Happy Hill Purchases Brownsville "king Of Kings" Painting
April 2, 2005
The "Yes Lord, we'll ride with you" song which became the hallmark song of the Brownsville Assembly Pensacola, Florida revival encouraged artist Luis Lopex and Pastor John Kilpatrick design a beautful painting entitled "King of Kings". The 4 ft x 6 ft oil painting was placed in the baptistry and viewed by five million people in person and millions around the world saw it reproduced on tv and video productions. After an electrical fire forced the Brownsville congregation to remodel it's sanctuary and as the revival began to wane, the painting was placed in storage until lately when Luis Lopex contacted Happy Hill Church at the urging of several Godly people. Happy Hill congregation purchased the painting for ten thousand dollars and plan to display it in a prominent place for all to enjoy. This was one major icon/relic of the revival and the desire of the artist and Happy Hill to preserve it was heartfelt. With the painting comes 7 years of revival anointing from the Brownsville Sanctuary and it is thought that this anointing will provide a benefit for Godly people who are interested in viewing and experiencing recent history on display. The congregation of the country church called Happy Hill feels a great amount of satisfaction on becoming a custodian to the great stories and an icon the one of the most influencial revivals of the twentieth century. Happy Hill itself was established in 1916 when itinerant evangelists held ongoing series of revival services for five years which established the church which has never ceased to be a Pentcostal landmark for nearly a century.
