Christmas At The Jesus Motel

CHRISTMAS AT THE JESUS MOTEL
It happened during worship. Cliff Power was worshipping Jesus at Trinity Christian Church in Victoria, BC. Suddenly he had a vision. In the vision he saw in great detail a motel and its surroundings. After the service, he described the vision to his friends. They said, 'we know that motel. Let's go there and pray for it.' As they were praying, with arms outstretched towards the motel, two police squad cars drove up.
'What are you doing?", the cops asked.
'We're just praying for the people in this motel.'
'Well, you sure picked the right motel to pray for - this one is the worst one in Victoria. It is full of pimps, prostitutes, dealers and addicts,' the cops replied. The Lord spoke to Cliff and told him to live there and establish a throne of worship and love the people. Cliff moved in. He established 24 hour a day worship, playing worship CD's continuously in one of the dingy rooms. Then Cliff ministered to the practical needs of the residents. One by one, and then in groups, the people came to him. They received love, nurture, healing and deliverance. Many gave their hearts to Jesus. Then it was Christmas Eve. My family and I along with some others joined Cliff and his new friends, and the ones who hadn't received Christ yet - some of them still immersed in the lifestyle of despair - but what a Jesus celebration. Worship, Christmas Carols, gifts, everyone attentive, and then prayer and ministry. Later, on another occasion, as we sat in one of the motel rooms, filled with motel residents, Jesus showed up. The power of God began healing sick, hurt, addicted bodies. "I'm healed, I'm healed!' 'I'm free!' different ones exclaimed. 'I want Jesus in my heart,' others called out. Outside on the street, prostitutes were going about their solicitations, drug deals were going down. People were coming in and out of the room but it was a sanctuary because Jesus was there. One young man said, 'I have a lot of dental problems but I don't think I could ask for healing. I've never believed in God. I've never really heard about him.' We told him to just think about it and everything he had seen tonight and that we were available whenever he was ready. The next day the young man woke up in his hotel room covered in gold dust - his bedding, his clothing, his body and when he looked in the mirror he had a brand new silver cap on his decayed tooth! He came back saying, 'I believe, I believe - I want this Jesus too.'
