Al & Henrita Westley - Visit Home To America A Bitter Sweet Experience
December 16, 2004

BY Al Westley
Temba Ministries, South Africa

My visit home to America was a bitter sweet experience. It was so wonderful to see so many of my family members and friends. It was so heart warming to laugh and love to share our experiences in Africa over the past year.

But in was so heart breaking to see the complacency that has set in so many churches. Many believers are too comfortable and at ease in Zion, they have no fire or passion for the things of God. I pray to God that this hardness of heart would be dissolved and that God’s people would be sensitive to the moving of the Spirit again.

Others seem to have stopped moving in God and have set camp upon what God has done in the past. Seeking to build a name for themselves upon the blessings of the past rather than moving into the next wave of God. I believe the next wave of God will be that of Apostolic faith and power unto those who are positioned properly.

APOSTOLIC FAITH & POWER

You need not be an Apostle to experience Apostolic faith and power such as Philip in Acts chapter 8. You must only be willing, obedient and hungry to see God’s power demonstrated in the earth. Acts chapter 8 is a great example of this coming wave of the Apostolic where the name of Jesus will be exalted and the power of God demonstrated to such a degree that the captives will be set free and even occult leaders who like Simon will desire to possess what we have.

This will be a global movement that will hit the church which many will miss because they are out of position. But to those who receive it there will be a great harvest of souls into the kingdom of God, not the kingdom of men.

BACK IN AFRICA

Upon arriving back in Africa we found our church "Greater faith Christian Fellowship" in good spirits and intact. God has truly blessed them to stand without us for two months, not a small feat for a church of under one year. I thank God for his faithfulness and the members for their obedience to the Spirit and leadership.

We were received back into the fellowship with warm and receptive hearts as we rejoiced in the Lord together and broke bread at a fellowship meal where we also exchanged gifts.

PRESENT FAITH

The Lord has laid on my heart a message of Greater Faith called, "Present Faith In A Present God”. Many people see God in the past or in the future, "God was" or "God to come." Few people see him as "God is" (present tense). Many Bible verses tell us God is, such as "the Lord is my shepherd, the Lord is my light, God is my rock." We must see God as is, "God is a present help in a time of trouble."

We must learn how to activate this present God into our present situations. This can only be done through a "present faith." Faith must be in the present tense. Faith cannot be in the past or future faith must always be in the present. Heb. 11:1 say “Now faith is ….” Not that faith was or faith will be, faith is always now.

God is in the present and faith must be in the present we must have faith now and God will move now. We must allow our faith to challenge our God, the Lord wants us to challenge who he is and what he can do. Faith must not be in faith. Your faith cannot produce miracles. God produces miracles! Jesus said “have faith in God”. When you have faith in God and ask for what you want with confidence (faith), God will grant your request. There is much more that I can say concerning this subject but will reserve it for later.

A DIVIDED PERSON SHALL NOT STAND

We have hit the conference circuit for the holiday season and the Lord has met us in a mighty way. Our first meeting was powerful as we preached "A Divided Person Shall Not Stand.” Jesus said, a kingdom, a city, or a house divided against itself cannot stand. Even so a person divided against itself cannot stand. A divided person is a double minded person.

A double minded person is his own worst enemy. Many people think the devil is there worst enemy when in reality it is themselves. Many believers are in torment struggling with themselves. Gal. 5:17 tells us the flesh fights against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. We must defeat the flesh and walk in the Spirit thus ending this conflict and division in our inner man. This will bring about such a great transformation within us enabling us to stand firm and walk in total victory. The devil will be trampled under our feet as we establish the kingdom of God on earth.

WAVE OF HEALING

After the message we prayed (my wife and I) for over Two hundred people individually to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Some were filled and others refilled by the power of God. An elderly woman requested prayer who was in pain and used crutches. She was seated and in too much pain to stand. We asked the Lord to heal her. She stood own her feet dropped her crutches and began to walk up and down the aisle healed by the power of God. After this miracle many in need of healing flocked the alter.

Two women with little or no use of one side of their body (probable stroke victims) were healed. They moved previously unusable limbs and ran across the front of the church.

One women wearing a knee brace was healed as she removed it and walked briskly around the church.

A wave of healing hit the church as the Pastor’s mother a elderly woman was healed of poor eye sight. She said she could see clearly out of both eyes as we prayed and asked Jesus to heal her. Many were instantly healed from pain in there bodies. Others who were lame began to walk.

What a wonderful God we serve! I truly thank God for such a wonderful service but I believe this is only the beginning of what the Lord is going to do in the earth.
