Hi Friends and Prayer Partners,
“Eternity” Written on our Hearts
Thank you for holding us up in prayer before the throne of God. Moving out into His call on our lives is not without its own set of challenges. God is taking us to a new place in prayer and increasing our sensitivity to His leading and instruction. Now is the time that each of us must be established in devotion and complete loyalty to His purposes because His Kingdom is eternal and it is not going to pass away. God is showing us what it means to have “eternity” written on our hearts. My heart is consumed with knowing Him as He knows me. He has been giving both Bill and I glimpses into His eternal realm. “Father, let us see this world through Your eyes.” Sometimes it is so hard for me to go through the weekly routine when my heart is exploding. I want to be there now doing what I see with the eyes of my heart. I want my heart to be broken over what breaks His heart. His eyes are truly fixed on the world that does not know Him. We must ask God to give us His heart and live according to His mandates, not necessarily a good opportunity or even a great need.
Bill and I are positioning ourselves by faith to receive all that God has promised. We have had so many amazing prophetic words over our lives this very year. With the natural mind it is truly overwhelming and almost impossible to believe what God has in store. However, we are seeing that as we step out in faith, the great God of the impossible goes before us. Doors are opening and miracles are happening on our behalf on the other side of the world. Prayer knows no bounds. Again it is not because of us, but because we have said “yes” to carry His heart to a lost and dying generation.
Weekly, we are hearing of miracles that are happening as people allow the Holy Spirit to minister to them as they listen to” Prepare the Way Ministry Radio Broadcast”. Additionally, reports are still coming in from Bill’s last ministry trip to eastern Africa last July and August. Do you remember when I shared in a previous letter of how Bill spoke to the Youth with a Mission team in Arusha, Tanzania last August? He spoke on unusual miracles. A portion of these YWAM students were gathered in a group praying for the mother of one of the young ladies. This woman was terminally ill, and the girl feared she would die. The power of God came over Bill and he grabbed the shoe from off of the girl’s foot. He spoke about how the apostle Paul prayed over handkerchiefs. As the piece of cloth was laid on a person, he or she would immediately recover. Bill asked God to send His healing power to the sick woman by way of that shoe. He instructed the girl to place the shoe on her mother’s foot and command her healing by the name of Jesus. Well, news is usually slow coming from Africa. Last week we received an email update on this woman. It was reported that the daughter took the shoe home. She placed it on her mother’s foot and commanded, “In the name of Jesus be healed!” The mother was completely and instantly healed. God is faithful to uphold His very word!
Another wonderful and exciting miracle is the progression of Faith Children’s Home. The money for the home is in Africa. When the owner was approached for the purchase of the home, he refused to sell it. God allowed what appeared to be a set back to be used for His glory. A new home has been located and it will accommodate the needs so much better. Negotiations are now in the process. This great house is large, sturdy and nicely painted. It has glass windows which is such a plus because they can be closed before the sun goes down. The mosquitoes that carry malaria seem to be of the nocturnal type. The home has 10 rooms for sleeping, 5 toilet rooms, and 7 rooms for bathing. It is equipped with a large play area outside. A fence and a gate will be placed around the property. The city water is 100 meters away and will be tapped into to bring water into the children’s home. The order has been placed for seven triple-decked beds that will arrive this week. Also 21 mattresses and blankets are on order. Three loving people have committed to sponsor a child up to this point. We are waiting for the pictures of the children to arrive. We will be placing each child’s picture along with the story of where they were found, how their parents died (if known), and as much information about them as we can on our web site www@preparethewayministry.com in the very near future. This way you can choose the child that you wish to sponsor or give a one time gift to. We will identify on the biographies which children are presently sponsored. We are so excited to take this step of faith with you. The body of Christ can not exist without each other. Where would the arm be without leg? Please to continue to pray. We will be returning to Uganda in February, but until then many important decisions must be made. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God!” Words can not express our gratitude to each of you as we serve King Jesus together.
One last thing, I must mention. God has impressed it upon someone’s heart to purchase a very nice microscope for the clinic. We will take it with us in February.
