Kindly Pray For The Terror Striken Tribals Of Chhattisgarh, India

Chhattisgarh has India's oldest tribal communities, and the earliest tribals have been living in this region for over 10,000 years. The main tribes are Gond, Abujmaria, Bisonhorn Maria, Muria, Halba, Bhatra, Parja, Dhurvaa, Muriya, Dandami Mariya or Gond, Dorla, and Halba. It has a population of around 25 million people.
Over 600 armed Maoist rebels surrounded the Arabore camp in violence-racked Dantewada, between 1 am and 2 am on July 17 opened indiscriminate fire in which 50 tribals were also injured. The death toll has reached 25 with the recovery of eight charred bodies from debris of burnt houses, while over 100 police cadres are missing after the raid.
Chhattisgarh is among the states worst affected by the Maoist menace. Nearly 50,000 tribals have deserted their native forested villages in the state in June 2005.
Indian Maoists, who control vast swathes of rural India along its eastern flank, claim they are fighting for the rights of poor peasants and landless laborers. Officials admit there are about 20,000 armed Maoist fighters in the country, backed by thousands more of sympathizers.

Several of our pastors and tribal believers are also affected during this unexpected insurgence by terrorists.

- the believers and pastors who are suffering due to the loss of their dear ones and their homes.
