Testimony Of Paul A 36 Year Old Man From A Tiny Ugandan Village.

The Testimony of Paul
Bryan Mohr
May 21, 2008

This is the testimony of a 36 year old man from a tiny Ugandan village. His name is Paul. He was a special hire taxi driver having a route from Entebbe to Kampala. His life consisted of drunkeness and womanizing.

One day Paul was driving the taxi while intoxicated and drove off the road causing an accident. He then fled the scene by foot. The police were searching for Paul so he went back to his small village near Nawansega. From that time he drank heavily in the village. He was known as a town drunk - a loser that lost a good job and blew his money on booze.

There reached a time in Paul's life that he wanted to take his own life. So, he took poison. He was then taken to a hospital and treated. He managed to recover. However, not long afterwards Paul's house caught fire and everything in the house was lost. His reputation as a drunk, a loser, and now the loss of all his possessions brought him to desire suicide once again.

In July 2007, Paul's grandmother died. Paul attended the burial ceremonies (which in the Ugandan culture last for many days). When he arrived at the funeral ceremonies he was stone drunk. He caused an embarrasing scene and even got into a fight with some of his relatives. After bringing shame to himself and his family he left the ceremony and headed to a bar. On the way to the bar he heard a voice call to him, "Paul, why don't you get saved?" Paul began to ponder the words of the mysterious voice.

After two weeks of avoiding his family Paul returned to his home. He was tired and hung-over. While he was laying on his bed he heard the faint sound of worship music. Paul's wife told him, "The saved's are at Nawansega." Paul said, "Is it? Then I have to go and get saved." His wife laughed at him, "You're a drunk - how are you going to get saved?"

Paul left his house and went toward the music he was hearing. What Paul discovered was an Advancing the Kingdom crusade. He remained on the other side of the road from the crusade, but was listening to Cliff preaching. It seemed to Paul that the words he was hearing were all speaking directly to him. In his heart he said, "This must be God speaking to me." Paul was led to the altar call and confessed his desire to be saved. From that time on he attended the ATK crusades.

Paul went to a Todd Bentley crusade with Cliff, Julie, and others. During a time of impartation, Todd Bentley prayed for Paul and a powerful annointing was imparted to him that day. Later, three people were miraculously healed when Paul prayed for them. It was obvious that Paul had a special gifting.

However, Paul's family background was clouded with witchcraft, specifically, shrine worship of demons. The covenants formed with these evil spirits were soon to war against Paul. This war between God and His enemies would rage in Paul for the next four months.

Paul suddenly went "mad". During an ATK church service Paul threatened people as he waved a garden hoe. Paul had to be tied to a tree with ropes.

There was a fierce spiritual battle occurring. Paul was placed in a hospital for a month. When he returned home evil spirits led him into a swampy area. He found himself in water and covered with leaches. Paul knew he was in that place to die.

Paul heard a voice that night, "Go to the church for prayer so you will be healed." This was during a special conference last February at the church where Larry Mohr and myself were ministering. Larry prayed for Paul, not knowing anything about him. He prayed that his mind would be released. God came down in power to Paul.

Paul's life began to be restored very quickly. Paul is now serving God and growing spiritually. Paul often has revelatory knowledge (prophetic annointing) given to him by God for others. For example, while at Evangel Church in Jinja recently, God showed Paul three people who were healed in the Spirit.

AS Cliff guided Paul, he spoke what the Spirit revealed to him. I think you can guess what happened. The people were healed! Paul is also preaching Kingdom messages now and is becoming such a blessing to his family and so many others. He is being dicipled in the ways of God and learning to walk in unity with Holy Spirit.

I ask a question. What if ATK had not been doing a crusade in the remote village where Paul was from? I ask another question. How many other Paul's are out there needing someone to show them the Way? God needs you to witness to others about Him. That is how He has chosen to make His ways known on this earth such that salvation may come to all nations (Psalm 67:1-2)
