This year's Latter Rain Explosion, hosted by Voice of Praise Worship Center, was a great success ushering in a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in Bluefield, WV. Believers from across WV and beyond gathered together for a weekend of worship, healing and the prophetic.
We started Friday night with a spontaneous move of the Spirit. The people were called to deal with every hindrance in their lives so they would be free to receive all God had for them. As Matt stepped to the pulpit he began to move in a prophetic anointing praying over and releasing the word of the Lord to several individuals.
From there a wave of healing came into the room as Matt released several words of knowledge for healing. The Lord delivered many from a nicotine and smoking addiction. There were several healed of chronic and severe arthritis, as well as other physical infirmities.
One man testified to a healing in his right arm after a specific word of knowledge was called out for healing in a man's right elbow.
The power of God moved mightily upon a woman who began to jump, twist and bend as the pain from her arthritis left her body.
There were also many new believers who received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for the first time. This move of the Spirit lasted several hours.
Saturday night Matt ministered a prophetic teaching on the Lost Art of Tarrying. The power of God moved upon many as they responded to the call to begin waiting on the Lord for extended periods during their personal times of devotion.
THE NURSERY WAS FULL OF ANGELS
Sunday night there was an explosion in the Spirit as Matt ministered prophetically on the release of the double portion and the revival mantle. Before the service began Matt was standing out in the hallway getting ready to enter the sanctuary. As he was walking down the hallway he was overcome by the power of God. The Holy Spirit spoke to him "Matt, take notice of where you are standing." He looked and noticed he was standing right out in front of the nursery. He became aware of a company of angels in the nursery. The Lord spoke to him and said "As a token of what I am doing My power will touch the young people tonight!"
MATT WAS TAKEN TWENTY YEARS INTO AMERICA'S FUTURE
During worship Matt was caught up in the Spirit and was brought twenty years into the future. He saw America twenty years from now. He also saw the young children that were present in this meeting as well as young children all around the country being infused with a seed of righteousness that will supernaturally keep them form the pollution of the world causing them to become national influencers in the future raising up a standard of righteousness in our nation. Matt saw that although the darkness was greater the seed of righteousness with in these young people will preserve America. God is not finished with America!
Matt read Luke 3:4-6 about John the Baptist being a voice crying in the wilderness preparing the way of the Lord. He released a forerunner anointing over all the young people present.
THE WINNOWING FAN IS PASSING ACROSS AMERICA
He also prophesied that the Lord's winnowing fan is in His hand. The winnowing fan was used to separate the wheat from the chaff. The winnowing fan is passing over America. All that has been built by pride, selfish ambition and wrong motives will not stand. But the wheat will be stored in His barn.
Matt called forward all those thirty and younger. The power of God moved mightily upon these young people as they were released into a forerunner anointing to help prepare the way of the Lord.
A PREACHING ANOINTING RELEASED OVER THE YOUNG ONES
Matt prophesied over several of the young people releasing them into a "preaching anointing" and call. One young boy was so overcome by the Spirit all he could do was lay on the floor shaking as a preaching call and anointing was released over his life. Several other young people were covered with a prophetic mantle as the Spirit cam upon them.
After ministering the word the people were lined up all throughout the sanctuary and in the foyer as Matt laid hands on each one releasing an impartation of the double portion power of God. It was a glorious time!

The Latter Rain Explosion with Revivalist Matt Sorger was a very deep, rich, and powerful encounter with the Lord. For some time now, we have been crying out to the Lord for the heavier "rain" of His Presence and power in this time of the latter rain (Zechariah 10:1), and God has graciously been responding to our hungry cry. Many people were touched, healed, delivered, restored, baptized in the Holy Spirit, and set free. The worship was deep, passionate, and hungry. The Holy Spirit used Matt in powerful ways to give prophetic declarations and words of knowledge for the people. The messages Matt preached were "choice meat" of the Word - deeply penetrating and powerful. But the unique and wonderful result was that the people responded with sincere repentance and a holy longing for God, and the Lord responded by "raining" on us "times of refreshing" from His Presence (Acts 3:19). At times the Presence of the Lord was overwhelmingly tangible, like standing in a cool, refreshing rain on a hot, dry, summer day!
During all the services, Matt followed the Lord's leading and ministered to the people with the compassion and love of Jesus. Many people received, and were overcome by, the healing, delivering power of Jesus as Matt prayed for them. The life-changing impartation of the Lord to the people was an incredible thing to witness. The Holy Spirit really seemed to "explode" in several people!
Throughout the conference, the Holy Spirit seemed to focus strongly on the youth and the children. The Holy Spirit planted powerful "seeds" of destiny, purpose, and fire into the young people by speaking spontaneous prophetic decrees through Matt. The youth and children joyfully received the decrees of the Lord and worshiped with an even deeper passion for Jesus!
Many people from around the region and out of state attended the Latter Rain Explosion, and from the reports I've heard, I believe they left totally transformed and forever ruined for mediocrity and dead religion. Our church was already hungry and thirsty for God, but we moved to a whole new level of intimacy with Him and longing for Jesus. We desire to worship at His feet, but also bring more souls to do the same. We praise God and give Him all the glory for His awesome works among us during the Latter Rain Explosion! Thank you again, Matt for your genuine, servant-hearted ministry for the Lord. You really are making a big difference in the world and in the Body of Christ, and we appreciate you and your ministry so much. We look forward to the next time you are able to minister with us.
SOME HEALING TESTIMONIES
During the service Matt had a word of knowledge for healing in the knees, legs and ankles. The following are some healing testimonies that took place.
One nine year old girl, Carlie S., testified to the Lord healing her knee. She was suffering from "knee stiffness and pain". While we were praying she felt a heat in her knees and "all the pain went away!"

Another man also experienced a healing in his leg. David felt a pain in his left leg. He felt the power of God touch him from his waist down and "all the pain is now gone".
