Good Afternoon Friends
What an honor it is to serve the Risen Lord, to bring the Life of God into the world, to see His Power and His Authority and His Glory and His Presence coming into the world through the hands and through the mouths of His servants and His soldiers.
This is day 3 in Mwanza, Tanzania, on the Southern shores of Lake Victoria. It is in interesting city, built on many rocks and cliffs, the houses seeming to cling to the cliffs and the people often having to climb through the rocks to arrive at their homes.
The setting for the King of Glory International crusade is marvelous, like a movie set. The backdrop is a set of rock cliffs and houses right across the street from us, with mountains in the background. The setting is on a hill overlooking many houses. It can be seen easily from the highway.
Last night there were many salvations and many healings. One girl of nine years had been deaf for the past five years. She received her hearing back completely (100%). There were 3 others who received their hearing that had been deaf and dumb for their entire lives. There is some difficulty in them speaking for they had never spoken ever or heard words ever in their lives. We knew, however that they could now hear sounds and before God healed them they could not hear sounds. These last three struggled a little with the forming of sounds, but as one asked them to speak different sounds, they made different sounds which showed the entire crowd (3500+) that God had done a mighty miracle.
On our outreaches, I was able to speak to a bible college with about 35 students. I asked God to put within them a much greater vision as to why He had brought them to this school I spoke to them of the rising tensions in the world. I spoke to them of the amazing changes that are beginning to happen in the world. One of the most amazing things is that many Episcopal churches in the United States are beginning to affiliate with the Ugandan Anglican Church, looking to Africa for their Spiritual Leadership. This requires an amazing change of thinking on their part, for they have always been the receivers from the West and now they are beginning to be the Spiritual Leaders of some of the church in the United States.
I spoke to them of Esther, a women who was raised up for a specific time so that God could deliver His people through the words and the actions of Queen Esther. If she said NO!, Mordecai tells her that deliverance will come from another place, but that she and her people will die. She then prepared herself through fasting and prayer to go in and see the king. When she went in to see the king, she was fully prepared to die for the King of Glory.
The challenge then, are we the people of God ready to die? Have we been raised up for such a time as this? Are we ready to face death in order to speak the words of God and to bring deliverance and salvation to the people? There is a new day coming, a day of rising tensions and danger in the world. Are we being raised up for such a time as this?
Are we ready to walk so closely with our God, to walk in oneness with our God that we will speak the words that are being spoken in Heaven and to do the things that we have seen in Heaven? That His will would be done on the earth as it is being done in heaven? Can we find that oneness with our bridegroom in order to do the works of God as He would direct? Can it be us who will bring the glory of God to the earth at such a time as this? Will we walk into the jaws of death to speak those words?
Well, after that talk, the students began to cry out for all the power of Heaven in order to do the works of God. They poured out their love for their God and began to ask Him for His power and for His annointing. Some needed to repent in order that there be no barrier between them and their God. Some needed to have their doubt and their fear of the unknown in order to do the works of God.
They poured out their love and they were deeply touched.
I am going right now to day #2 of the Crusade. Kevin Basconi has been doing an amazing job and it is good to see just how much that God is using him. More on this tomorrow

Powerful Night in Mwanza #2

I wonder if we have any idea of that which we are called to do in this day and this hour. Is it true that the people of God are called to be the carriers of the very Salvation of God, the people who bring it to the world? I believe it is us who bring the healing of God to broken bodies, the freedom and cleansing of the conscience to the people who have had tremendous injustice occur in their lives and it is we who bring the good news of the Kingdom of God to those who have lost hope, to those who are filled with depression and to those who are desperate for the inner peace that comes with the "shalom" of God.
When we are not doing these things, how can it be said that we are producing the fruit the bible commands us to produce? Are not these the things that John the Baptist says are the fruits of repentance?
Last night, over 9000 people came to the crusade, we estimate it at 9,500. During the Salvation/Healing call, over 3200 came to the altar. During the time of salvation and healing prayer, before anyone ever laid hands on a single person, there were hundreds of healings. There were 45-50 lined up to bring a testimony of their healing to the stage. We could only bring up about 10 to have them testify to what it was that God had done.
There were several with tumors the size of a fist or an egg that had simply disappeared!! There were people who were partially paralized that moved with the ease of their youth. There was one who had their sight restored!!
There was in particular one young girl who was deaf. During the healign wave, she had her ears pop and her hearing retored!! She stands out because she was about 9 years old and standing on the stage with tears rolling down her cheeks and she had such a look of pure joy on her face and thankfulness for what God had done. What an honor it is to be the ambassador of God in a land known as Tanzania !!!
The crusade did not come easily. There seems to have been much warfare. For those who have been here, when the buzzards start to circle overhead, is often means something is happening in the spirit realm. We began to pray. Kevin could not find his place in his notes and the people were waiting patiently for him to continue the message our God had placed on his heart. We began to intercede.
Then a series of flocks of white birds began to fly from left to right across the rear of the grounds. I began to ask God for one of the flocks to fly right across the crusade grounds and the sixth one did!!! Then, when the seventh flock of white birds flew, the power of God began to flow with an annointing that was just amazing.
The power of God came upon Kevin and he began to preach in a way that I very seldom see. I was even more amazed. The seventh flock could signify the number of completion and the buzzards totally disappeared. We knew the warfare had been won. WE began to the Spirit of the Living God begin to manifest itself as is written above.
Then, to my total amazement, the eighth flock of white birds flew across our field of vision! Eight is the number of new beginnings!!! What does that mean? Well, as of this day, I will wait to find out what that means, but I know it was significant.
There were so many people who wanted prayer that our team stayed for over one hour praying for those who needed prayer. WE believe that many were healed of AID/HIV and we will receive the reports before the crusade is ended. WE saw many healed of tumors and blindness and deafness and headaches and many other things.
Finally, today, we went to the hospital and prayed for many children. My excitement was when we were in the Fathers ward. In East Africa, the parents remain in the room with their children. I annointed the hands of the fathers and had them pray for their children as well as myself. The fathers were deeply touched and received much from our God on this day.
Tonight, we expect to have the attendance double once again from last night. God is moving mightily and we pray that a mighty revival begins to spread across Tanzania. We believe that God has spoken to us that IT WILL BE THROUGH THE HEALING OF THE AIDS/HIV VIRUS that will spark this revival and have a temendous sense that what we are doing is far more important for the Kingdom of God that it might even look like at this time.
BLESSED ARE YOU, O KING OF THE UNIVERSE, THE CREATOR AND MAKER OF ALL THINGS!!! For it is you who sustains the universe with the power of your right hand. It is you who brings the fullness of Salvation to those who will seek you with their whole heart, soul, mind and strength. It is you who desires to pour out the very Life of Heaven upon your people, so that in the end, all of mankind will know that you are the Lord and there is no other.

Final Thoughts on Mwanza Crusade

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has appointed ME to bring good news to the poor. He has sent ME to comfort the brokenhearted and to announce that Captives will be released adn prisoners will be freed. He has sent ME to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord's favor has come." (Is 61:1-3 NLT)
This passage was fulfilled in the day of Jesus, yet it is to be continually being fulfilled in our day through the ongoing ministry of Jesus. If He is truely in our hearts, then, the Annointing of the Holy Spirit (The Messianic Annointing) is upon us while we are living in this day. Therefore the emphasis noted above, He has sent ME.
I love the crusade because it is a demonstration of God's power to believers and unbelievers alike. God comes down and visits His People. He heals the sick, casts out demons, sets the oppressed free from the bondage and oppression that controls their lives. It is so wonderful to behold at those times when Jesus is at work.
One of the main problems that I had to work through in my theology was that Jesus works through those who are fully committed to Him!! He works through His people!! We put our hands on the sick and Jesus causes them to recover!! We speak the words and Jesus cuases the demons to flee!! In the end, we speak the words that open up the heart, then, Jesus is free to walk into the person's life and set them free. We can intercede on behalf of the person, we can ask for God to bring the person a wonderful gift, we help them to open up their heart, then, Jesus does His work.
THE BIG QUESTION IS THIS: CAN JESUS WORK IF WE DO NOT GO, IF WE DO NOT OPEN OUR MOUTHS, IF WE DO NOT LAY OUR HANDS UPON THE PERSON?
We saw a half paralized man be set free from his paralization, we saw many deaf and dumb people speak, we saw dozens of tumors melt away, one even being the size of a babies head!! We saw many receive their hearing. We saw many be set free from the demonization that had come into their lives. We prayed with many to renounce the covenants they had made with the ancestral gods, others to renounce the vows of hate that they had made to themselves. In each case, the person was set free from these covenants and vows. We saw people even set free from epilepsy -- one man who had seizures every day was now seizure free!!
No man can do these things. No man has very much of anything to do with these things. It is, however, our hands and voice that bring heaven and earth together and enables Jesus to walk by and bring His fragrance to the earth and the very Glory of God to be seen by men. But, the only thing that we are to be grateful for is that our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life.
This last night, I saw how so many of the people were looking to our White team for the healing they so desparately needed. I simply refused to pray for those people until they began to look to Jesus for their healing. As they began to seek God, all I had to do was to touch them and down they went!! I helped them to seek God, and then, God did a mighty work in their lives!! O My God, what a wonder you are!!
On Sunday morning, I spoke in a local church of approx 110 people. I began by asking them why they come to church? Since you are now saved, why haven't you gone on to heaven yet? If you are still here, might it be for some greater purpose that has yet to be defined?
I began to speak from Luke 11 of a people who hide their light in the church and never let it shine forth into the darkness. That we are appointed for such a time as this to do various works that are defined as our righteousness, such as feeding the poor, clothing the naked and sheltering the homeless. The Scripure points out that we have a Righteousness, but it is the Glory of God that will be our Rear Guard (Is 58), that the Glory of God brings us the word that will break the oppression, smash the Yoke of Bondage that controls the lives of the people.
In other words, we are to do these wonderful works of righteousness only to form the relationships with the people in order that the King of Glory would then bring His ministry through our hands and through our mouths. Then, the hungry are set free from the causes of their hunger, the naked are set free from the causes of their nakedness, the prisoners are set free from the life long judgments that have caused their imprisonment, the captives are set free from the chains of sin that have been binding them.
Finally, my conclusion was that it because of the darkness that is still within us that so little of these things are happening. God pours out a tremendous River of His Glory, yet, out of our bellies (KJV) or out of our innermost being (NIV) comes nothing but a small creek or brook or stream. Most of the Glory of God is swallowed up by the darkness that is still in our lives.
We are fine until we are faced with the desparation of a desparate people. It is only then that we see the darkness and hardness that is in our hearts. Why can't we feel the desparation? Because it is just too easy to walk on by.
Yet it is Jesus who says that all power and all authority is made available through Him to bring life to a disciple. ALL POWER AND ALL AUTHORITY!!!!
Well, today David and I fly back to Arusha, Tanzania. Tomorrow I will begin teaching 23 students on the Character and the Nature of God. WOW, how does one do that!! Kevin and Kathy Basconi will begin to do mini crusades in the city. We expect to see God do wonderous miracles once again as my bible tells me that Signs and Wonders and Miracles will accompany the preaching of the Good News of the Kingdom of God and its establishment right here upon the earth.
