One miracle isn't necessarily greater than another, but some do tend to touch you more than others. This was the case 3 weeks ago today. Two sisters, Angela and Sherry, both in their mid to late 50's, came as they often did to the Bremen Food Bank for supplemental groceries. They sat on the front row as I shared a time-limited devotional prior to the start of the long day's activities. No longer allowed (at this time) to call people forward for prayer, I called out a lady in the audience by the Holy Spirit and told her to stand to her feet.
The Holy Spirit revealed she was in severe pain in her back, hips, and legs. The two sisters turned their heads to watch to see what would happen next. As the power of God came over this lady she began to tremble and weep. I asked her what was happening. She replied, "It's gone. The pain is all gone." I then asked her to come forward and give a testimony to the reality of God's Power. She stood beside me, still trembling, telling everyone, "This is real. This is very real."
From the front row, Angela, the older of the two sisters, hollered out to me, "Pray for my sister, she was in a car accident 27 years ago." I asked them both to come to the prayer room* as my time was up. The story unfolded from Angela as Sherry sat quietly, hands folded in her lap and staring at the floor.
27 years ago Sherry was in a car accident that left her hips and legs in a state where she could only walk with a "peg-leg" style limp. As if that wasn't enough, a sheriff's deputy who was working the scene of the accident put Sherry in his squad car to take her to the hospital. On the way the deputy himself was involved in an accident and Sherry, who was pregnant at the time, lost a baby boy. At that point of the conversation Sherry totally turned her back to me and her sister. Michelle, (my wife) still had a view of her profile and watched as she began to wring her hands and her lower lip began to tremble.
27 years ago someone told Sherry, "God took your baby." And for almost 3 decades she not only has lived with a severe physical deformity, but has endured the emotional and spiritual turmoil that God actually killed her baby. Three areas of pain and suffering: emotional, spiritual, and physical.
I began to open the Word of God to her from John 10:10: it is the thief who comes to "steal, kill, and destroy." Jesus came to give you His life and to give it more abundantly. She listened with an open heart and mind eagerly devouring every word. When I asked her if she had ever made Jesus her personal Savior she replied no. At that point I ask her would she like to. She nodded in affirmity. I turned to Angela and said, "What about you?" She told me she was "backslid" to which I replied, "Would you like to 'slide back'?" She smiled and said yes.
We led the sisters in a prayer of repentance, turning to God and from their sins, as well as the wrong perception of Who God is. We focused then on Sherry for the 27 years of emotional grief from the loss of her child. Then we commanded total reversal of all the affects of the accident. The enemy had no authority now to hold her captive to the physical deformity she had walked in. I commanded Sherry then to stand to her feet.
Immediately she responded to my words and stood for a moment, silently at first as we all watched. You could see a 'self check' of her body taking place in her mind. Her eyes then grew big as saucers as she raised her hands and began to run back and forth as hard as she could go in this small 8' x 10' room. Angela jumped to her feet and began to jump up and down clapping her hands, as the excited voice of her sister demanded her attention, "LOOK, SISTER, LOOK, I DON'T WALK WITH A LIMP ANYMORE!"
There were tears of joy, laughter, and celebration to all of us in the room that day. To both the seen and the unseen. Angels too were giving praise to Jesus - our Savior, Healer, and Deliverer.
Now, three weeks since, Angela received her own healing last Saturday night at our first miracle/healing service for West GA. Now, a former COPD patient, she was able to breathe freely, running around and around the room declaring, "I'm healed, I can breathe, I can breathe."
And yes, Sherry is still healed and walking in her miracle. Thank you, Jesus!
There have been far to many miracles and healings to mention here. Last Saturday night, at least 80% of the people who came for a healing, got it. I am amazed at the goodness of God. Not that He can heal, but at the consistency in which we are seeing it here in West GA. I honestly have not seen such high percentages of healings in America, ever. It is very reminiscent of third world nations. We are very humble regarding these awesome works of God. Please feel free to forward this on your email list to let others know - God still has His Hand on America. He hasn't forgotten us.
(*At this point we no longer have a prayer room either to pray for folks.)
For prayer directives just know, it isn't the sinners that oppose us - but rather religious spirits in the form of Pharisee's and Sadducee's.
