's do it; let's do it together; let's do it for the Glory of God!
Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire have great vision, God's vision, and I am not getting left behind. It is time to get out of your boats and walk on the water. What do you think? Can you do it? Let's do it together! Fresh Fire is being poured out!
