What Price We Pay For Holiness!
What price we pay for Holiness,
What persecution we endure.
We must forgive other’s offences toward us,
our hearts must always be pure.
What price we pay for holiness,
to obtain the covenant and mercy
He swore unto our fathers.
We must keep His commandments, His statues
and judgments, and serve no other GOD.
We must listen, be obedient and study His Word.
And from our hearts He will not depart.
What price we pay for holiness.
We must praise Him through
the good and the bad.
And stand on His promises
even when we cannot see the end.
We must continually rejoice in Him
and never allow our hearts to be sad.
What price we pay for holiness.
And it all seems difficult at times to do!
But Jesus bore 39 stripes
to purchase freedom for me and you.
So when times get hard
and your day is filled with misery.
Lift your hands in praise and worship to Jesus
who paid the price for you and me to be set free.
Thank Him for His love,
believing that the just shall live by faith.
Then rest in God’s word
that he will never leave us or forsake us;
and holiness is just a prayer away.
For He lives inside of you and me;
And walks hand in hand with us every day!
