Supernatural/Natural "Basileia"

By Ron McGatlin

The term "kingdom of God" is used commonly today but what does the term as Jesus used it really mean and what does it mean to us today? It is vital that we receive a fresh reality from the Holy Spirit and the Bible. We may, for the most part, have an unreal religious church-age view of the word of kingdom "basileia" that Jesus spoke.

Basileia is the Greek word translated kingdom in the New Testament. Basileia comes from the Greek root "basis" which almost translates directly into English

Basileia means foundation of power, realm, rule, or royalty.

Basis means to walk, to pace, or foot.

Let’s break down the English word kingdom. King means ruler or sovereign. Dom is the root from which we get words like dominion, dominant, domain and dome. Thus the kingdom of God means the "sovereign ruler/dominion walk of God, the ruler/dom of God".

The kingdom of God is a realm or walk, a lifestyle, sovereignty ruled by the foundational power of God, through which God’s "ruler/dominion" is established on earth. The kingdom walk or lifestyle is produced by the appearing or manifesting of Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit within God’s people.

Father God desires that all His children both young and old continue to grow as kingdom disciples of Christ in these important early stages of receiving foundational spiritual precepts of the "basileia" of God. As God’s people transition from the church age into the kingdom age there is a process of retraining for increased proficiency in spiritual matters that affect natural life.

One of the greatest hindrances to receiving the truth of God by the Holy Spirit is religious teaching empowered by a spirit of religion that creates spots of spiritual blindness in our hearts. Simply put, because of hard rocks of religious convictions we can be blinded to the truth of the basileia life of God. We may hear and faithfully follow the Holy Spirit as He reveals the Bible truth to us in much of our hearts and lives but yet remain blinded and unable to see and receive truth from the Holy Spirit in some other areas of truth.

The previously held strong religious convictions are strongholds in our hearts which, we so dearly trust in that we are completely blinded to further truth in that spot. We simply continue to choose what we have been previously taught and will not hear or see the Holy Spirit revealing the word of the supernatural kingdom of God. While we sincerely think we seek Him with our whole heart, we deceive ourselves and hold tightly to some religious stronghold spots that blind us to further truth of the basileia of God.

A decision needs to be made on our part to lay all of our past religious training upon the alter of God in our hearts. This will cause us to become as little children with a cleared heart soil or a clean slate ready to receive fresh truth of God through Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Then, a prayer needs to be made to our Father to give us back that portion of what we have laid down that He wants us to retain and to plant the real truth in our prepared receptive heart soil to replace that which He does not give back to us.

The real word of the kingdom of God will grow when planted in good soil. The fruit of the supernatural kingdom planted in the heart of man is the kingdom flowing out of man into the natural world. Thus the spiritual supernatural kingdom becomes the practical natural kingdom. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that is both supernatural and natural.

Much of our past religious convictions that have served us well enough in the man-centered church emphasis age must be altered and updated into the further revelation of the unchanging spiritual reality of the manifesting kingdom emphasis age. God does not change; we are changing as we continue to break up the hardened soil of our hearts and dislodge and throw out our hard rocks of previous erroneous convictions and the thorn bushes of the cares and riches of this life. The good heart soil planted with the word of the kingdom will grow a very fruitful (productive) basileia life.

Being productive in God’s kingdom age requires kingdom skills.

We are like workers who have spent our entire work lives employed in a productive industry that has now begun to disappear. The skills and abilities we had developed are no longer needed as the industry fades away for some reason beyond our control. The large buildings become quiet and the machinery and tools become idle as the plant shuts down. It may close down in stages or all at once but in either case it becomes inevitable that we as workers must be retrained to do some other job. Some of our basic abilities may be usable but retraining in new skills to be productive in our new work will be required.

Our past knowledge, doctrines and methods that have worked for us in the past may not work in the future. These tools that were productive and that we have become so accustomed to and skilled at using may need to be laid aside and others acquired to be productive in the new work in the new season of life we are entering. In general, what kinds of knowledge and tools might be changed in the kingdom emphasis age? In the previous age our tools and skills were developed to produce the institutionalized church. In the emerging age our spiritual knowledge, strength, and methods must develop by the Spirit to produce the basileia of God.

What is the primary difference in the gospel of being born again that we have preached and the gospel of the kingdom that Christ Jesus preached?

There are two fundamental differences and the first is focus. The predominant general focus of the gospel of "salvation" or being born again, as it was preached in the church emphasis age, was on making it to heaven when we die. The focus of the gospel of the kingdom that Christ Jesus preached was on living godly now on earth. Yes, it included being born again and heaven after death. However, the purpose for being born again was to mature in Christ and bring heaven or heaven’s ways to earth more than heaven after death. Heaven, after we die is a very important part of the gospel but not the primary focus of the teaching and ministry of Christ Jesus.

The second fundamental difference is increased wholeness. The gospel of being born again is a vital part but only a part of the great gospel of the kingdom. Jesus had only about three years of ministry on earth. He knew His time here was short and therefore preached and demonstrated the most complete reality of the gospel and work of God. The gospel Jesus preached was filled with deep heavenly wisdom for living life on earth now. His work of redemption included complete provision for mankind and subsequently the entire world and planet. Jesus, the redeemer of the world, came to return all the kingdoms of this world to the kingdom of God - to rule and reign as the rightful King through many redeemed sons with righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The gospel of the kingdom begins with being born again but includes complete redemption and empowerment for life and ministry. Sanctification to a holy life, deliverance from powers of darkness, healing in spirit, soul and body and everything else that is needed to become pure holy sons of God to rule and reign with Christ is included in the gospel of the kingdom. God is preparing people as tools equipped and empowered to proclaim and demonstrate the kingdom of God lifestyle on earth. The primary endowment in this process of preparation is the LOVE of God flowing through the Holy Spirit.

God’s love is the predominant characteristic of the kingdom of God.

All of the empowerment and tools to tear down our strong holds of religious error and build the corporate spiritual structure of kingdom living on earth are rooted in and filled with the LOVE of God. There is no potential realization of kingdom living for us without our coming to a far greater reality of experiencing the intense passionate love of God than most of us have experienced in the past age. LOVE is by far the greatest principle and foundational reality in the kingdom of God. God’s love for you and me is more intense and more all consuming than most have ever known.

In this season of transition and transformation, God’s people are at different stages of hearing and receiving the gospel of the kingdom. If this brief word is troubling to you, please consider taking an honest look at the basileia of God and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and revelation.

We continue to receive reports from people being powerfully impacted and growing in the kingdom of God through the "Kingdom Growth Guides" and "Overcoming Life On A Small Planet." These and other books are available for free download at the archive.openheaven.com website.

Keep on pursuing love.
It never fails.

Wow, good word. Teachableness includes letting God wreck ANY preconceived Doctrine or truth we have learned by any means other then Revelation by the Spirit.

Amen and yes wreck us Lord!

This song came to mind and began singing that says,` Lay it all down, lay it all down, lay it all down for the HEART of heaven.' The heart being the core being, as Ron so sptly put " The kingdom of God is a realm or walk, a lifestyle, sovereignty ruled by the foundational power of God, through which God’s "ruler/dominion" is established on earth. The kingdom walk or lifestyle is produced by the appearing or manifesting of Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit within God’s people." underline & bold mine *k

This is our very longing, burning, passionate desire!

The fire of God that is being poured out in this season that both purifies the people of God and destroys the pride and loftiness of man across the world. Great destruction of evil and great releasing of holiness and pure hearted people of God for a purpose.

The purpose for the glorious destructive and purifying all consuming fire of God is to bring forth the real kingdom of God. This gospel of the kingdom must be preached to all the earth. The kingdom of God is come and the will of God is done in the pure holy hidden people of God that shall come forth to bring the greatest message of all time to heal, deliver, transform and fill the earth with the glory, peace and joy of God. Praise our Saviour, Lord and KING Christ Jesus. Amen

"Blessings upon Blessings are manifested upon the open and everyday experience of being with someone who is in love and in that... able to love...!"

Thanks Bro Ron.....

LOVE is by far the greatest principle and foundational reality in the kingdom of God. God’s love for you and me is more intense and more all consuming than most have ever known.

Potential Realization is manifested in Love, that which is foundational to a Righteous and on going relationship, that which is founadational to living within the "Basileia" ...

Or maybe better said:  In our gathering to walk through this time given to us  on earth, with one another, reguardless of our knowledge, therefore giving time to others in our being free in love... and in doing so, making it possible via the potential of love for ourselve and others to understand the wisdom of Him who is the King of the Basileia...

Love, as a potenentialis,  manifest it's power "within" Our Lord, Who is Christ and that is now being manifested  "within"  our walk as sons and daughters.

Free we are... no longer "held" in bondage to learn of What, When , and How we are to be, in our being "without" walking in and among a fallen world and able to see what Our Lord sees and in seeing the truth, reach out in that Love and do just that....Love one another!

Thanks for a good word on the Word ...Kingdom!

Hey Bro Ron....

... and before I speak to things here in Texas, allow me to say that Lyn has presented  us a wonderful statement here!

"God's love" is the predominant characteristic of the Kingdom of God."

This is so interesting in the it...is as "if" the other eight Frutits of the Spirit begin to unfold out of love like pedals on a flower!

And, that is the way it seems to me as we are experiencing spring, but it seems to be differen't, in that.... there is a "spiritual spring" this year.

So things here are are blooming within and without one might say!

What make the experienc a bit more interesting is that Bonnie and I are moving into our new "Mon & Pop" house and and as we start each day I seem to see, so as too feel the explanation you have shared about how it is the Kingdom is walk, in the presence of the King works.

This scripture come to mind:

John 6:27 (KJV)
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

It seems that something is being sealed up within us and love is the lid on the jar!

Thank you both for your Joy!

Larry

Thanks Lyn for the picture as it made me think , via both heart and mind, using the old brain as it was designed to function! Then... add your scripture and we are looking "within" are we not?

Is Lyn's Scripture and the picture via a "clean imagination" ?

I thinks so, as it add to our understanding of what Bro Ron is sharing here , as.....  wisdom of the Kingdom of God...

Love the Lord your God with all you heart with all you soul with all you mind and love your neighbour as yourself.

Ok... how do we do that?

The word used in this  verse for heart is kardia, which means mind, but the word used here for mind is imagination... and our soul as it is being birthed via out spirit.

In principle we love first "within" via our imagination, just as it is within that we form vai or hearts of mind our evil concepts, manifested as iniquity or iniquitious thoughs , called sinful thoughts, which are foundationl to sinful actions.

Some thing ( imagined) comes back to me as I looked at the little boy standing at the sign post in the picture!

The meaning of this ( above) scripture speaks of a way, and becomeing child like in our recieving one another, we are free to love Our Lord with the logical thoughts of our mind, and these thought passing through our soul add to our understanding of how we can love via our imaginations and whatever come to us ( conseption) "is indeed" the wisdom to be used to love our neighbours, in that how we do that is a joy for us manifesting a righteous "perseption" of loving, manifested as fruits of the Spirit.

It's the way of a kid, before he or she is taught to fear! And this is the reason so many kids are standing at a cross road with a a muiltude of signs pointing to anything other than Christ.

Prophets are taking these road signs down, are they not? And are not these signs posted in the imagination?

i·mag·i·na·tion (¹-m²j"…-n³"shn) n. 1.a. The formation of a mental image of something that is neither perceived as real nor present to the senses. b. The mental image so formed. c. The ability or tendency to form such images. 2. The ability to confront and deal with reality by using the creative power of the mind; resourcefulness: handled the problems with great imagination. 3. A traditional or widely held belief or opinion. 4. Archaic. a. An unrealistic idea or notion; a fancy. b. A plan or scheme. --i·mag"i·na"tion·al adj.

Children; and unless we become like one in our seeking, who are raised in fear as opposed to love lose this ability to use their imagine...

This fear filled worldy imagination propagated by those given to religiou law is the foundation for a vain inagination, because it ( the imagination) is focused on this of the world or without... as opposed to those thing "within" and or those things we find in our thoughs that speaks of lovely and right related things.

Children who grow up void of this ability to trust character, do so because they cannot imagine the outcome of trusting others, therefore "faithless" in minding the wisdom of God on how we are to love him or her selves, others , and God Himself...

Romans 1:21 (KJV)
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

The wisdom here is that to use one's imaganation is not evil, but even "today" children "who know" God , do not account for how they Are to function = glorifying Him in their approch to life and manifest this "thankless mindset" of taking everything as due them ... ( we say for granite)...

Then the so called highly educated wonder ( imagineless in character) why it is they perish in druges and drink. Intersingly enough it on when thye use drugs and drink they are free to use thier God given imagination, but now it;s for forming those things found in darkness...

2 Cor. 10:5 (KJV)
    Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Casting down imaginations....Yes!....But it is those high minded things that we think ( imagine)  we can do and are taught by being members of unrighteous folks meetings in churches that we can do in the fleah, which in turn are "against the Knowledge taught in scripture" that have and will "bring" one into bondage, as opposed to freedom when taken ( via self control) captive with a mind give to be God like in manner manifesting the Name of Christ in character...

Powerful minds containing the Word of God are useless, without the balance of a clean and pure = hallowed imagination , given to see the walk of Kingdom of God as ones live in being godlike first, then doing what we do in loving our neighbor.

This is the reason we cannot love our neighbor, other only in using a logical appraoch in mind, just saying hello. To give him or her time is to expose both yours and or his or hers imagination, because this is a matter of "Faith"

So what do we do?

"Oh ...well, bring him or her to church and let the leaders do that!"

And or.... do we in our going out each day walk as we project or imaginations to seeking those eternal things of the Kingdom. Being what Our Lord is and was and will be to our neighbor are we?

"Salt we are in Law, but in the Kingdom... Sweet we are in Grace!"

"Imagine that!"

Bro Larry

YES LARRY...

as I was reading what you wrote my thoughts went to the sign post, how many put up their "own" sign posts leading people to their "own place", then teach them things that have been out of the own vain imaginings....

ROMANS 1 (AMPLIFIED)

21Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and [c]godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.

22Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves].

23And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin],

25Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).(C)

26For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,

27And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another--men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own [d]bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.

28And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome,

29Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers,

30Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, [and] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents.

31[They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless.

32Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.

Let us be the spiritual beings that we are meant to be...let us hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and be obedient to it...

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth:
for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6

Blessings Lyn and hugs to you and yours around and down!

Again, you must give me a break!

This scripture give us and explanation of the minds of men....

2 Cor. 3:4-6 (KJV)
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

The Greek word sufficiency is powerfuly here.

In context Paul tell us we as sanits do not approach what we do in our thinking in the pride of our knowledge of anything, projecting our comptentence, doing what we feel is ample , thereby telling al we are the ones fit to do for God these great things that surley are because they are large in number, great before Him'

Hikanos...from hiko [akin to Greek 2240 (heko)] (to arrive); competent (as if coming in season), i.e. ample (in amount) or fit (in character) :- able, + content, enough, good, great, large, long (while), many, meet, much, security, sore, sufficient

This arrived mindset is a manifestation of the like of character, in that they forgive there humility in being and run in their doing to do thinking because they are involved in projectin the church are doing God's Will...

They think they are..." fit in character"... but in truth, they are "out of chartacter" with faking the frutits of God by acting and or pretending to love God.

I like this and it is at the heart of the matter of waht is a right and or righteous way or an un-righteous way of serving God.

"; not of the letter, but of the spirit:"

In the pride of knowing the letter voi one intelect and unable to love in the spirit they , (men and women) give over to the Law in doingm and forgive the peace of just being, they by honoring the Grace of God in thier "everyday living"...

Here is the wisdom, in this everyday living, we are conscious and become more so of how it is God is moving among us to love "all" and this is different from having to "do" attending to big meeting and events.

In truth Our Father in Heaven allows men to think thye are doing big things and His wisdom is to let those things run its course, and only then do men stand down and back to see that " sure" some were healed and in the back of there conscious and conviction come the question: "For what reason can not God do what he does in every home?"

In truth He can, but He is waiting for them to repent of their "Sufficiency"

In due season, and it is hard even now, only the rich will be able to run here and there saying " Come we have Jesus here!"

If we are "able" as ministers are we not to count Our Lord "sufficient" where we are?

Matthew 24:26 (KJV)
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

The insuficient in mind , must call what they do sufficient, to project their work and this requires a far off place, and in truth this is a problem for those who believe the Holy Spirit can be at more than one  place at a time...

What do we think, is that what is of the Spirit should be attended to!
